About 3 years ago, Aspen Country Fencing fenced the back of our 2 acre lot. They did a great job! With rains and settling, one of our gates wasn't working well. We saw their trucks on our street doing another neighbors fence and we had them look at our gate. With a modification, they fixed our gate with no charge! I would definitely recommend this company for your fencing needs!

I hired this company twice. First time was in September 2016 to put in 5 fence posts for a fence I was completing. The person that came and gave me the estimate as well as the crew were very professional and easy to work with. They did a great job cleaning up after themselves. I paid $450 for the work which included augering the holes, cementing in the holes and placing, aligning the fence. Aspen worked me into their schedule and the work was completed within 1 week of estimate. The second time I hired them (Feb 2017) was to replace 2, 8 ft sections of fence as well as augering 5 fence posts and straightening 3, 8 ft sections of fence, damage due to a wind storm. Again very professional, courteous and work was completed within 2 weeks of estimate, which was quite fast due to the amount of damage due to wind in Colorado Springs, I called them a week after the storm, and they were booked solid but worked me into their schedule. I received other bids of which both was lower but not by much. I felt the professionalism and ease of working with this company was worth the difference. As an aside my neighbor hired one of the other companies and had problems in timeliness and cleanup. I had no problems with Aspen in the cleaning up of the area. I paid $1400 for this job.

The work performed was outstanding; the men were punctual, courteous and professional. They know what they are doing...excellent results. Very,very happy. Strongly recommend and would call them in the future without any reservation. Chris, one of the managers, was fantastic; professional, courteous and thorough. He is great to work with and someone I would call if needed for any future projects.

Really nice guy! Our gate was slouching due to the way it was built. He gave me some recommendations for improvements I could make myself for a lot less.

Chris will spoil you for any other contractor ever. He treats his customers like gold. I can't say enough good things about both Chris & his crew. Each crew member spoke English, took pride in their work, kept me informed on the job site (to the point that when the lead guy was off for a day, the second in command made sure to introduce himself & let me know he was in charge that day), they genuinely wanted to help...with anything! There were often 4-5 contractors on the job at one time & his crew worked well with all of them (including a landscape crew) & didn't hesitate to 'chip in' if it seemed like someone needed a bit of help, even if they weren't on the fence crew. Beyond all that, they were pleasant, smiling, punctual, communicative & true professionals. Chris is so quality oriented, that his response to anything is immediate, even when you tell him he can take his time. Even when he tells you it will be a few days, chances are he'll do it the next day :-) He noticed something he didn't like about a gate & he took it back to the shop to re-do it, even though it was something we never would have noticed. This is our fourth time having a privacy fence built, most of them involving a lot of linear SF & this one looks the best of all of them. I wish the HOA wasn't going to make us paint it an ugly brown. You cannot go wrong with Aspen Fence, you'll receive old-fashioned service of the type when contractors actually respected & cared about their customers. Chris & his staff will do what they say, will do it in a timely fashion & will stand behind it. He's a perfectionist, who treats you the way he wants to be treated. The only bad part is that you'll be spoiled & never want to work with another contractor after experiencing the genuine customer care given by Chris & his team. He even takes credit cards!

After getting multiple quotes for a replacement for our fence, we decided to go with Aspen Country Fence, and I am so glad we did! Chris was very friendly and explained all options and charges very well. He was very communicative throughout the whole process. They were booked out several weeks, but were able to get our job in earlier due to another customer's request for a later date. They completed our fence in 2 days - one for tear-down and post-setting, the other for putting up the fence and haul-away. We ended up with a beautiful, 6" wood privacy fence with metal posts (which were covered by an additional piece of wood, resulting in a uniform look), 2 gates, and very happy customers! I would definitely recommend Chris and Aspen Country Fence to anyone who has fence repair/replacement needs! Excellent job! Thank you!

Although we had to wait about two months to get on the calendar, it was worth it. Chris gave me a quick and accurate estimate, called the day before the crew was to show up. They were friendly and very efficient. The old fence was removed completely and the posts were wet within a few hours. They returned the next day and attached the pickets. The job site was immaculate. The cost matched the estimate. Chris worked with the neighbor to get his half of the payment and then got my payment at a time that was convenient for me. I highly recommend their work!

