Dixon has always been very good to work with. I have used for the same task several times in the past and will use them again. They are a family run business and David (one of the co-owners) is usually the person who does the estimates and the work. They were fairly prompt in returning my phone call and set a time for someone to stop by and inspect the house for an estimate. Once the estimate was provided I identified several other pieces of trim that I wanted replaced and they added them with no problems. They did miss their first date for doing the work, but that was due to inclimate weather outside of their control. They performed the serviced as quoted with no issues to date.

They did a great job overall. I would use them again.

Very well, as it always does. We are loyal, long-term/repeat clients of Dixon's (around 6 yrs) because they always do such a superior job. There was literally just one time in many past services that a window was missed and one phone call and they were out to take care of it the next day. It is obvious that they take pride in performing a 'job well done'.

I highly, highly recommend them to others. We used them last year and had a front porch step patio type and I had them take it all out and pour fresh concrete and they did the same thing in front of the garage door. He and his helper suggested putting in rain coating in my narrow hallway and having it painted white and the walls earth stone, which is what I was looking for. I had one small light in the hallway which made it dark, so I had him put in two direction lights in the ceiling. He recently enlarged my two bathrooms doors of the entrance to better facilitate disability access and they did a fine job on that. The first job I used him for was to replace 4 glass sliding closet doors in the master dressing room area because they were creating firing from the old wheels and staining the carpet. He re-wheeled two closet sliding doors in two guest bedrooms. He replaced my front inside door with a more decorative, insulated front door. I just had him replace the front storm door and 4 windows, which was one in the guest room and the others in the living room. They are great. He passed the test for one that is for things being accurate and square. His wife Regan is a Co-owner and she schedules all the jobs and she is very good, friendly and nice.

It was three of four thousand dollars, so I didn't proceed.

Everything went very well. They were very punctual.

They did an absolute fantastic job! They were reasonable, professional, and were so pleasant to be around. My windows had never looked more beautiful; they just glistened.

The price was reasonable and overall I was satisfied with the service.

Our experience was less than desired. I think the outside air temperature and conditions was very humid and moist environment and the dry wall mud was not drying very quickly. I think he wanted to be out in a day, so in effort to speed up the drying and I was not there at the time, but my wife was. He talked with my wife and talked her into using our personal hair dryer and plugged in my wife?s hair dryer and was trying to throw heat on the dry wall mud. The hair dryer got clogged with dry wall dust and after that when it was plugged in it sprayed out white dust on our hands. We were not happy about that and we wanted a new hair dryer, but they did not want to give us the money for the hair dryer and wanted to provide a hair dryer. They were going to buy the cheapest hair dryer and it came down to that they would deliver the hair dryer to us, we could not meet them anywhere or go to their office. The work they did was rushed on and we haven?t fixed it as yet and I think all of it has to be removed. I wasn?t happy with any of it.

I called Dixon's and scheduled an appointment to have them look at a roof leak. They arrived on time. They were dressed and acted very professionally. I told them about two concerns that I had. They said not to worry about 1 of the concerns because it did not need to be fixed. They then evaluated my roof leak. After about 30 minutes, they discovered the problem. They gave me a very reasonable estimate. I agreed to the estimate and then they subsequently fixed the leak. I was so happy with their service, that I requested an estimate on atic insulation. The estimate was very reasonable and I plan on utilizing them for that service. I would highly recommend Dixon's.

It looked great, and the paint matched really well. I found nothing wrong with it. They said they would be here one day, and they completed it on time. I was happy and would use them again.

He did just fine. The man was willing to climb up in the pouring rain and fix my roof. He may have come two different times to do what we wanted to get done because what we wanted, they couldn't have done it in one day. He got the job done and I have no complaints. He seemed to be knowledgeable and did good work for me.

I was happy with them. The cost of the repair was less than the cost of a new door. The knob and lock on the door were not lining up with the door frame properly. They came out and repaired the door frame, so that the door would close properly. They were friendly and punctual. They fixed the problem. I?ll use them again in the future.

He made me a new door, went and bought the stairs made of wood, did all the measuring and installed it. I was really happy to get it and it is still up there. The quality of their work was excellent. I would like, some day, to have them build one of those gazebo type things on my back patio. It is never the same person but they have all been very nice and professional. They are really dependable and I would definitely use them in the future. It's a man and wife thing and the woman works in the office. She is really nice and very helpful. She tries to get you in if you are in a hurry.

My parents built an apartment and they live with me now so I called Dixon's Custom Home Solutions and they came around and hung all the pictures, mirrors and curio cabinets and did all the odd end jobs. They put together a couple of things that I had ordered like table and stuff like that. They put in light fixtures and all the stuff that was on the wall. They have 4 or 5 employees and each have a different skill, depending on what you want done. They are really the only ones that I would call for that kind of stuff just because I know they'll come and do a good job. They send me Christmas cards every year. I kind of try to stay on the south side just because I know it's easier for them and they're more likely to come again. They are very accommodating and they pretty much do practically anything. I am a big believer in Angie's List and it's just easier to read what someone else has to say about the work done.

They were prompt and a little expensive. I've used them three times. I got several estimates and I liked the owner, Dave. He is a former retired electrician and I feel comfortable with that. The first time I used them they enclosed my screened in porch and made it a sunroom.

Every time that I have dealt with them I have had a very good experience. They are an outstanding company. The first time that I used them there was a problem; they back everything and took care of the problem for me. Every time then they have gone above and beyond to make sure that everything was taken care of for me. I give them A?s all the way.

They were great and did a good job. We didn?t have any problems with them. They were timely and cleaned everything up. The only issue we had was with the place we ordered the countertops. They got the backsplashes wrong the first time, and it had nothing to do with the installers. Because of that delay, they took 2 weeks to finish their job.

I have utilized Dixons for handyman repairs on several occasions. They did a terrific job in every instance. Bobby and Andy performed the work on this occasion. They were polite, helpful, and the quality of their work was excellent.

The quality of the work was good, but the price was more than what I expected it to be. They negotiated it down after we had some issues about that. The original price was $1,200-$1,300. I would probably not use them again.

Dixon is always my favorite for doing a project and doing it well! Dave and I had several discussions on how we wanted the project to look. He helped us come up with a reasonable solution that looked consistant with the existing house. The two guys who came to do the work were great. Super friendly and helpful. They did an excellent job and even cleaned up after themselves. We have used them many times in the past and will continue to do so!

Andy was very polite and did a good job.

Contractor first moved the doors out as far as they could go; however, doors wouldn't close correctly from there. He had to relocate them about a half inch farther back.

I hired them to do a lot of projects in my newly built home. The cost was higher than the estimate for two reasons. First, they bought the laundry room cabinets (I orginally was going to purchase them), and second, it took two days to finish all the projects. When I scheduled the work to be done, they thought it would only take one day. One extra days work really increased the cost. I was very impressed with this company. They were on time, polite, and very professional. I would hire them again. In fact, I probably will.

They provided a detailed estimate, consulted with us on corrections and repairs to be done. showed up as stated completed the job on time, in budget and the work was A+. The first honest, hardworking contractor I have found.
