Description of Work: Phil Brodhagen of El Paso Green Energies has gone above and beyond my expectations. When I first contacted solar contractors, he was the only one who actually came out and surveyed my property. The others, who wanted $65,000, said they would do a search of a Google map for my property. Phil spent several hours on my roof and determining which angles would be best for the solar panels. He also very patiently and thoroughly answered all of my questions. I ended up with a 12.2 kw system or 48 solar panels. My house has all electric baseboard heat. He also monitors my system on the Internet and several times he was aware of a problem before I knew about it. When the Dish Satellite installer connected the ground wire to the solar panels instead of the ground pipe, he came out and got everything reconnected correctly. I have recommended him to several of my friends, and they have been please with his work also. I highly recommend him!

+ -1 moreThe overall experience was great! The owner/installer was very thorough with his information, and was willing to answer any and all questions we had. He walked us through the whole process (considering we didn't know much about a new house, let alone a solar thermal system!) The time frame that the whole process took was definitely reasonable, since we signed our contract near the end of May and the entire system was installed in the beginning of June. Since the cost was one of our main issues, we were given a lot of information about the different rebates available, how to apply for them, etc. Overall, it was a great first experience with a renewable energy improvement, and we will definitely be looking into additional options in the future. We would highly recommend this company - not only are they a local company, but they will go the extra mile for you!
Description of Work: My husband and I had just bought a house that was built in the 1970's, and were looking to add some energy-efficient improvements. We contacted El Paso Green Energies, and had a wonderful experience getting information and a quote on the different options we could do to the house. We decided to go with the Solar Thermal system, with a total cost of about $9,000. The owner was very thorough in explaining the entire process, what he would need to do to the house (install the roof mounts, the solar panel, adding the expansion tank, etc.). He also described the process of getting the system inspected at different intervals, the different rebate options available and how to apply for them. We finalized our quote near the end of May, and the installer was able to start by the beginning of June. True to his word, it only took a couple days to install the system and everything looked great! We were kept informed of the inspections and the status of the system. Once it was all said and done, the installer took the time to explain and show my husband the work that he did (our water heater is in the crawl space, so he showed us what he did and the system installed).
