It went just great. Got a great job of home air quality evaluation and air duct cleaning at a great price. CCAS did an excellent job of assessing the air quality in my 2-story townhouse and then taking steps to improve it. The process began with testing for carbon monoxide and radon gases - we passed. Then testing for particles in the air representative of HVOCs, bacteria, mold and others - again we passed. Then a test was run to assess the "dirtiness" of the HVAC ducts - we failed. This was interesting to observe in that a camera was used to view the inside of the ducts. I could see the need for cleaning the ducts. Next step was to clean the ducts which took a while. Sterling used some of the latest technology equipment to do this cleaning, and again it was most interesting to observe. All the ducts and vents got cleaned including the return ducts, and also sprayed with some kind of antibacterial solution. In my case, the HVAC unit was inspected and cleaned as well as checked for natural gas leaks. Freon leak checks were run on the inside and outside AC unit. The coils on the outside unit were cleaned to optimize cooling efficiency. Again in my case, I enlisted CCAS to clean the dryer vent which they did. Again some interesting technology used for this purpose which left Sterling covered in dust. Most interesting how it was done - cleaned from the outside vent. I got a great job at what I consider a very good price. If you are concerned about the air quality in your home, give CCAS a call and let them assess it, and improve it if needed. The service of assessing first then cleaning is a really nice benefit not offered my most air cleaning companies.