The workmanship was superb. Posts sunk 2 ft down into poured concrete, tops cut diagonally for preservation. The cedar is gorgeous and they put 2x4 wire fencing around the whole thing. All the rails were nailed and further reinforced with lag bolts. This fence will be here for a LONG time. Chris was wonderful to work with and very responsive. I asked for quotes from a couple of other companies in the area and most of them couldn't be bothered to answer my questions or show me different options - it's like they didn't care about having my business at all. Chris came out to give a quote within a couple days of my first contact with him. He always responded right away to emails and answered every single question I had. He also included a lien waiver at the end of the project which is the mark of a true professional with solid ethics. In addition, they took care of the "know before you dig" part of the project and that was unexpected but really nice to have taken care of. His team of builders were great - three younger guys - they had super friendly dispositions and worked really hard. I'm grateful to them all. Aspen Fencing are true professionals and I honestly can't recommend them enough. If you're going to spend money on a fence, you may as well be getting one that you can trust to last!

They were not the cheapest company but "you get what you pay for". They did an outstanding job! Extremely happy!

Removed 30 year old fencing. Installed new fencing with metal posts and three gates.

The team arrived on-time. Removed the old fence. Dug holes and set posts. Installed fence and restore rocks around the yard. The crew made sure everything was cleaned up and restored to the position when they arrived. The crew was friendly, polite, experienced and professional. We did have to wait about 6 weeks to get on to their schedule, but everything went perfectly. The staff was friendly, punctual, efficient and professional and they cleaned up everything after they were done. I was totally satisfied with the work and would definitely recommend them. Our fence looks great!

The powder-coated metal custom gate into my backyard had widely-spaced bars and no lock. As a result, it was vulnerable to both human intruders and garden-destroying rabbits. I asked Chris at Aspen Fence to take a look, and he made suggestions about installing a working knob and deadbolt as well as welding a decorative overlay onto the existing bars to make the gate secure against both humans and critters. The finished gate looks extraordinarily good. Expanded-metal grating (heavy duty) was welded to the original gate and was powder coated to EXACTLY match the original gate. The lock works beautifully and is now as secure as a backyard gate can be. The result is better than I envisioned without having to install an entirely new gate. I couldn't be happier with the work, and it was done for a very reasonable price considering the amount of thought and work involved.

Excellent communication. Chris Penchoff kept me informed about start date, arrival of materials, etc. Crew (Truett Carmichael, Mahtias Wright and Jessie Lehman) arrived on time, worked steady and were very respectful of our family and neighbors. They left the jobsite neat at the end of each day. One small issue arose concerning materials. Chris was quick to solve the problem. My wife and I are very satisfied with the quality and the service we received.

In April I selected three fence companies from Angie's List for estimates to take down my old fence and replace it with a new one, adding approximately 15 feet to replace some chain link fencing. Chris Penchoff from Aspen Country Fence was the first to give me an estimate and I knew from reading past reviews that it would probably be the highest bid. I asked why his company seemed to charge more than others for the same work and he, of course, indicated that his company would provide a premium product, including a stronger that average gate and finishing touches that included hiding the steel posts so that one would only see wood. I got two other estimates, both of which were lower in cost. But after giving it much consideration, I decided to let Aspen Country Fence do the job. They scheduled my project for June 9th and 10th. They showed up early on the 9th, explained what they would be doing that day and what would be completed the following day. Chris came with the workers and then explained that he was going on vacation and told me who would be the "in charge" worker. They tore down the old fence and then set the steel posts for the new fence. Because I have a dog that needs access to the back yard, they were able to attach some of the old chain link they took down in such a way that my dog would not be able to get out. I really appreciated that. The next day, the young men were back right on time to finish the project. They finished around noon and were off to their next job. After they left and I had time to do an inspection, I found a few minor things that I was concerned about. I knew the boss was on vacation so I didn't contact Chris until several weeks later. I sent an email indicating what I thought were problems and had an immediate response from him. This was on a Sunday and he was at my house the following day to check out my concerns and told me he would be back on Tuesday morning to resolve the problems. Although these were not major problems, the Company wanted to be sure I was happy with my fence and quickly resolved my concerns. Yes, Aspen Country Fence charges a little more than others but I experienced outstanding customer service, and there's a lot to be said for that. I will definitely use this company for additional fencing work in the future.

