Artistic Tile

Description of Work: Steve Sanchez, owner of Artistic Tile for the Colorado Springs area,regrouted several small sections where the grout had cracked and separated due to a problem with the underlying Gypcrete. A+ work for all ratings.

Description of Work: I've known Steve for 25 years and he's done tile work for me at two different houses. His work is outstanding and I highly recommend him. His first job for me was adding tile to some kitchen counters. I bought the tile myself and he did the work. Years later I bought a fixer-upper in Manitou and had him do do all the tile work - this included two full baths (floor, shower, tub and counter tops), kitchen and dining room/entry way. The dining room and entry way are saltillo tile which presents its own problems since the tiles are not are the same size and aren't flat. Steve did a fantastic job on all of it. He is very artistic and makes excellent design suggestions. This last work he did for me this past June was to fix the saltillo tile in the dining room that has cracked/chipped due to the footer and slab settling at different rates. The cracking/chipping was not his fault. The original tiles were "one" with the base materials so they had to be removed with a jackhammer! Steve was able to find matching saltillo tiles and he used some new material that floats the tile between the different base levels. Luckily I had some of the original sealer left over from 15 years earlier and everything blended perfectly. Now you can't even tell that there was ever a problem - the entire room looks brand new!

Description of Work: Tile in front of bath tub after bathroom remodel. Tile kitchen island.

Description of Work: Repair and patch bathroom tile in one room, installed floor, heater, new tile, trim and grout in second bathroom. He recommended we use granite remnant rather than tile for the vanity, which we did and it turned out great. He lost money by doing so.
