Incredibly. I am the owner and general contractor. Scott and Ron worked with me to deliver plans that met the needs of my design and terrain and understood that I wasn't a general contractor for my day job, so they took the time to help me understand the needs of the project and the plans. They followed up to get what was needed to protect my family and my asset (new home) without going overboard. I would definitely work with them again.

Scott was a very professional and detail-oriented service provider. He was able to get the work done within 2 days of the request, and he maintained good communication with us throughout the process. He was also very flexible and understanding of the home purchase process and the scheduling and home access issues associated with such a purchase. He thoroughly described the process to us and methodically performed the assessment of the basement slab heave, informing us of the exterior and interior factors that contribute to a home's condition in an area where expansive soils are present. He delivered the report in the time frame promised.

Called back for follow up work after experiencing some new issues after purchase. They called back promptly and really worked with my schedule to come out and review some various problems I'm having. Mr Harvey did a very thorough inspection and precisely helped me understand what is causing the issues with my wall cracking and how the construction of my home based on 1974 techniques could be addressed. The good news is my foundation looks ok but I have some construction items to address. Thanks!! 6/15/13 Called and left Voicemail for Mr Harvey during real estate transaction. Needed a second opinion on foundation. This was time sensitive and noted in msg. After couple days without response I called back and then received callback saying could not help on short notice which is understandable but a faster callback after first call would of helped under the situation.

Scott Harvey was very professional and did a great job getting the required documentation to me. He is very busy, but he dropped what he was doing to meet me at the permit office to put his stamp and signature on one of the blueprints as I had brought the unstamped one with me. I would definitely recommend him to those needing structural engineering services.

It went great. I'd had another company out to look at things and they recommended a pricey solution, the physics of which seemed shaky to me. The Art of Engineering came out and it was really nice to be able to have him draw force diagrams, etc and come to the same conclusion that I did. He made me feel comfortable with the good and bad things about this 114 year old home's foundation and he gave lots of great suggestions for ways to make it better.

He showed up on time and took a look at the situation. He brought a special metal detector to help locate any rebar inside the wall which was very helpful. He wrote a letter to the city on the spot which gave approval for drilling the hole. He charged me a reasonable amount for the work. No problems.

Scott was awesome to work with. He called around for overage materials to help save us money during building. He came down to the building department to answer any questions the inspectors had during our approval process. Furthermore, he called us several times during building to make certain things were progressing smoothly and to see if we had any questions.

We designed our dream house with crude drawing which we took to Scott, who then made the design work. He had many excellent suggestions and ideas that helped us build and incredibly energy efficient house. Scott has a personal interest in conservation and alternative building so he was the perfect engineer to design the blueprints. The house took us six years (building on weekends) to complete. Scott was always available for our concerns and questions.

I obtained several estimates for preparing our addition plans. Scott was the fourth engineer I spoke with. After calling him he made an appointment to meet at our home. Both my wife and I were impressed by his demeanor and manor. He was very professional and took time explaining the process and answering all of our questions until he was sure we understood. Over the course of the project he has been available by phone and when necessary has come to the job site. He is not willing to let structural details be overlooked but is creative in dealing with cost. The plans passed through the city permit department quickly. Several of the framers and other trades people mentioned they were impressed with the details. Although we are a few months away from completion I can tell the new addition will blend in very well with the home.