The fence was well-constructed to be long-lasting; the gate quality is very high. Pricing was competitive with other high-rated companies. Time was taken by the owner and crew to answer all questions and to properly address a couple small issues that occurred during construction. All calls and emails were answered promptly and thoroughly. The whole process from the quote to the final work went smoothly.

Following a bad windstorm, we contacted Aspen Country Fence based on favorable ratings on Angie's List. We made the first available appointment, which was a couple of weeks following the storm. Chris Penchoff came to the house and figured the estimate and explained the work that would be done, side and front fence, and deducting $125 for a senior discount. The work was scheduled, and a couple of days later they came out and put up a temporary chain-link fence to enclose the yard so our dog could go outside. On the installation date, the crew arrived at about 8 a.m. and finished the (beautiful) job in short order. We noticed a couple of boards that were a little too short, notified Chris and he had that discrepancy fixed pronto! We are 100% happy with this company and are happy to recommend them! When the back fence blows down, as it's bound to do, we know who to call!!

Chris came for an estimate the next day after I contacted him. Best of all was after he reviewed the work he offered and completed the work on the same visit. He explained the best way to make the repair and did the work quickly and prefessionally.

Bill was very resposive to my initial inquiry via the web and met me at my home for a free estimate right away. Unlike the other estimates I had where the person would just measure the areas in need and say "I'll get back to you," Bill took the time to explain the details and options. His estimate arrived within 24 hours and included a break down of all costs and a visual diagram. On the installation days, he and his crew were prompt, polite and professional. I would absolutely recommend this company to anyone.

The bid and final bill were the same. The fence was completed as promised and Bill was a real pleasure to deal with before, during and after. What an amazing job! My fence looks great and the gates are sturdy and nicely done. Dealt with owner, Chris Penchoff, who was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. He worked with me on cost saving options like disposing of dirt and old fencing myself, priced 2 different grades of pickets and gave me the cost for a z style gate instead of their normal premium gates if I wanted to downgrade to save money. Aspen's standard premium gates are lap jointed and connected with 4 screws at each corner and have 2 diagonal supports in oppposing corners, really nice. We had some challenges with in-swing gates I needed due to my landscaping and personal preferences and making the gate latches work correctly, but they made necessary adjustments on 2 of my 3 sets of gates to make it all work. Chris came out at the start of the job to communicate to the crew what I wanted done and at the end of the job to make sure everything was done to my satisfaction. They did teardown and 200 feet of new dog eared cedar fencing, posts, 2 sets of double gates and 1 single gate in 2 days. The pickets and posts are fantastic quality compared to anything in the home improvement stores. Everything is lined up perfectly, the gates work really nicely, the hardware and latches are good quality. I am extremely picky and asked the crew to replace a half dozen or so pickets I was not happy with and they did so with good grace and a smile. Chris himself changed out a latch and made adjustments to the gate to accomodate that type of latch (after the job was done and he had already been paid) once I understood a limitation in the setup that he pointed out to me himself. The price is at the higher end of the scale but the quality of the materials and workmanship is outstanding. The crew were all super nice guys from the area who have worked for the company for some time, speak English, are citizens and who know what they're doing; they're not day laborers or migrants hired off the street nor are they high school/college kids who don't know anything. Chris was easy to reach and responsive by phone, email, and text and stopped by to see the job site twice before work was started to clarify property lines after I had a survey done and gave me a very good price for additional fencing I wanted to add to the job after the initial estimate was made. He even caught a math error I made in adding the additional cost of the extra work where I overstated his bid by $125 and revised the invoice down to correct for it. I would recommend them to others and would have them do more work for me in a heartbeat. A+++.

Estimate provided on a timely basis and received e-mail contract. I was in no hurry and was able to wait for them to fit me in between big jobs. Gave 24 hours notice that they would be able to do the work the next day. Work completed in a couple of hours and old material hauled away.
