Mac-McDonald Asphalt Construction

I disliked that he told me it would be evenly poured at 2 inches thick but there are some spots that are only 3/4 inch. I would never recommend them to family or friends.

1st I called and there was no acknoledgement of whether it was the company or not, just a leave a message...beep. The son (Mack) said he was out of town and had me call and meet with his father at the location of the project. I got there and was standing around for some time . I noticed a guy on the phone, he did not acknoledge me of any kind and just kept talking on his phone for around another 10 minutes. I didn't even know if that was him or not , so I continued to wait for someone to show up or for him to acknowledge me. When he got done with his phone conversation he looked at me and I asked him if he was the asphalt guy and all he replied was yes....No sorry's it took so long or anything. We finally began the conversation in which he didn't seem terribly commited to the project or if I was a even a valued customer. He didn't take time to measure the parking lot, just a rough estimate. When I asked him what the job would entail, he had little information for me, also, there was no written estimate and when I asked for a breakdown of the expenses he just wrote down on a estimate sheet on the things I was asking on what the project entailed (as if he was just trying to appease me). If that is how I'm being treated in the beginning how am I going to be treated during the project. On top of all of this I have yet to receive a follow-up phone call. It seems has a very lack of professionalism and his estimate was the highest bid ($3,200.00 for repairing 500 sq. ft. of parking lot).

The owner, Ed arrived himself and with great professionalism gave me an estimate and answered all of my questions. The next day he sent his crew of about 8 and they started in right away. Mr. McDonald was on site with the crew and worked with them for part of the time. They completed the job within about 7 hours and did a superb job. The completed driveway was excellent and they guaranteed their work. I highly recommend their services. An alternate phone number we have for them is 719-210-9460.
