MDH Decks, Mike Hays, completed our deck replacement with a new multi-level Trex deck and railing. Mike is professional, honest, and easy to work making this one of few times dealing with a contractor on a major project was a pleasant experience. No mistakes, unwarranted changes, delays, excuses, or cost overruns. Mike and his crew are meticulous in both work ethic and skilled craftsmanship, from design to completion. We appreciated the small crew (Jamie, Damyan, Mike and Clayton) who were all friendly, professional and respectful. Mike kept us informed throughout the project and was very accommodating on our last minute adjustments. He fulfilled every promise, including honoring his fairly priced cost estimate and ensuring our total satisfaction. We highly recommend Mike Hays- MDH Decks!

MDH Decks did an outstanding job from demolition to completion. Mike was very thorough explaining everything that was going to take place during the installation of my TREX deck. He was also very responsive and answered every question I had. Mike and his crew worked as a team during the installation, and I could clearly see they were very confident in their abilities. Even with a few days of bad weather, MDH Decks was able to finish the project a few days ahead of schedule. When it comes to integrity and workmanship, Mike and his crew exceeded all expectations.

Mike is a true professional and our entire experience with him and his team was outstanding. As the owner of MDH decks, Mike does the consultation and design himself, which eliminates a lot of overhead and put his quote several thousand dollars ahead of the larger companies we obtained quotes from. Throughout the planning/design phase, Mike was extremely upfront and honest about limitations of certain designs and benefits/drawbacks of specific styles, and it was extremely refreshing to have somebody who truly cared about us and our desires rather than just making money. Being a smaller company, Mike was present on the job site along with his crew and he came to the door to provide us project status updates at least daily, in addition to email updates, so we always knew the status of the project and what he expected to accomplish the next day. The final product is strong, beautiful, and better than anything we could have imagined. I'm truly grateful we found MDH decks and got to know Mike, and I give my absolute highest recommendation to him and his company. Mike and his team built my new composite deck in September 2021 and did a great job! Iâ ve had so many compliments including from the Landscaping company the following fall. Over time I noticed a couple of the faciaâ s starting to pull away from the deck. Keep in mind this is now May 2024. I sent Mike a picture via text to ask if this was normal. He responded within just a few minutes and scheduled to come out within a couple of days and fixed within a day or so after that! MDH Deck is a company that clearly takes pride in their workmanship and stands behind their product. They absolutely have my recommendation.

Mike was a pleasure to do business with. He and his team finished the job well before projected. They were here when they said they would be. I’m new to the area and finding someone to show up had been challenging. The deck looks beautiful and I couldn’t be happier.

MDH Decks built a beautiful large and spacious composite deck complete with steps and a gated entrance that exceeded my expectations. Mike (owner/builder) is extremely knowledgeable and forthcoming with his analysis of repair/replacement and at no time did I feel wary of cost or proposed work/materials. Out of 4 estimates, MDH Decks was the most reasonable and most thorough. You cannot put a price on attention to detail and competency and that made choosing MDH Decks easy. My assigned work crew was professional and reliable, especially crew leader Jamie. The work site was always maintained at the end of each day. After all the horror stories I've heard about contractors in Colorado Springs, I can definitely say that MDH Decks is heads and shoulders above the rest. Mike built a Trex deck and extended my split rail fence a few years ago. Mike is a true professional but the main reason I hired him is because he is an Air Force veteran. Those guys have precision running through their veins and I knew Mike would do it right. My deck looks great, his crew were very polite and respectful, and everything was kept clean and tidy. Mike also spent extra time coming up with an alternate solution for my railing. Two years later, I contacted Mike with a question and he went above and beyond to help me. Thank you, Mike.
