Steve and his team did a fantastic job on our remodel project. We added a new bathroom above our garage and remodeled an existing bathroom. The job was not straight-forward and involved installing a 30 ft steel beam in our garage. Steve was ready for the challenge and had a solution for some complex problems we encountered. He was punctual, professional, and a great communicator. He prioritized finishing our project in a timely manner once he started and did not leave us "torn up" and waiting. Daniel and Mike both did great work and were very friendly. We would definitely work with Steve and his team again in the future and would recommend him to anyone who asked.

I had an absolutely A+ experience using Steve Rechsteiner to remodel our shower and I can't wait to rave about it! From our very first phone call that he answered while he was walking his dogs, to his last drop-in to do a quality-check on the finished state of the shower, Steve gave us that white-glove, red-carpet treatment that you feel like you deserve when you're spending thousands on something (right?!) The impeccable quality of work speaks for itself in the photos, but it's the *customer service* that really makes a difference in my opinion. During the entire process, I felt like I was Steve's most valued customer. I proposed a Thanksgiving deadline that Steve made look like a piece-of-cake for him to handle, even though I know his workers, the plumber Henry (KMG Heating & Plumbing), his glass/measuring guys, and even his two young boys who dropped off the tiles worked hard to get it done in time for Thanksgiving. Steve was also incredibly considerate of my time and space. A wet saw had to be stored in my garage overnight while they were still working on the tiles for the shower. They kept to their word and their schedule, and the saw was only in my garage for one night as promised. Also, all walkways and carpeted areas were covered during the course of the job, so nothing got dirty or stained. Steve's workers Kyle and Daniel were at my house at 7:30 every morning during the job, and I appreciated that they were always right on time. They even went above and beyond more than once by doing things like taking down an old smoke alarm for me and replacing it with another one that I had. Also, they brought some white paint and patched up any areas that maybe got dirty or chipped during the remodel. I really appreciated that they brought their own paint for that, since I didn't have any in my garage. (Wish my window installers did that). And another fun thing, Steve brought over Domino's pizza for Kyle and Daniel one of the days and they got a whole pizza for me and my wife as well! It made me happy to see that Steve takes good care of his employees like that as well. The shower remodel itself took about 4 days, and as you can see from the pictures it turned out absolutely fantastic. The grout work, the niche, the fixtures, the hinge glass door, the new light -- everything turned out perfect. There are no defects of any kind in the workmanship. It really refreshes the whole look of the bathroom, and we're glad we waited a few extra weeks for the custom hinged glass door instead of a stock sliding glass door. There were no surprises in the invoice either when compared to the original estimate. Everything was priced fairly and accurately. We've been using the shower for weeks and everything works properly and drains well. I'm so glad we used Steve for our shower remodel and we already can't wait to use him again for our kitchen counter-top and other remodels in the future!

Steve was the contractor responsible for the remodel of our main bathroom and master bedroom including new tile, appliances, fireplace and new wooden floors in the bedroom. Ever project was completed on time and on budget. We then utilized him to finish half the basement and a new bathroom. The results are beautiful! We hired Rechsteiner Home Improvements to do a full remodel of our 20-yr old master bedroom and bathroom in 2020 and then hired them again to demo and rebuild our living room main wall with fireplace as well as add a loft to the new bedroom in 2021. The whole experience was top notch. Steve is amazing - he is punctual, no-nonsense, runs a tight ship, and is onsite much of the time doing work himself or collaborating with his crew and subs. He's an expert manager and craftsman. He hires the best and expects the best and the results speak for themselves. His team is small, skilled, respectful, devoted, and clean. They work cohesively with each other, and more importantly from a homeowner's perspective, with me and my family throughout the whole project. I truly enjoyed having them come to the house - they were full of courtesy and talent and they cleaned up after themselves always. Big Mike is a rock star! He literally built us sauna from a pile of cedar planks and an instruction pamphlet I'm convinced was in Swedish. Henry gets kudos for not only being a plumbing magician but also for the emergency installation of a new (unplanned) hot water heater during the course of the project, and for his keen idea to incorporate the downstairs guest rooms into the new instant water heating system thus saving us countless gallons of wasted water. Regardless of design snafus, backed-up materials due to covid shortages, weather or county permit delays, Steve kept his cool, confident attitude, and didn't miss a beat. His subs were reliable and honest. He got each project done timely and always communicated when he or his crew would be onsite. They took photos of the work along the way and tracked daily progress in a shared app that kept us up to speed even when we were out of town. Steve quoted me a cost for the project in 2019 and he held to that cost even through the price hikes in 2020 - I have NEVER had that experience before and it was mind blowing! Steve had very poor planning. Demolished one bathroom weeks before he could start the remodel. Wanted to start demolition on the second before the first was complete. Did poor work. Did half job on the walls the tile and the shower. Installed the shower floor wrong and hired someone to come fix his mistakes. Had to go to BBB to get them to mediate

