Description of Work: They repaired a charm bracelet and replaced a watch battery. The service was good but very expensive. We wanted an estimate to check the bracelets for wear. They charged by the hour to check it. We declined! We went to Luisa Graff Jewelers on Nevada Ave. They checked for wear for free and repaired one charm. We will go back there.

 + -1 moreRobin explained the entire design process to me and consulted me at every new step. First we looked at rings in the store to find a style I liked. We also discussed the material to be used for the band and the relative advantages/disadvantages of each.We then discussed the gems to be used (4 children and 2 grand children)...and Robin pointed out the advantages/disadvantages of using real or synthetic gems. Step 2 was to review pencil drawings of ring designs and decide exactly how I wanted the ring to look. Step 3 was to look at several gems to choose the color and shape I wanted. Step 4 included trying on a wax mock up of the ring so I could visualize how it would look on my hand. When I finally got my ring I was thrilled!! It is a gorgeous piece that I will proudly show off! I was able to help build my ring from the bottom up. I never felt pressured to choose an option I wouldn't be happy with, and always felt like I had the information I needed to make a good choice.
Description of Work: I was divorced in '96 and always intended to transform my wedding rings into an heirloom piece that I could pass on to one of my daughters. After much thought and research I decided to go to Johannes Hunter to commission a mother's/grand mother's ring. I wanted to use as much of the gold from my engagement ring and wedding band as possible...and also use the diamond (lucky for me one of my daughters was born in April!). I also wanted a "one of a kind" piece that would stand out as unique, but would stand the test of time as it gets passed on from generation to generation.

So i finally checked out reviews on Angies List and came across Johannes-Hunter and took a chance based on the two reviews and sent an email off. Robin Johannes took the time to respond, answered my questoins and invited me to come in to the store. Work was done as promised, with on one question left. They helped me restring some of my mom's discarded loose pearls, and the strand came out beautifully! What a NEW treasured memory now that she has passed... The repair the jeweler did on a rope chain was fantastic. Can't wait to try them again for other work as I can afford it. Thanks again, Robin, Brian and staff!!!

 + -1 moreI saw a pair of earrings that Linda Hunter had special ordered for herself. She hadn't even inventoried them. When she couldn't get another pair, just like them, she sold me hers....now that is way beyond great customer service.
Description of Work: You must see the new store at 5182 North Nevada Ave Suite 100 . It is fabulous and as always so is the service. The Johannes Hunter team can not be beat. From a small to a large purchase, the customer service, quality and price are exceptional. They never try to oversell. Give them your price range and they will help make your dream piece a reality. They are excellent on repairs, too. My pearl bracelet looks as good as the day I bought it.

Description of Work: Why would you go anywhere else! They are the best. One might have trepidation walking into such an upscale store, but go right in. The staff is warm and friendly and you are made to feel right at home. They listen to your wants and needs. Never do they try to oversell. They have quality merchandise or can design just the right piece for you. They stand behind every sale and repair. Customer service extraordinaire! They also keep a list of the items I like so my husband can surprise me on birthdays and special occasions. I keep going back to see what new designs they have and just to say Hi. Every time I go in they clean and check my rings. It is always customer WOW. Marla
