Robert does excellent work! He is punctual, professional and well-priced. We need to have our deck renewed every two years due to it’s southern exposure and Colorado weather. Very highly recommend!

Robert is a miracle worker. He replaced three nasty boards and spent several days, in the hot sun, power sanding the old decks down to bare wood. He applied a high quality oil-based stain to the horizontal surfaces and painted the vertical surfaces the same color as the house trim. The decks have never looked better.

Robert refinished our deck in July 2012. After one year the deck look faded. I called Robert and he came out to inspect. He advised that he had never seen a deck wear that fast and it must have been the stain and the type of wood we had. He came back out, matched the stain and refinished the entire deck as well as powerwashed it. Robert Baxter stands by his work and did a wonderful job at no additional cost to us. We will continue to use him in the futer and would highly recommend him as his work was awesome. Next time we need a restain, we will call Deck Refinishers.

We called Mr. Robert Baxter, owner of the company, because of a referral from a previous customer. He came over and gave us a firm estimate on fixing a few stair steps that were broken and the rest of which were weathered and water-damaged. We also showed him two places where the deck and part of the roof were sagging slightly due to age and he said he could take care of that too. After discussing the problems we decided that the best approach to replace the entire stair assembly, railings and supports rather than just replacing a few parts. We also asked what it would cost to go ahead and refinish the entire deck as long as were we doing other work, and he gave us a written estimate to do that as well as taking care of the other items. We accepted the contract price. He came out and began work on the agreed-upon date. Upon removing the old steps he discovered some bad water damage to the siding behind the step supports, and had to match, obtain and replace that piece before continuing the rest of that portion of the repairs. He color-matched and repainted the replaced siding, repaired the sagging roof and deck supports, fitted and replaced all the top rails on the deck and front porch and worked with us to pick what color stains we wanted. He then sanded, power-washed and stained the deck, and completed the job by staining the top rails and support posts in complementary colors, a considerable improvement over what the original dark-brown color scheme was. Mr. Baxter is a very professional, friendly and accommodating person, and we were very pleased with the results and the time required to time to complete the job. He inspected the work with us and explained several things we talked about, and answered any other questions we had. We'd most certainly recommend him and his company to anybody who needs this type of work done well, quickly and for a reasonable price, and would also urge you to contact him with jobs other than deck refinishing and repair since his company name includes “handyman” and we’re sure he can probably do the stuff around your house that you can’t (or won’t?). (He is also a very dog-friendly person and doesn’t mind having them try to help out.)