We were referred to Steve by friends who used him and cannot say enough positive things about the quality of his work! From the demo of our project (remodeled almost the entire first floor) right up until the last nail was hammered, Steve was completely engaged. His crew was polite and treated our home with the utmost respect during the 8 week period. Most importantly, Steve took the time to do his due diligence prior to giving us pricing. Therefore, the final quote for the scope of work was accurate and itemized, thus there were no financial surprises throughout the project. This is a rare find in the construction business. My wife and I highly recommend him without reservation and we absolutely love our new first floor!

I cannot say enough on the quality, professionalism and honesty I received from Steve and Carrie. I had a 1700 sq. ft. bare concrete basement I needed to turn into an apartment for my family and was terrified in looking for a contractor because of so many horror stories but OH MY what a beautiful finish we have.!!. What impressed me first that made me go with them was the reality and detail of the bid. We came spot on to what we both agreed to which means they understood my vision and what I wanted and ensured it was all covered in the bid, NO SURPRISES and did not want cash up front which immediately created that trust factor. All the contractors were respectful understood my communication and direction of what I was talking about and all on schedule. Steve plans very well and keeps himself involved constantly, I will call them again for my next project and you should too if your looking for a trustful professional contractor.

We hired Rechsteiner Home Improvements to remodel our master bath, hall bath, and mudroom, and they did a fantastic job. Steve and Carrie (and his whole crew) were so nice to work with, and were always respectful of our home and our time. I really appreciated that most of the work was done by Steve and members of his own crew rather than a lot of subcontractors. Carrie gave us great design assistance for our master bath, and we could not be happier with how it turned out. We will definitely be calling them again if we decide to do anymore remodeling. This is the third project that Rechsteiner has completed for us and once again we are very pleased. Rechsteiner completed a basement remodel which included a new 3/4 bathroom, new flooring, lighting, replaced windows and paint. Steve's wife Carrie is very helpful with the selection of flooring and bathroom tile. Steve's crew are always professional , polite and always clean up the project at the end of the day. Steve is always mindful of the budget and there are never any surprises which we appreciate. We look forward to working with Rechsteiner again in the future.

Steve and his crew are top notch. We liked the work so much we had him come back and remodel an upstairs bathroom this summer and we are hiring him to do repairs on the exterior of our house this fall. Very professional, reasonable and easy to work with. He is a man of his word and is great to work with. Absolutely the best contractor I have ever worked with. Great crew as well, we specifically asked Marcus to be involved with the floors and tile work in bathroom after seeing his work in the kitchen. He is an artist!

One of the most favorable experiences we have had with contractors. Our project was a complete basement completion with a 3 sided fireplace, steam shower, heated tile floors, theatre room, exercise room and bar. The true test of a contractor is in problem resolution (which there almost always is in a major project). Steve and his team were excellent at resolving challenges and making sure that we were happy. Steve was very professional and a great communicator! I was impressed from day one and felt important and like Steve was grateful for the opportunity to help us improve our home! Project started on time and ended sooner than planned. Steve has a really top notch crew. All the crew members respected our home also good at communicating and made me feel comfortable. We had our loft/ master bedroom closed in. They did such an amazing job and it looks like the wall was always there and really in place. The end result was better than we imagined and are so pleased. Steve and his crew did a great job. I needed to impose a pretty hard and tight deadline due to a baby soon to arrive and he still did a great job.
