Would you like to be captured by snow-capped peaks, world renowned ski resorts and beautiful sunlit skies almost every day of the year? Consider a move to Colorado Springs. Your Colorado Springs Movers are eager to assist you in relocating here.
The move went fine until they ripped my flooring in my laundry room. They didn't tell me and now the corporate office only wamts to pay me $50 for the inconvenience. I can't even pay the labor to fix my flooring with that! The house was just restored after a fire so the floor was brand new! They didn't state the real price when offering a quote either. Will never use them again and will be posting as many bad reviews as I can until they rethink their terrible offer of a solution for my floor!
Description of Work: Small, simple move from storage to house. Everything was already boxed or saran wrapped amd labeled with room. Entire move took 2 hours. I paid around $600 after it was all said and done. However, my laundry room floor was ruined!

Disgraceful, negligent, and dishonest are the first words that come into my head when I think about this company. We hired this company after having an estimator named Peter come into our home. He told me that because of the size of the move, we’d receive 6 “all-stars” to move our furniture and all of our boxes. He estimated us at 9 hours (maximum), and he and I had a conversation about saving some money by having my family move the boxes the day before, so the movers would only do furniture. Peter agreed that it would then cut down on the number of hours, and would bring our total cost down. The day of the move, we were given one man that was injured and sat in the cab of the truck the whole day, and another man that did very little work. In fact, he made a mistake that cost the other remaining four working men about an hour of extra work. In total, it took them the whole estimated time to move only our furniture, because they had the amount of labor of four men. The amount of damage to our belongings and home is significant! They had very little regard, in my opinion, to wrap our furniture well, and we have a number of pieces of furniture that are no longer in good enough condition to put in our home, and a large hole in our wall. They drove up the grass at our old house that we are trying to sell, tearing it down to the dirt. The hardest part is that the “owner” – general manager named Rob, gave us very little sympathy, and told us they already gave us a discount. In total, the discount they gave us equals approximately 7% of our total. Doesn’t seem right to me that we received 2/3 of what we were promised. I have given them a number of opportunities to make things right with us, including sending some men to complete the job they didn’t finish. (I have a fridge in my living room.) But when I said to Rob “It sounds like you don’t care” – his response was “No, I really don’t.” We were promised the best in town, all-star movers, great care taken with our belongings, a staff that cared about quality. We received none of these things, and that is disgraceful, and dishonest.
Description of Work: Moving our furniture only.

Horribly! They did extensive damage to both the home I moved from and the newly built home I moved into. They did not completely move my furnishings and I had to hire another moving company to finish the move so I could close the sale of my former home on time. I also had to hire a repair man to repair the damage they did to my former home. Prior to the move by All My Sons, my fiancée and his son-in-law moved my large quilting machine and some of my sewing storage and fabric items and about 20% of the boxes. All My Sons were to move the rest. They were contracted to pack about 25% of my household items, and by the time they arrived there was only about 20% possibly less to pack. The packing was deplorable! They placed cans of spray paint in boxes with fabric and crafting items. They packed antique kerosene lamps in the bottom of a very large box with one piece of paper wrapped around them, and then piled fabric on top of them filling the box. This box was too big and heavy for me to pick up, but they packed these lamps in the bottom of the box. They put holes in two of my leather couches; put large gouges in my brand new wood floors along with many smaller scratches in the wood floor, and the put scrapes and gouges in the walls of my new home. I will have to have corner molding repaired in the arches of two of my room entries. They put gouges in the top of my breakfast table, broke legs off of my storage cabinets, scratched and chipped almost every piece of furniture I own. The damage is extensive and I doubt I will know the full extent of it until I'm fully unpacked. A note: so far, none of the items I packed myself have been damaged. I called the office and asked to speak to the owner, they said he was in Dallas working at a branch there. I asked to be put in contact with him. They said they couldn't do that. I did get the corporate phone number and called it asking to speak to this gentleman. I was told they could not forward my call or give me a number where I could reach him. I told them I want the owner to see what these people have done to my home and my furniture. They said they couldn't do that, and that I would need to deal with whoever was in the local office. Of which, I receive a different person "in charge" every time I call in. I have contested the charge with American Express, and am still trying to contact the owner of this branch. I have paid them a $400.00 deposit and am withholding what I was charged the day of my move until I receive a response and results to remedy the damages they have done. I know anytime you move some things will get scratched and possibly broken, but the damage they did to my items is extreme and very excessive. I have no idea how much it will cost to repair many of these items, if they can be repaired at all. I asked the company to send me a form to document the damages and they refused until I paid the bill in full. I told them I would not pay anything else until someone of authority speaks to me and sees what they have done. They also stole wine from my wine collection. I don't know if other items will come up missing but it won't surprise me. This company sent 6 men to move a 3350 square foot home of household items and they could not get it done. It took the second company with 2 men working a day and a quarter to move the items All My Sons left. I would estimate All My Sons left 20-25% that the second moving company had to move. I would not recommend this company to anyone! I've attached just a few of the photos. I will attach more later if I can.
Description of Work: I'm disabled and needed movers to move my household items from Colorado Spring to Monument, CO. I also needed about 25% of my household items packed. I had packed the rest myself prior to the move.

