I was really disappointed in their customer's service and it was difficult working with them, their crew did a great job but the guy who runs the thing he was really hard to reach and he was hard to work with. It just seem like it was really hard to get the guy to respond to our questions, call us back when we had problems. He made me after a while it just kind of made me feel my job didn't matter like it was too small to be bothered with whenever I had problems I felt like it took forever to get a response from him and I almost felt like he was talking down to me.

We are extremely pleased with the project Fredell Enterprises just completed for us. Jon Walsh, the landscape architect, helped us with the design; he designed a moss-rock retaining wall, capped with flagstone, enclosing a bed filled with decorative rock and boulders. The retaining wall has curves in it, making for exacting rock work. The entire project turned out so well -- even better than we had hoped. The three men on the crew were extremely professional and pleasant, happy to fulfill special requests, and left the job site very clean at the end of each day. We're now looking forward to our next project with Fredell!

nothing happened

The work is complete except for the plants which will be planted in May. FANTASTIC. I have worked with other landscapers who I would give a D rating but charged just as much as Fredell. I came up with a price in my head at what I thought it would cost to do the work and was shocked that this was the price they quoted. I assumed they would estimate much more being that they have exceptional qualifications. Jon, the landscape architect, was very responsive to all my questions, emailing me back the same day. He quickly understood our vision for the yard, our aesthetics, and provided a plan with exactly what we needed. Whenever I came up with a problem, Jon was quick to figure out a solution: our yard is shady and dry in Rockrimmon, but the way the soil drains causes one area to be wet in the winter. So our xeriscape plants in that area die from the soaking in the spring. Jon came up with the perfect solution of how to shape the yard so that the water drains in a way that does not soak the plants. I also like that the staff are full time employees of Fredell. The foreman who performed the yard work has been with Fredell for 20 years and was as nice as could be. He took the same care working in our yard as if it was his own. He even let me drive the bobcat! These are just all nice guys who take pride in their work. They gave honest answers to my questions rather than trying to sell me on something that would not fit my needs. Our biggest priority is a low maintenance yard that is also a low fire hazard. There are many features that appeal to both my husband and I, but when we asked about them, Jon gave honest answers about the amount of time those features would require (water features). I could not be happier with Freddell and can hardly wait to see the plants in my yard. Their plants come with a warranty, and BTW, Jon selected a wide assortment (all shrubs) of various shades of green and even purple, with different textures. I looked them all up on the web, and there is no way I would have had the knowledge to select these.

Fredells sent out two friendly and skilled men to work on our job. They worked hard and completed the job in a timely manner. They pulled out existing bushes and trees and created/formed a rock wall about 1-3 feet high in the front of our home, next to our front porch. They filled the space with planting soil so that it would be ready for us to put in the flowers and plants of our choice.

After interviewing several landscaping compaines we contracted Fredell to landscape the side of of our house that is also a drainage (water run-off). Fredell designed and installed functional and asthetically pleasing landscaping that fits our theme. Easy to work with. Recommend!

Lost interest when I was referred to another telephone number

The work is almost finished but we are satisfied so far. They came when they said they would. They responded quickly to our call. They came out and gave us an estimate and set a date for the work to begin. And it began on that date. We are just waiting for them to come back and check if it is finished and then we will pay them. They were very professional. I have no complaints about them. The workers were very unobtrusive. They worked very hard when they were here. Their price was a little costly but they were very good.

They Xeriscaped, they brought in deciduous plants that reduce water usage.They did a great job. They reduced my maintenance and watering requirements.

I chose this compnay because they had won Best Landscape Awards at Parade of Homes. I thought they must do quality work. It does look good in the beginnig, but how long does that last? Mine lasted about a year. They built the retaining walls without any foundation, soil compaction or drainage. When I asked them about putting in a foundation they told me they don't do that. The next summer they began to shift and they leveled them back out without fixing the underlying problem. Again they shifted and settled. They tried to fix them agin and put in a drain, but they put the drain in the wrong place and and at the top of the wall. . Since then ,they've told me they don't want to do anything for me. All the walls are tipping out and unsightly. One wall settled so much that it cracked my sidewalk. The stairs are loose and dangerous. Now I have to have them completely redone.

Fredell brought in their landscape designer who worked with us. Once the plan was decided their crew came in and worked quickly and efficiently, cleaning up as they went. We were never inconvenienced. They were there every day all day until the job was done. We were delighted with the results. Our area was transformed into a "park like" setting with winding paths, very natural and beautiful. The plants were staged beautifully in color and time of blooming. Another division of Fredell "Colorado Outdoor Living" created our outdoor kitchen at the same time which will be reported on separately.
