Description of Work: • Purchase a mechanical permit from the Town of Silt (value $50) • Purchase an electrical permit from the State of Colorado (value $75) • Remove the existing furnace and install an evaporator coil between the furnace and the floor. This will require the furnace to be raised up about 20” and will not affect its performance or safety. • Install a 4” pleated filter and filter housing on top of the furnace. This will allow easy access to change the filter. It should be changed every 12 months. We will also leave you an extra filter • Reconnect the furnace and hook up the gas, electrical, flue and controls that are currently in place. • Install a pre-formed composite pad outside the home for the A/C to sit on • Install copper refrigeration lines from the furnace room, down into the crawl space and then penetrate the exterior wall near the A/C unit. We will seal this hole for a clean install. • Install a condensate drain from the evaporator coil to the floor drain in the furnace room. • Install a A/C hard start kit and expansion valve to increase efficiency and life of the unit. These are premium items and I feel they are important (value $125) • Install an electrical circuit from the meter base to the new A/C (value $500) • Start, test and commission all new equipment • Perform a combustion analysis and routine maintenance on the existing furnace
