Not well. When I called the Sod farm, a lady told me that I would be contact by a man named Cary. Cary called me later that day and we set an appt for him to come by and give us an estimate to replace the sod in the back yard. The next day 10am he was supposed to show up . at 10:45 I called the sod farm and they said they would get in touch with him and call me back. They called me back about 10 minutes later and said he was about 5 minutes away. 15 minutes later Cary showed up and explained that he tried to call me but my number was disconnected. When I asked him what phone number he called he had the wrong number. We then proceeded to the back yard , I explained what I wanted him to do and he set out to measure the yard. About 10 minutes later he gave me a verbal quote for each phase of the project. He then proceeded to tell me that he did not have any order forms and that he would text me the quote. We verified he had the correct number to text me and he left. That was 3 days ago and I still don't have a quote. I later found out that this guy Cary is a sub the sod farm hires to do installations. If I was the Sod farm I would look for another crew to do installations. We wont be using them..

We bought the sod from "Schuberts Sod farm" last year June 2013, and asked to get it installed. They told us they do not install but they have somebody they use for customer who need sod installed. So the lady gave me the number. The guys name was Kary. I called him and we scheduled for an estimate to get the sod installed. The day the sod came Kary 2 hours later than appointment so I watered the grass on the pallettes a little. He arrived with a bunch of ( in my personal eyes non professional looking crew) well, hate to say it, but they looked "a little special and some of them were special"!!!! Kary dropped of his crew and left and came back 1 1/2 hours later to check on the crew. There was a lot of cursing going on while they worked. Glad my kids were inside so I didn't bother to say something. Just started thinking what did I get myself into, but I still thought well, I didn't hire the crew of craigslist. NO, I hired them because those are the guys "Schubert Sod Farm"recommanded and used. Oh, when they preped the yard they ran over a sprinkler head even though I marked the sprinklers with flags. They didnt take a lot of sand or old grass off the lawn. Come to find out today, that they only added 1 inch of soil. When they dumped the soil onto my drive way I was thinking to myself " mmmhh I dont smell any manure, since I told Kary i need the prep done and need soil + manure, but than I also said well since they are recommanded by Schubert sod farm, they know what they doing. Absolutly wrong, they didn't and now i know because my grass is dying. Well, long story short, this year, the season started and my 12 month old grass is NOT growing like the rest of my neighbors. It grows in patches with a lot of dead spots, some areas grow very thin. 20% is growing some sort of grass and the rest is dead spots. So since I need to get my backyard done, but didnt want Kary and his special crew on my lawn this year again, i called somebody else. While he was measuring the back yard I asked him if he could take a look on my front yard and tell me what's going on. He did and this is the result.......my grass is dying out because they only layed 1-1 1/2 inch dirt instead of 3-6 inches of soil+ manure. He cut out some grass on the edge and it's just sand and nothing else. It's not compacted. Thank you "Schubert Sod Farm" that I wasted $1200 on your grass and your installer Kary. Here is his Number 719-459-6415 I sure will let people know, because that's a lot of money to be wasted and the grass didnt even made it one year. Oh, and in case you want to blame it on " maybe the customer didn't water" sorry but that's not the case because I did water and got the permit. I did water more than allowed after the 4 weeks because I got a warning by the utility company cause I watered out of my allowed days and my water usage was waaaaay to high. Horrible!! I know I donT get a warranty for grassand that's why this needs to be addressed to people. Stay away from Schubert Sod Farm and pleeeeeeeeeeease stay away from their recommanded installers. The grass might have been good, can't say because it got installed wrong, BUT LIKE I SAID SCHUBERT SOD FARM GAVE ME THE NUMBER FOR THE INSTALLER THEY RECOMMANDED,!!!!!!
