We are currently living in a home built by Briese Enterprises. We moved in last August (2013), so we have been in the home for almost a year. A couple of caveats: 1. This was our first experience building a home. 2. We talked to a number of different builders about building our home. The bottom line for choosing Tim & Nicole Briese is we trust them, and they are easy to work with. That said, I have created a list below for why we went with them vice another builder. * They have the reputation for being HONEST and fair. Both Tim and Nicole have integrity and we trust them. They did not take advantage of us. * They have a reputation for being very easy to work with. We absolutely found this to be true. Both were extremely professional and a pleasure to do business with. * They build a beautiful home. We toured one of their homes he recently built and it WAS beautiful. However, after we toured their home, I contacted the home owners via phone and email…basically interviewing them about Tim & Nicole. * They ONLY had positive things to say about them…no negative, except for the fact that they are on the quiet side and sometimes you have to push them a little to get their opinion, ie "How do you feel about this idea?" This isn't always the case, but I made sure I ask them their opinion on changes I was recommending. We were not disappointed with their input, which was spot on. * Tim Briese has been building custom homes in the Monument area for over 25 years. * Tim doesn't have a fancy office and he partners with his daughter Nicole (she works with you on the materials and helps you choose tile, granite, etc., if you are fortunate to purchase one of their homes during the building process). This didn't bother us at all…in fact, it was a positive to us because this equates directly to a lower cost to build a home. * We heard from a number of people that Tim Briese is hard to beat when it comes to building a home for the dollar. We found this to be true based on the other estimates we received. * We liked the way they thought about building a home. We like an open floor plan style home and this is one of their specialties. * They also have a knack for laying out a home on a lot…this was important to us because we do have a view of the mountains. * Tim is a hands-on builder, meaning he spends a lot of time at the building site keeping an eye on the contractors, and he ensures the building site isn’t littered with lots of garbage. A very nice bonus. * They understand that there will be changes, even after the building starts, depending on when you enter the process. They are very willing to work with you to modify the plans to make sure you are happy (obviously, if it is not too late to make the change and it is within reason). * He is extremely efficient (words from others and us). He can build a home in roughly four months because he has a committed group of contractors that support him. Other estimates we received were 6-8 months from breaking ground to turnkey. * They don't care if you are on the building sight during construction…some builders do care. * We could work with them directly without using a realtor, which saved us money. You would think by this review that I work for him, but that is not the case. When someone treats us well and provides us with a quality product, I want to support them by writing a positive endorsement. Both Tim and Nicole deserve this review and you will not be disappointed if you are fortunate enough to buy a home from them. My advice – do your research, walk through lots of homes and if you have the opportunity to buy a Briese home consider yourself blessed!
