Affordable Arborist

Did not go well. Set up the first appointment with Mark Malloy at 4:30pm on 1April2015, did not show up, no call - left a message on answering machine. I had let Mark know that I would have to leave work early and would make up the time on another day. On 2April2015 contacted Mark Malloy in the morning asking what happened that he did not show up. Mark told me that he got called by the police, who had picked up, ticketed and arrested one of his employees in a company truck. Mark had to get to the truck before it was towed away to a holding lot. Said that his employee cut off a truck, forcing it to make an evasive maneuver and then smarted off to the officer who was behind the truck that was cut off. The officer arrested the employee. I set up a second appointment, when I called in the morning of 2April2015, for 4:30pm for the same day. At 4:30, Mark called and said that a employee had driven off and Mark had inadvertently left his clipboard with my address on it. Needed the address again and said he would be 30-45 late. At 6:00pm I called and left a message asking if he was still coming to my home. At around 7:00pm I called and left another message asking how long he expected me to work. On 6April2015 I called and asked for Mark and was asked who I was. I told the person and he asked for more info before he would answer my question. I verified with him that he was representing Affordable Arborist and the person said yes and roughly interrogated me for more info. Finally he told me that Mark was in an accident and was evasive regarding any more questions. Both the person I talked to on the the 1st, 2nd and today (6th of April) sounded like the same person. I now have a deep distrust of a company that refuses to contact customer regarding updates to promised appointment times, has employees that do not know how to either drive safely or deal with law enforcement, and become evasive when asked questions on the phone. Makes me wonder what else they have to hide. Howard Smiley
