The window locked and worked well before we broke the outside glass pane.Called Lightning to fix it. Now the window does even go all the over and forget about locking it. I have called twice with no response. This was our fault because we didn’t stand there or check it out till later after they had left.I called and Jett said maybe it was broke and the lock didn’t work, to which I replied everything worked just we broke the window. His response was I will talk to my guys and get back to you.If you just look at the window from the outside you will see it is too large and they measured it!To this day I heard nothing from this company after leaving messages.Be careful of this company to do satisfactory work!!

The window was fixed.

The window looks terrible. The seal between the glass and the window frame is noticeable and very sloppy. I complained, so they came out to fix it. It doesn't look any better. I definitely will not use them again and do not recommend them.

.The repairman was on time and replaced the windows without any problems. We had one window that would not stay up when opened and he adjusted that for us as well. The only recommendation we would make, would be to give a written estimate & invoice. We did e-mail Lightning Glass requesting a written invoice and they e-mailed us back the next day with an invoice.

Replaced three glass double pane windows that were broken in a rental unit. They had to custom make the glass. Prompt service. Good communication. Showed up on time for appointment. VERY GOOD price...nearly half that of a local competitor. Would use again.

Lightning did deliver the window to our unit within the 2-3 week time-frame promised by management. However, on the day of installation, their 2-man team and the 3 other men that showed up later to help them left us with a mess that 5 days later we are still cleaning up! We had fully followed their instructions on how to prepare the room, and they told us that we didn't have to move the bed nor move anything else in the room except those items that were directly in front of the window. We had moved everything from the window area except the keyboard, leaving just 2 sheets covering the bed. While we appreciated the installers scooting our keyboard from their work area as they had previously agreed to do, they did nothing else to minimize potential debris (such as placing tarps over furniture or flooring). Apparently our multi-pane window was difficult to remove and even with a blow-torch, they had trouble removing the seals holding the panes in place. Multiple panes shattered in the bedroom and some large pieces even fell outside. Even after glass started shattering, little was done to minimize the debris field. Once I heard the first pane shatter, I gave them garbage bags and after the bags broke, they brought up a large trashcan. Still, they had to carry additional large chunks of glass out the apartment by hand.There was so much glass flying in that small bedroom that I asked several times about how and who was going to clean up. I was told that we needed to shake out linens and vacuum with a beater-brush vacuum to get the very shattered glass out of the carpeting. They eventually used their shop-vac before they left, and the room from the outside looked o.k as they finally departed. However, once they left and I entered the room there was sizable glass chunks everywhere. The top sheet of the bed glistened with glass and the carpeting was covered in it. I hand-picked glass off all the furniture. Glass has since been found the 2 adjacent rooms and after hours of vacuuming this small bedroom (with a Dyson!) we still can't get all the glass out, and even 5 days later are still finding glass. We threw away the bedding because there was glass embedded in the top 2 sheets. I complained to the apartment manager the next morning and she had the owner of Lightning come see me that day. He told me I just needed to shake out the linens and wash them, and revacuum the carpet. We would never jeopardize the washing machine with that much glass, and would not add to the outside debris (where people and animals walk) by "shaking the glass out of the linens." He did not apologize AT ALL for our inconvenience nor offer any reason why they failed to mitigate our damages (which could have been prevented with a $10 tarp or resolved with an $11 shop-vac brush attachment). He did not offer to reimburse us for the 2 sheets we had to throw away nor did he offer to professionally clean the glass debris from the bedroom. There is still glass embedded in the carpet and we still find small chunks. While we appreciate having a window without holes and an obviously warmer room, we dare not walk barefoot in this bedroom again! This debris isn't just dirt that won't cause harm, it is glass that cuts, and I have the the scars to prove it. Ridiculous!
