Horrible- the tech was lazy. I have home service with Comcast that I can not even use as I do not have a working phone jack. He told me simply to plug my phone in to the router. I told him that wouldn't work as the router was in my baby's room. He shrugged and put a phone jack box in the kitchen but it didn't work. I asked him to check it before he left and he said it should work. It didn't. I currently pay for a home phone service that I can not even use. Most of the cords are set up to come in through the window her room as well. During the winter I have to put tape around it. I've called multiple times on it but since they are a monopoly here they don't care. Each time I have called it has cost me $175 for bad service

It was fine. I had an issue at the very beginning with the installation being delayed but they also had other issues so that was controlled and since that, I never had any issues. I know they have got quality and negative reviews for what I’ve read but they’ve been fine with me so far.

When they arrived (Promptly), the house was littered with many "Unpacked-Boxes", since we had just moved in! They did not grumble about having to move things to do their work. Instead they were extremely understanding, even though ours' was a difficult installation! The "Lead Installer", Mike, was especially helpful, explaining all the options for running the cable and calling for additional help when the transmission signals were found to be very low at our location. That problem was fixed to everybody's satisfaction quickly, as the install continued. "Mike" was the very-last one to leave, after setting-up both TV's, the Telephone and the Internet! We are very Happy with the level of Service provided and the end result! The "Only Negative" falls squarely on the Company's Shoulders! Due to shortages of printed materials, we were not provided with any information on Channel Selections, Programming or Information on available extra features!

Description of Work: I purchased internet and cable service with a self-install package to use with a modem I already owned, then later upgraded to a more inclusive cable package and added phone service, also with a self-install package. I had to lease or buy a different modem in order to get phone service. I chose to buy the modem. Self-install instructions are not at all clear for someone who has their own modem, and I needed to call for technical support. Once up, I am happy with the internet and phone service, and am truly impressed with how much vapid, shallow programming is available On Demand. I guess that's not all Comcast's fault, but I can't afford premium channels, and the pricing is up to them.

Having troubles with my internet service (mainly with video streaming) I was talked into upgrading my internet. The problem was that I was not getting what I paid for. Tests on my service (even when the technician came to visit) proved this to be the case. I asked what could be done and was told that it must just be a busy internet usage time (internet traffic was affecting my service). They did not provide me with any compensation for loss of internet (interruption/ traffic problems). I watched the upload/download rates over time and found that there was no significant change. Seems to me that this is a Comcast problem that needs to be resolved but is carried by their customers to increase profits. On top of paying more for advertised service they could not provide, they charge you a whole long list of fees that seem to double your bill. One time in the years of my service, I got a notice that I was behind on my payments. This was because they increased my monthly fee (without notifying me) so my bill payment wasn't covering what I owed. Two days after receiving a notice in the mail, they disconnected my service. I couldn't go online to check my bill pay or even call them to discuss. When I did, they were unapologetic, unsympathetic, and very rude. I paid the balance over the phone and tried to explain that I had already processed a bill payment to cover the amount remaining (which I later canceled) as two days to pay was hardly enough time to send in payment. They still charged me a reconnect fee. To give you an idea, my prorated bill from Jan 11-22 (when service will end) is $103. When you call to cancel they offer you a great deal (my internet quick drops by $20 or more if you haggle). I also had troubles using their online account management website. They had my phone number associated with my previous address and I could never get assistance unless I called from my home phone (for security purposes). Which made it hard given their hours of operation (e.g. needed to call from work or take personal time to drive home and call from home). I have been a good, consist paying Comcast customer for about 5 years at two different residences. I feel I've been duped by Comcast. Unfortunately, my previous residence had limited service providers which made using Comcast and easy decision. Fortunately for me now, there are several comparable (and well rated) providers out there to chose from. I look forward to actually getting what i pay for with no hidden fees.
Description of Work: Customer for 5+ years. Automatic payments set up monthly. started with their double play deal (phone and internet). When I signed up I was supposed to get a gift card. I never got it. I got some excuse and decided not to continue the battle due to my lack of time/energy to do so. Upgraded my internet about a year or two ago after I began having problems with video streaming. I once had been able to have two different systems watching videos simultaneously in two separate locations in the house. Then one day, this became a problem. I upgraded after hearing promises from the representative that this would definitely fix that. My overall rating is based on years of experience with Comcast. The amount of money I spent on service with this company reflects the last paid amount and does not include the prorated amount of $103 for the 11 days of service in January (I will pay in person when I manually go to return the rented modem). The service date used is today's date as this service was performed over a period of time. Given I cannot regain lost money and time poured into poor service, I feel I can warn others to do their research and take precaution when considering service from this company. Please note that this review is not a reflection of this specific location (union) but a review of my service of xfinity/ comcast in general.

Over the years Comcast has been fairly reliable service. My main issue is trying to get someone who understands english after hours when there is an outage. Thankfully the service is pretty stable so I do not have this issue often. The only other downside to having bundled all services, is when you are experiencing difficulties, you have to call from your cell as the home phone is usually down too.

Back in my previous home, I never had any issues. In my new home I've had problems with the internet dropping. It has been very unreliable in the past, but lately it's been pretty consistent.

Monte Nott the salesman was very unprofessional and gave absolutely no service after the sale, because of him I cancelled ComCast and went to Direct TV (a lot better). To make matters worse Monte Nott picked up my equiptment and NEVER turned it in and I got a bill for $812.00. DO NOT DEAL WITH MONTE NOTT OR COMCAST, IF YOU DO BE READY TO GET SCREWED!!!!!
