Paid for a complete A/C unit condenser and coil. The unit would never work and my home was alway warm to hot. The company came to my home constantly to try and fix, now after three years of failing they now wanted me to pay $2200 for a new coil unit and this would be at lease the 2nd or 3rd time that it was replaced. I told them I was not going to pay them again. I found another company to find the issue and they found a leak and replaced the part and now my home feels like an home with a working unit. In the beginning after the unit was installed, I recommended them to my daughters for a repair, they sent the same tech that I dealt with most of the time, he said she needed this expensive replacement part. She got a second opinion and it some $40 dollar part and a total of around 140 job, A&A wanted over $1000. This was the longest and worst experience ever, USE ANOTHER COMPANY

I called and needed Benn right away . I was told in 30 minutes and no joke he was there in 29 minutes. very friendly, professional, knowledgeable and fast. fixed it in no time and saved me money and suggested and priced future projects. I tried for several days to find someone to come and find a solution to my problem. Many heating repair companies in CS do not work on boilers...especially old ones! Steve Ray came out early on the third day of my search, immediately set to work to identify the problem, and had my hot water functioning again within an hour. He was efficient, professional, and even tolerated me hanging out asking questions and probably getting in the way. I'm a happy camper!

Timeline of events: August 7, 2017 - Agreement established through salesman Evan A. Rose. Established confirmation of installation date. Agreed upon price: $9,300/ $2,300 financed at 12 months 0% interest). August 10, 2017 - Work began. During course of the work the installers were negligent and caused damages throughout two rooms (my 8-year-old daughter’s bedroom and playroom) and a hallway and this damage was reported to the salesman. By the salesman I was informed the owner would be contacting me on this day but the owner never did. Upon inspection of the delivered equipment damage was discovered and report made by me of the damage. No payment was provided in consonance with the agreement and my desire for equipment without cosmetic damage as well as my personal property damages rectified. I was told by the installers that someone from manufacturing might have to come out and look at the equipment. I offered the equipment and the personal property to witness by the owner and the manufacturing and to date not a single soul from the A & A Professional Cooling & Heating or the manufacturing (Mitsubishi) has come to see what has been reported. I took countless photos and a stream of video and have not been negligent in supporting my claims with evidence. August 11, 2017: John Martinez (“Customer and Employee Services/Parter [sic]”) contacts me by telephone and demands that I take time off of work without compensation and have a service come to my home and perform routine cleaning services where there would be no precautions for possible pollutants (such as asbestos). I explained to John Martinez that it was not prudent for me to wait until next week for this type of thing—his cleaning service was not available for several days out—and I was not able to afford the time off from work. I wanted restoration of my daughter’s rooms and the hallway completed post haste, for August 13, 2017 once I was returned from picking up my daughter from her overnight camp on August 12, 2017. My daughter was to start school on August 16, 2017 and the majority of her possessions (to include her sleeping space and most of her clothing, to include her school uniforms) were not available to her as they were damaged by the installers. In fact, John Martinez sent me an email, as well, on this day at 11:58 a.m. saying, in part, “The cleaning company is available this afternoon if that works for you? [sic]”. Evidently John Martinez did not take me seriously when I told him I work outside the home—a full-time job—Monday through Friday and thus was not able to on the fly leave that work without cost. At the same time, John Martinez said he would not compensate me for any time off I would have to take from this work to facilitate the clean up. John Martinez corresponds with me via email and states he has offered reasonable solutions when he has not agreed to replace the damaged equipment nor find a viable solution for the cleaning up of the affected areas of my house. He offers me a $300 discount for the cosmetic damage and I refuse this because I do not want the cosmetic damage. He offers me $300 to hire someone to clean up. He requests I pay in full $8,700 by August 14, 2017. August 14, 2017: After John Martinez receives my email wherein I state my position, yet again, with professional cleaning and the equipment John Martinez now says he does not have a problem paying me to do the cleaning. Additionally, he says that what I am requesting is unreasonable and I requested very clearly as follows: “I am not able to accept damaged hardware, poor installation, or financial responsibility for anything associated with repairing the damages for the ‘cement dust.’ . . . . I think I am being reasonable in my request for A & A Professional Cooling & Heating to bear full costs associated with clean up and providing the new, undamaged equipment that I purchased to include a proper install.” John Martinez says that I must accept the cosmetically damaged equipment and take a discount to compensate for the clean-up costs AND “sign a waiver that you will not attempt to get us to pay for, or provide anything related to this job or the services we provided, and that you will not defame us publicly (on-line review sites) since we were able to come to an agreement)” in order to prevent “a bunch of legal fees on top of missing work etc.”. Indeed, John Martinez tries to take advantage of my situation, requires me to take damaged equipment and forfeit warranties and servicing, and insists that I don’t publicize the facts of this experience I have had with A & A Professional Cooling & Heating. August 24, 2017: I get a letter in the mail that informs me of an intent to file a mechanics lien if I do not pay A & A Professional Cooling and Heating $9,300 and thereby shows desire to threaten the home of a sole parent and a young child. At no time has A & A Professional Cooling & Heating took inventory of my personal property damages, lost wages, clean up costs, and cosmetic damages to the the delivered equipment. At no time has A & A Professional Cooling & Heating delivered “100% satisfaction” that the company guaranteed. Appearances indicate that A & A Professional Cooling & Heating has attempted to get me to submit to their demand to accept cosmetically damaged equipment, by threatening me with things they know I do not want and things they have good reason to suspect I would not want. A & A has breached their contract by not providing the new equipment that was promised to me and by not requiring me to pay before the job was complete and my satisfaction was 100%. I never agreed to cosmetic damages and questionable installation nor the negligence with my personal property. The only thing standing between my money and A & A Professional Cooling & Heating is delivery of what was agreed upon. I have been able to help A & A Professional Cooling & Heating complete the job but A & A Professional Cooling & Heating has, also by appearance, walked off the job. Additionally, because I would not accept the cosmetic damages the company has now threatened to file a mechanics lien if now I do not pay the original price on the job of $9,300. I withheld submitting negative review on this company, A & A Professional Cooling & Heating, until now because I wanted to give the company more chance to demonstrate themselves and what they are about. They speak a lot of talk—in writing and on their website—but it has been my experience they do not actually walk this talk. A & A Professional Cooling & Heating is welcome to take their equipment back and call it even or provide unblemished equipment and fulfill the contract as well as compensate me in full for the price to me of the damages and clean up. Simply, I am not going to pay A & A Professional Cooling & Heating for product and service they did not deliver. It is not going to happen no matter what A & A Professional Cooling & Heating’s threats. I am a retired military officer and pilot and wonder if A & A Professional Cooling & Heating assumes because I am a single female I am ill-equipped to accomplish what needs to be accomplished to stand up against this very poor business A & A Professional Cooling & Heating has and continues to provide. Additionally, I learned from direct liaison with Mitsubishi Electric Company (Michelle Lunsford) that A & A Professional Cooling & Heating is not a “Diamond Contractor” and it is not normal for Mitsubishi products to have the damage I reported, for anything in Mitsubishi’s manufacturing process or shipping process. Ms. Lunsford told me it is appropriate to insist the installer rectify the cosmetic damages if I am not okay with the cosmetic damages. Last, I failed to add that the foreman of the installers was caught by me standing on books that he had knocked off one of my daughter’s bookshelves. This foreman did not pick up the books but had made a choice to disrespect my possessions in that fashion, too. It was a very offensive sight to see, the dereliction of duty this “professional” company has delivered to date.

