I write this to warn Colorado homeowners!!! Contractor Owner Jason Mc Swane CAT-X Restoration Company of Denver 6955 S Jason Street Denver 80223 720-362-0984 My home has been raped and scavenged, by a fire restoration company / CAT-X Restoration of Denver for home restoration / many other reviewers had same nightmare experience we did ? costing us a great deal of money and legal fees. DO NOT USE!! Ask your insurance company to use THEIR COMPANY so you are covered for damages and a guarantee of services is upheld ? do not choose outside of their recommendation!!! He allows non- employees to come into your home and "hang out", and that means your home is open to thieves. We did not lose our home to the fire, as it was a contained three room electrical fire, in the walls from basement to second floor and could have been easily cleaned up with- in weeks ? but the CAT-X Restoration Company, moved in right away ? ?Promises were made? by owner Jason Mc Swane - to wrap everything up carefully, pack all carefully, protecting all of our family memories and treasures of life times of family items that you cannot put a price on ? but what they did was push and pile and shove our things together and I came in a week after to find my father?s funeral veteran?s flag under a pile of things disrespectfully and my husband?s Great Aunt?s China pieces still sitting on our table in the mist of the workers jackets and food cups, napkins and food bags, all piled around and on top of them, with no concern of being careful or respect of our possessions, also a large living room $600 clock (that got chipped) was on the floor, leaning against the kitchen counters with tools and such all-around it. I have many, many, photos of how our furniture and home was treated so horribly wrong and poorly. Our home has been legally raped by this company ? every room has been turned upside down and destroyed, from the bad paint job and drywall horrors, to the piling of our furniture, wood to wood, no protection coverings, damaging every piece we have, broken lamps and scratches on kitchen counters from floor work they didn?t repair after damaging. When he was to return items and most all invoices had been paid for in GOOD FAITH to CAT-X, over 24 thousand, he refused to returned our property, continually THREATENED US, he would keep the rest and sue us and put a lein on our house, if we didn?t give him another check each time he came with a few things ? been three weeks and still things haven?t been returned ? silver pieces, furniture pieces, a toddler mattress from an undamaged room, children?s toys, toy bins, children?s books, many children?s items are gone completely now, though I have photos proving we had them prior, Disney CDs, camera, and other items that should not have been taken from the containers but they did ? One silver tray came back ? one bench and one cookbook stand ? proving he knew they had items they should not have taken. CAT-X also used OUR brooms and ladders and tools without our permission and put on their truck and kept till they knew we are now working with lawyers and got SOME BACK but damaged beyond usable. Washed out paint equipment in our sinks and we have had to repair those too. The paint job: left over two inches from edges not painted, left wood floor stain on all baseboard, all walls, and I mean ALL WALLS have brush strokes on them and left places not covered at all, drywall is lumpy and not sanded and has blobs of whatever dripping down walls then painted over. The ceilings that he re-did have large dents in them, long scraper marks ? just bad all around bad. Did not clean the kitchen at all, and did not clean the most smoke filled area, the garage ? didn?t do anything to clean the garage, NOTHING, though billed us for doing it ? have photos. Their restoration or replacement of furniture and boxes from containers meant to pile everything into rooms haphazardly. Boxes loaded haphazardly, See photos !! Another contractor has quoted us approx.. $9000 to re-pair the damages to our home CAT-X did more damage than was done by the fire- Recommend take entire photos of your home closets and in every cupboard, for proof of what was in your home and keep these records up to date annually for your protection. But this is my warning to you ? DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. Read contract well ? states they do not guarantee back to before damaged condition!!!!! - do not leave without photos or a video or everything and every closet and garage ? EVERYTHING requires proof or you lose!!! Use your insurance recommended company and you will be covered better and guaranteed the services through insurance - go on your own and you are on your own and use this company - means ripped off royally.

Living next to the Arkansas River, I had some major flooding in September of this year. I called a few different companies, but Jason impressed me the most. He was here and setting up fans and dehumidifiers immediately in my crawlspace. He and his helpers were here 5 times in 3 weeks doing various steps in removing moisture and mud from my crawlspace and garage and installing high quality vapor barrier in the crawlspace. They finished up today and did a fantastic job! It was a pleasure to work with a knowledgeable and honest person. I will hire them again if the need arises.
