Legacy Roofing

Overall I would call his demeanor, frazzled. He seemed to have lots of jobs going and I feel maybe he was spread a little thin. There were a couple show stoppers for me. First and probably foremost, he had asked "how well do you know your neighbors?" As you might guess, he replaced their roof some 5 months back (from shingles to metal). I did recall my neighbor indicating that he wasn't pleased with that company and wouldn't hire them again. I called him back and he gave me some of the details and one issue was that RJ Roofing had so many jobs that they would pull their crew off his house to work somewhere else for days on end. Which matched up with my initial impressions before I spoke with him. Secondly, the tile we're putting up, though plastic, is a high end material (we're talking $255/Square - which is in line with clay tiles. He effectively was trying to talk me out of Eave Starters (which protect from birds nesting) and Ridge Closures (which do the same, but on the ridge). We have birds (as I told him). Heck, we feed them and have had them next in areas I thought no bird would consider. He continued to suggest that it wasn't needed and that he lives in the same area and doesn't have any problems. In my eyes, cutting corners before we've even started. He talked about the expense and time it would take to install said guards. Anyway, we elected to start looking else where based on the two above issues.

They took too long to come out and give us the quote and they even took longer to come out and start the work. They didn t clean up very well when they were finished wither as there were loose shingles left on the ground. Next time, I am going to look for another company to do the work for me.
