Hans Kunze

Mr. Kunze and his daughter showed up to do the work. I should have known there was going to be a problem when he was two hours late on the first day. After he hung some of the drywall and mudded it - it became clear it was not level and we brought it to his attention but he just said he would level it out more and when he sprayed it with texture it would not be noticeable. I let him proceed. When he was done I questioned his on how it would look once I painted it as I knew it would show through the paint where it was still uneven and where the orange peel texture did not match and in some places looked more like moon craters. He told me to prime it twice before I painted it and then paint it and it would look great. I painted it just like he said and it looks awful. It is very noticeable on the ceiling where he patched it and the texture does not match at all. I have tried to call and email him and resolve this as he says he guarantees his work and he does not respond at all. He was late every day he worked here and not just a few minutes- it was usually an hour or so past the time he said he would be here and when he went to lunch he would tell me he would be back in an hour and was usually gone at least two hours. I am to the point where I am going to have to call someone else to repair his work and then take him to small claims court to get back part of the money I paid him.

Hans came out and quoted the price for the job. He arrived on time on the date we had scheduled. He had his helper go into the attic to check for any possible mold (none found). A few days later he came back to touch-up with the paint I provided. It proved to be the wrong paint so he came back again and repainted the area with the correct color at no extra charge. I would most certainly recommend Hans and will most certainly hire him again.

Hans promised to be done in 5 days, and finished in 4 and half. Everything was clean and actually better than before they started.

Hans responded promptly and gave me an estimate before any work was done. He and his wife installed Sheetrock throughout the house and on the ceiling and mudded and taped. They textured the walls with a semi smooth finish that made the whole house come together. They did inside the closets and put bullnose corners. It looked amazing and took about a week 1/2 to complete the job. I am very happy With the overall work they have done and would definitely hire them again.

Hans and Holly worked very hard at taking off the sprayed bubble ceiling we had. They also had to patch a large area in the hall that had water damage, they then painted the ceiling. When the job was complete they worked very hard to clean up the carpet and put things back. I was very impressed by their work and am happy with the results.

Very well. Hans does beautiful work. I got several bids from other contractors to do different parts of the job. Hans was the only contractor who could do everything - the wood work, paint, repairs, and finish the garage. His bid was a little higher than the other bids for each part of the project but in the end he was willing to lower his price to do the entire project. Hans did all the work while I, my wife and four small children were living in the house. He did a great job working around our busy schedule and did a good job of minimizing any disruption to my family. The project took longer than anticipated due to the size of our project and Hans had other projects he was working on around the same time he was working on our house. I plan to have Hans come back to do more painting this spring. I highly recommend Hans Kunze.
