I reached out to Anthonyâ s Chimney Sweeps for help with 1) application of a chimney crown coat seal, and 2) installation of a lock top chimney damper. My homeâ s crown coat had worn away and the damper had literally fallen off the chimney (probably due to a combination of raccoons and wind). Both Anthony and I had to be flexible with the timing of this job as he had vacation planned and the weather was a problem (rain and snow). However, it was super easy to work with Anthony and the communication was great! He kept me up to date on his schedule, and he worked with me when I needed to fit the work in to a very tight timeframe on my end. Anthony both called and texted me, as appropriate. He was pleasant explained everything thoroughly and to my satisfaction, and he was patient. He regularly asked if I had any questions. The bottom line is that he did what he said he would do in a timely fashion. There were zero problems. He even made a point to drop off the equipment I paid for in advance of his vacation so that I would have it. I paid $600 up front and $600 when the work was finished. Too, while he was on the roof, Anthony noticed that my roofer had failed to install a furnace cap and storm collar last year and brought it to my attention. He took pictures of everything so that I could see his work and what was going on on the roof. Now that this work has been done my house is much less drafty and Iâ ll recoup the cost of this repair over the next few months. Highly recommend and I will call Anthony again in the future.

We contracted with Anthonyâ s Chimney Sweeps to clean out a wood burning fireplace. They were wonderful and very informative on how we could continue to keep it clean. We asked that we be put on their customer list to come out and clean annually. Based on our experience with them, we contracted with them to install a wood burning fireplace on our rental property in a garage. We told them they did not need to do this for months but by Septemberâ October before the cold started. They mentioned they would have to buy supplies and we had no problem providing them with $1,200 upfront to pay for those supplies as we realized the supply chain was tough. September-October rolled around and they continued to put us off. November arrived, too much snow for them to do any work but during the week of Thanksgiving the weather will be great, they will come out and do it. No show. After emails back and forth, they agreed to refund us our $1,200, which we provided them in the summer. The check arrived, we cashed it and it was returned NSF. We reached out, asked that they replace the check with either cash or a money order, and gave them until after Christmas (2 weeks) to rectify it. We still have not received a response and find ourselves in the position of having to write this review. If you work with this company, DO NOT give them any money upfront and make sure to do your due diligence and research them. There are other reviews out there like ours. We thought going through Home Advisor, they would have been vetted, but it appears not. When you take someoneâ s money and do not return it that tells me a lot about their character.

contacting and connecting was tricky, but we finally caught up with each other, hence the customer service rating. As far as value, he was the lowest price offered by the three professionals I contacted, but it still seemed pricey. He was on time, did a good job, and made no mess in my house! Definitely recommend!

Anthonyâ s came today and looked over our fireplace, gave us some excellent recommendations on maintenance and informed us it didnâ t need to be cleaned. He also told us there was no charge !!! To experience integrity like this in todayâ s world is unusual but a real blessing!! These people are honest , straight forward and highly skilled in their craft. They will have all my future chimney related business!!!!

One of the worst and frustrating vendor experience I have encountered! Showed up for our original visit (6/9/22) to review the work needed and submit a bid. Work was estimated at $700 for connections, repairs, cleaning, gaskets, etc. Gave him $350 to order parts. When he came back (6/30/22), not only did he not have the parts but the wood stove piping collapsed during his servicing causing damage to our newly and freshly painted living room wall (all done as we had just bought the home and moved in). It was at this time he stated he needed to get parts from his shop but with the 4th of July weekend upon us, he would need to come back on Saturday, July 9th. Not only did he not show on the 9th but he never communicated back to us until we were able to finally connect with him (using another phone number as we had been blocked) on 7/13/22. He proceeded to let us know that he had passed us on to someone else because ,thats what owners do, he claimed. He went on to justify this by stating he would be having a meeting with his team the next morning to discuss ways of doing business better while verifying that we had his personal mobile number and to use it as needed. He agreed to reschedule the completion of this project on 7/18/22 by personally showing up and that he would not charge us the $350 balance as a customer service gesture. Well guess what? Our scheduled appointment time/day has come and gone and another no show and no call from Anthonys. Our calls are going directly to voicemail. Messages have been left and yet again, no returned communications back. Not only does he have and cashed our $350 (which I can only imagine will not be returned) but I am left to start over searching for the next vendor to complete our needed wood stove repairs and the wall damages left behind by Anthonys. So much for customer service, training and leading by example. Excuses, pointing the finger and throwing others under the bus; is not what good owners and businesses do!

Great customer service

Conventional wood/brick fireplace. Anthony did a good job installing a new damper (on top of the chimney, with chain going down to firebox) after removing the old stuck rusted original damper in the fireplace opening. Also cleaned the chimney Anthony is easy to get along with and professional. He had to reschedule the initial appointment due to wind/weather concerns, but let me know the day before, then showed up promptly for the rescheduled appointment a day later.
