All in all it went pretty good. The initial delivery date got pushed back by over a week and that was inconvenient. None of our effects were damage in the move.
Description of Work: Moved our household effects from Colorado to Iowa.

I tried to reach Roger concerning some questions that I had regarding a move from Colorado to Oregon. I never received any call or email in return. Almost a week later I received an email saying that the originally offered moving date was no longer available and it wouldn't be possible to move for another week to ten days after the original offer. They attempted to place the blame on me by saying that I hadn't contacted them and since I hadn't given them a written contract they wouldn't hold any date. I have checked with several other movers in the area and their quote was at least 1,000 higher than any other quote. Their professionalism is non existent. I was attempting to schedule a move on short notice, so I was very prompt in my communications. I can't say the same for Roger and Johnson United Van Lines. They will over charge you and will not communicate in a timely or courteous manner. I would never do business with such a company that would insult a potential customer. I can only imagine what a nightmare it would have been if I had trusted them to do the move for me. I am so glad that I investigated other companies and made a wise decision. North American Van Lines is a much better company to deal with and they will get my business.
Description of Work: They came to my home to give me a quote for services. Roger then returned to his office to write up a quote for moving, which was emailed to me the next day.

They were really great and very thorough. They were very personable, timely and courteous. They took good care of our possessions and they followed any special instructions that we had. It was overall a good experience. They did lose one of our boxes, but we didn't have anything super sentimental in it. But at least they were really good about working with us on reimbursing us for what was in there. I would use them again
Description of Work: We used the moving company United Van Lines to move from Colorado to Yuma. I don't know what the cost was because the new company that my husband is working for, paid for it.