All four of the movers were very professional and polite. As a military person it is hard for me to watch others work and not help, when I did try to help they were like "you are paying us to do this" and I just watched. They moved me while the weather was snowing and they even shoveled the drive ways. I would recommend them highly!

Over the weekend I went online looking for a local moving company. I gave my contact info to about four or five companies. On Monday morning I was contacted by All My Sons. After talking on the phone for a few minutes, I hired them right then and there. I was informed of all of the details of the company and services provided. I was able to schedule my move for two days later. I didn't think that would be possible, but it was. Jacob and Jeremy showed up on time. They were polite and professional and walked me through the whole process. They worked hard and got finished an hour early which provided me a refund. They wrapped the furniture and set it up where I wanted it. I highly recommend All My Sons and I would ask for Jacob and Jeremy.

I went with a different hauler.
Description of Work: I did a little reseach on moving companies in preparation for gathering a few estimates. Unfortunately, AMS did just about everything wrong (based move on square footage, did not make a visit to the house, was EXTREMELY vague on providing a bottom line).

We were given an estimate of 3 hours to move some of our heavy furniture approximately 15 miles across Colorado Springs. We moved most of our belongs ourselves, but had approximately two dozen pieces that were heavy and expensive that we wanted moved by professionals. Joel at All My Sons quoted me one hour of travel time and a minimum of 2 hours moving time at a cost of $144/hour. With the small number of pieces we had to move and the fact that most things were disassembled and staged for easy access, we estimated it would take them about 3 hours to load and unload for a total of 4 hours (including travel). When the crew arrived at our house, I was told I would be charged a minimum of 2 hours at the loading site and a minimum of 2 hours at the delivery site plus one hour of travel---not what I was told originally. After surveying the number of pieces to move, the driver estimated it would take them less than 1.5 hours to load the truck and agreed that they would not charge us the 4 hour minimum plus 1 hour of travel. Amazingly, the 4-person crew took exactly 2 hours (to the minute) to load the truck. They stood around and watched one person tie things down in the truck. All 4 stopped work to call the office to ask permission to remove 8 screws to "disassemble" the storage drawers from our washer and dryer...which I ended up doing myself. In short, they tried every delaying tactic they could to make sure they charged us 2 full hours on the loading end. When they arrived at our new house, the driver said he could not drive up our driveway although we've had multiple furniture delivery and construction trucks in and our of our driveway over the past 2 months...some significantly larger than the All My Sons truck. Their solution was to park at the bottom of our driveway and charge us 4 hours of time to carry everything up. When we protested and called the main office, they went back to the truck and refused to do anything. They sat at the bottom of our driveway for over an hour refusing to open the doors and deliver our furniture. We asked that they send another, smaller truck to offload our furniture and bring it up the driveway, but they said they couldn't do that. We finally made an agreement with Joel for three hours of service so our furniture would not be held hostage. When we went down to the truck to ask the movers to start bringing things in, the driver was yelling at someone from the main office that he wasn't delivering anything to us because he had been "disrespected". The 4-person crew continued to sit in their truck at the bottom of our driveway until the company sent another crew of 4 people to unload our furniture. While this company's cost may seem appealing initially, they will find a way to increase your costs significantly. In the end, we ended up paying far more than we would have paid to a more reputable company. I'm very sorry I didn't read their rating on Angie's List before contracting with them! Please learn from our expensive mistake.

Things went well generally, but they failed to follow detailed directions. Our bedroom furniture was placed in the back of the storage units even though we requested that it be put in front for future access. The problem was that we couldn't control all of them at once. I was outnumbered 5 to one for unloading! They had a lot of enthusiasm to get it done quickly, but just couldn't follow directions. The good news was that we got done earlier than expected and under-ran the estimate by $1300.
Description of Work: They moved us from a home in Colorado Springs into 3 storage units in Longmont. We self packed Six guys showed up in the Springs and 5 in Longmont the next day.

Estimate: 2-3 hours, $300-400 Actual: 8-9 hours, $1,500, negotiated to $1,260. Extremely disappointed by incompetent estimating process, failure to manage customer expectations up-front. Budgeted $500, ended up having to pay, since house-hold goods held hostage, $1,260; negotiated down from $1,500. Original crew of 2, which should be sufficient, inadequate, so had to add a 3rd, still resulting in a move WELL over the 3 hour estimate. My spouse booked All My Sons without knowledge of, and use of, Angie's List...never again!
Description of Work: Moved approx. 1300 sq-ft of home furnishings 4 miles from 2,400 sq-ft town-home to local condo. Most of furnishings were pre-boxed by owner, leaving only kitchen and a few misc. to pack by All My Sons.

All My Sons Moving & Storage All My Sons Moving & Storage, was pretty quick. The only thing I didn't like was, they decided to use two trucks instead of one (in the estimate they said one truck) so, I had to pay extra. It was a fair experience.
