Shortly after payment work was started. I immediately noticed that furnace was not high efficient he said, "oh they sent the wrong one it isn't what I ordered." Later he said it was what he ordered but that it was the duct work he did that made it high efficient. He worked a couple of days and then didn't show up. In December the house was being kept warm with space heaters to keep the pipes from freezing as the furnace did not work. In late December he finally showed up and got the furnace "working". In January the furnace went through 500 gallons of propane. After much investigation a pipe in the attic was found that wasn't connected to a vent so a straight run of heat was going out the roof. After much prodding by phone and text he finally showed up fixed the vent and supposedly was going to finish venting which he never did. He never brought the AC unit. He had stated the furnace was defective and he would replace it and that he would do whatever it took to make the job right. Towards the end of March more than 4 months after starting the job he stated he would be over on Saturday to install AC condenser and complete the job but wanted to collect the rest of the money on Friday. I told him I would pay him when the job was complete. He didn't show up. I sent several messages trying to find out what was going on that he ignored. He on more than one occasion threatened to have me charged with harassment if I continued to text him regarding the job. Text was the only way you could get a response from him as he wouldn't answer his phone and text was iffy at best. He always had an excuse for why he hadn't completed the job but was going to "make it right". At one point he claimed that he had paid $500.00 out of his own pocket to get the AC condenser which I question given the fact that if he had I would think he would have finished the job ASAP to get paid. I finally hired someone else in May well over 6 months from when Isreal started the job to complete the job. They finished the duct work, installed an AC condenser (not the one I had paid Isreal for as he never delivered it) and fixed the furnace in two days. Once it got hot they had to come back and spend several hours troubleshooting the AC that wasn't working until they found the problem in the Coil Isreal installed. They then had to order parts for the Coil because Isreal took them with him and AC would not work without them. I also still have to have my ceiling fixed in several places where he miss cut the vent holes in a very old railcar plank ceiling. It took numerous contacts to get the key to my house back and find out where the furnace came from if I had issues with it. He later said that he filed a police report for stealing his ladder that he left at my house and 8 months later is still there. He was the first person in the house to start working and left many things behind including his ladder, various parts and trash that other contractors were constantly having to move over a 5 month period to do their work and became incensed when I didn't know where things were. Other than what had appeared to be trash I had thrown away. The phone number listed goes directly to Isreal. He is very polite and charming up front but can't handle the demands of a customer wanting a job completed after 5 months of the start date. If there was a grade lower than F he would receive it.
Description of Work: This business is listed as being in Colorado Springs however Isreal, the phone # and the truck he uses for business has moved to Southeast Colorado where he resides and works for another company and does this on the side. Isreal was hired to install all duct work, high efficient furnace and central air in a home being remodeled. He was paid $3000.00 of $4200.00 quote to purchase all materials, equipment and part of labor cost with remaining $1200.00 to be paid when job was completed. He completed some duct work, installed a furnace that wasn't high efficient that he stated was defective and he would replace and an air conditioner coil without the proper piston for AC condenser. At the time he stated he was storing the outside AC unit in his garage until weather permitted installation and on more than one occasion confirmed that he had the AC condenser in his gargage. Plan was for everything but AC to be completed in Nov and he would return in March to install AC.

Description of Work: They installed an AC unit and I was pleased with their initial service however, since the work was completed I have been unable to reach them for annual service. As a result I contacted High |altitude who provided exceptional service and reported that the initial AC installation did not have the acceptable amount of coolant and therefore, may result in future problems with the AC unit.

Description of Work: They installed an air conditioner. I solicited several quotes before deciding on this company. I was impressed with the quality of their work and the time they took to explain the work performed as well as recommended maintenance.

These are the best guys in the business, hands down. Israel, Ben and Dan were absolutely amazing. We had bought a new house, and we had issues where the south end of the house was not getting very much air flow. We had several other HVAC folks evaluate it, one even attempted to repair it, but ultimately none came up with a good solution. Israel told me that it was due to a 90 degree jump the ductwork had to do to get to the south end of the house, and he explained in detail why that is a bad thing, and why the air is having such trouble making it over that bend. They removed the whole duct work going to the south end, and re-positioned it to flow in a straight line, having to build a custom duct piece that moved a few degrees to the left to avoid our stairs, then back again. Dan did an amazing job installing this duct and getting everything to fit just perfectly. After they were done, air flow through our 4200 SQ foot house was strong and equal through all the vents. Next: we had a problem where the AC unit was not cooling down the house. We had several HVAC professionals come in and evaluate the situation. Israel was the only one that walked in, took a look aroung the house, asked me what the square footage of the house was, took one look at the AC unit, and told us that there was no way that unit could cool down a house of that size. He suggested at least a 4 ton unit, but we went with a 5 ton unit just to make sure, and we got an American Standard AC unit, which is what we wanted in the first place. We also had a problem with strong winds knocking out our heat in the winter. Israel came up with a solution, moved the intake/outake pipe from the north side of our house to the east side, and we have not had any issues with our heat since then. We also asked him to re-locate the AC unit from the north side to the east side as well, to get it out of the wind, which he also did while putting in the new AC unit. There was a hole left in our stucco from where the old AC unit had been. They sealed the hole professionally, it looked fantastic when they were done. They even went so far as to try and match the paint, and repaint over the patch area. After all their hard work, our HVAC system is absolutely fantastic, and works like a champ! I cannot recommend these amazing folks enough, and I will be using them from now on for any and all HVAC work.
Description of Work: Replace Air conditioner, relocate AC unit and hvac exhaust/intake pipe, redo duct work to south end of house.