This issue has been resolved. We offered to take care of the situation immediately but were unable to reach a reasonable agreement. The BBB complaint was dropped right away as we handled the situation properly.

EXCELLENT SERVICE. The Amana Lifetime warranty helped close the deal. I met with several companies for price quotes. A&A offered the overall best price and warranty. The compressor comes with a lifetime compressor replacement warranty and 10 years on other parts. A&A offered a lifetime labor warranty by having them install the unit and becoming a Service Club Member, which means that they will service the equipment annually. The annual service is part of maintaining the warranty. Basically, I will not have to buy another compressor unit in my life. My experience with all of the staff was excellent from start to finish. Evan, who conducted the initial inspection and price quote, took the time, much longer than I would expect him to, to answer all of our many questions. Evan was at our home for 1 1/2 hours at least. John, from the office, followed up a few days later and answered several more questions. I was torn in deciding between staying with the company who sold and serviced my furnace for the last three years or switching to A&A. I expressed my concerns to John and without any high pressure sales tactics, John was able to have me see the value in his products and with A&A. The deal was finalized on a Thursday and the install team was here on Monday. The team of Philip, Johnny, and Steve provided excellent service. They took time to answer my questions, let me watch parts of the install as I tried to stay out of their way, and remained friendly and professional. They took the time to show me how to use the humidifier since I never had one, how to program the thermostat, and the best way to use the AC so that my home won't take so long to cool down. John called the next day to follow up on the install. I let him know that all went well. He asked me what they could improve on a EXCELLENT SERVICE FROM START TO FINISH up to this point. I could go on about how happy I am with is company but I will end here. I highly recommend A&A to anyone looking for a quality company to install and/or service your HVAC equipment.
Description of Work: Installed a 16 seer 2ton Amana ASX16 Central AC system, (coil & compressor) unit, a Honeywell bypass humidifier, and a RGF REME Halo air cleaner that was installed in my vent. The Halo has cleaned and keeps the air in my pet friendly home CLEAN.

