Lumber Liquidators

I would never shop at this store again. They do not take care of their customers. The quality of the product was terrible.

I read their blog and when I went there, their floors are great, cheap. It's definitely a good way to buy your flooring. But for them to do the installation they subcontract it out. Their customer service sucks. For them to follow up on work you have to chase them down. They didn't finish the stairs. I had to keep calling them. Eventually I got tired of chasing these guys around so I'm having someone else finish the details on my stairs. I paid 7000 to get it done and it was a lousy job. I definitely won't use them again for install.

I did the flooring myself. They are good. I had to wait for the order to come in but it was fine. The wait was for a couple of weeks I think. It was about 3500 dollars for what I needed. I didn't have any bad experience with them at all. I would give them an 'A' all around I guess. I never dealt with them very much. It was like you walk into the store you buy something and walk out. If I needed some wood or something I will go back.

Failed to meet delivery date by over month and then waited over 40 min to pick up. After " good evening" when walked in down hill for customer service.

I placed the order over the phone. They called when it was ready and I picked it up. Simple easy process.

We were very pleased with the ease and efficiency of the ordering process. We applied for a Lumber Liquidators credit card and qualified for a no interest 12 month payoff.The order arrived several weeks later. We picked it up and stored it at our house for nearly three weeks to acclimate the wood to the home's humidity, then had it installed by our local store's top installer. (Did a review on them in a separate review.) Overall, it was a painless and thoroughly rewarding experience. We marvel at the incredible transformation from drab carpet to a truly magnificent hardwood floor!

The lumber was not good quality. We purchased it before Christmas and were unable to open the bundles until after New Years. When we opened some of the bundles, there were many defects. Lumber Liquidators would not take them back because they said it had been more than 30 days. They would not even take back the bundles that were unopened. They were unwilling to work with us to make it right. Their installer would not help us either. I found a different installer who salvaged as much as possible so that the project could be completed. I would not recommend the unfinished wood sold by LL, nor recommend them due to their poor customer service.

First contact was a phone call back in August, as I was not looking to just buy floor but to get it installed as well. They set up an estimate and measure with an independent contractor. Made appointment, contractor came promptly, measured and gave bid for the job. From speaking to the Asst Manager, I learned not all contractors charge exactly the same way. The flooring I was looking to buy was not on sale and priced at $2.89sq ft, however, since they had plenty in stock, they were willing to reduce the price. They told me the lowest they had seen that flooring drop to when on sale was $1.99, and they offered to lower it to $2.29. Since I was not in a hurry, I waited for the end of year clearance and crossed my fingers. Now the flooring I was looking to purchase is back down to $1.99, so I'm ready to purchase and get this done :)

They sent us the wrong order and we had to send it back. They ended up not charging us the initial order because they messed up. There was a slow down because of the delivery system that they used.