This company was by far the best of the ones that came to our home. We had another company come out first. They were there for approximately 10 minutes and provided a bid for a 3-ton unit. Aand A Professional subsequently came out and spent an hour explaining what we needed and why. They measured the ducts and did an indepth calculation to determine what we needed exactly. Their calculation included measuring windows and every possible variable. They arrived on time and did an excellent job. They got the coil and the unit installed within 4 hours including the electrical line that needed to be run. We were aware of the whole process and had zero surprises. Everything was delivered and installed exactly as promised. I would highly recomend them as their price turned out to be lower and their service was above average.

very well....took about an hour....removed the broken item and replaced with new humidifier. Furnace Physicians had put the unit in 3 years ago...They wanted 275$ to do the same work. Very satisfied with A and A professional service. Definitly use again.

Quoting and estimate was thorough, Alan Patterson (the owner) took his time and patiently answered all of our questions and the quote was lower than their competitors. Service was fast, high quality. They were available much sooner than their competitors. I would recommend and use Aand A again.

Decided to upgrade and modernize 24 year old furnace and water heater and add A/C to our house. They came in with the best price for quality equipment and guaranteed installation. There were no hidden fees, it was all upfront pricing and the estimate was what we paid. They guarantee that price, even if they later find something that will cost extra, what they estimate is what you pay. The crew showed up within 15 minutes of the start time and were complete same day with no shortcuts in the work performed. When there was a minor issue with the A/C not cooling, they were at our house within 6 hours of our call and had the unit repaired (the freon was low). Very professional crew, they cleaned up very well after the work was complete and we have had no issues outside of the low freon, which we believe was just a loose valve.

These guys are nice guys and probably do fine replacing an existing system, but they just don't have the knowledge or skills to deal with unusual situations. They tend to do what is easiest rather than what is the best and did not display in-depth system knowledge. They have been back to the house countless times (failed inspection 3 or 4 times - I lost count), and even brought a Honeywell rep along to try and properly install the humidifier (still unsuccessful). We were very patient with these guys because we liked them personally, but professionally we have finally given up on them. They were by no means the low bidder, more the middle of the road. Allen is very responsive and seems to know his stuff - he especially knows all about the various rebates available. However, Allen is the boss not the installer. I guess we should have suspected something when they showed up on the first day and the system we contracted for would not fit through the attic access door. Attention to detail is definitely not their strong suit. So, if you have a basic system replacement, these guys will be fine, but if you have anything unusual, definitely do not call these guys.

My experience with them was very positive. I thought they did a very nice job at a fair price. Their merchandise was good and their technicians were helpful. I paid about $7000 on the job. Their price was the main factor for using them. I would use them again in the future.

Alan was able to schedule an initial appt within one day of my phone call. He was very low pressure and presented all of the options and answered all of my questions - he was probably there for about 2 hours - not because of his sales pitch, but because I had lots of questions. I had already received three other bids and he beat all of them by at least $1800. We signed up on the spot for a 95% furnace w/ 10-yr warranty, 14-SEER AC w/ 10-yr warranty, and a FREE humidifier. He was able to schedule us for later the next week. His crew arrived the next week ON TIME and began the work. My wife was home during installation and she had nothing but praise for the installers. They even stayed a little late to wait for me to get home from work so they could show me all the bells and whistles of the new system. It took an entire day for them to install the system. They were very meticulous with cleaning up after themselves and even made it easier to install the filters by creating new access panels - this was not something they had to do, but did it because it would be more convenient for us. The only knock against them was that the installers didn't exactly look "professional". However, they were class acts anyway - friendly, smiling, hard working, and courteous. I would definitely recommend them, and I will continue to use them for all of my HVAC needs in the future.
Description of Work: Alan and his crew installed a 95% furnace, 14-SEER AC, and humidifier. They were BY FAR the best price, had excellent ratings on Angie's List, very friendly, and punctual.

They were able to book an appointment within a few days. When they installed the humidifier, they showed me how it worked and were very patient with my questions. They even came back out a couple days later to check on my A/C unit which had not been functioning properly since around the time of the humidifier installation. I wasn't sure if it was from the install or if it was a coincidence. Turns out there was a faulty wire; we weren't sure how it happened, but either way, they didn't charge me a cent! I am overly impressed with Aand A Cooling and Heating and will use them for my winter furnace inspection and further furnace needs.

We were referred to Aand A from a friend who has used them in all three of their different houses in COS. They came out and went over the different A/C units available with the pros and cons of each. They also walked us through the process of installing A/C in the house and what it entails. Also, because we were referred by a long time customer they installed a house humidifier for us for free! After setting up the install date, they were here on the day and time scheduled! The installation took less time then they estimated. They even let me look over their shoulder to learn! When the job was done, they told and showed me what has to be done to maintain the A/C and humidifier and the correct settings for both. A few months after the job they called to make sure everything was OK. At then end of summer, they called to see if I wanted them to come out and do an inspection and to replace filters. All in all, I have been very pleased with them!
