We are on a well system. We had been experiencing water pressure fluctuations because the well pump was constantly cycling on and off. After some research on the internet, I thought we might have to replace the well tank (a $600-800 repair). When I called Kunau Drilling, the rep provided me additional troubleshooting steps over the phone. Turns out all I had to do was drain the well tank and check the air valve. Mine needed air, so I pumped in air and we are now back up and running normally. Total cost: $0.00 and about 20 minutes of my time. I really respect a company that is willing to do this. This easily could have been -- at a minimum -- a $100+ service call. The fact that they help you find the cheapest and quickest solution, even though they will not profit from it, convinces me I will call them the next time I have any water supply problems.

I called Kunau Drilling in the early morning because I had been without water since the previous evening.. Even though it was a busy Monday for them, they assured me they could have a repair professional to my home that same day but probably not until about 4:00 pm. Jason called to let me know he was on his way and even arrived a little earlier than promised. He really seemed to know his way around a well pump and did a thorough check for problems. The issue turned out to be the circuit breaker and Jason showed me where it was so I could check it myself in case this happens again. Since he was already in the area, I wasn't charged their travel fee, which I greatly appreciated . I think that goes to show the honesty and integrity of this company and they are who I will call for any well pump problems in the future.

I came home from vacation late on a Saturday night to find I had absolutely no water pressure. After trouble shooting, it became obvious this was not a simple circuit breaker reset. I went to Angie's List and made a service request to Kunau Drilling online. I got a call Sunday morning and Brad came right over. He diagnosed my pressure tank diaphragm had ruptured and I would need the well tank replaced. He could not do that service right then, but he was able to reset my pressure switch and get the water running. That was awesome! We had normal water pressure until he could come back 2 days later and replace the tank. Brad was very professional, efficient, and neat. His quick response minimized the impact of our problem and his timely repair got us back to normal in short order. We highly recommend Kunau Drilling for any well or septic service needs.

In the afternoon, we found we were out of water. After contacting our usual well company, and 2 others, we found that June is a busy month for well companies. None of the companies had people to spare, even for an emergency. The first available appointment was 5 days away. So, we went to Angie's list, and found Kunau Drilling. We called them, and the office took our information and promised a member of their crew would call us. Within an hour, Jason called and said he could come out that night, after he finished up his current job. He showed up, after keeping us informed of his schedule, and then looked into our well system. He figured out it was a blown fuse, even though the fuse looked okay. With a simple replace, our water was back up and running. He then took some time to explain how the fuse could have gone bad the way it did. We were very thankful he came out to help us after working more than a full day on his current job.

The provider came on time and performed the service. He went beyond what we asked him to do by starting the pump, determining the flow rate, and determining the reason it was not working -because if was not hooked up to electricity like we thought it had.

The owner, Tim Kunau, spent multiple phone calls with us explaining the process and discussing options for our well, pump, and valves. They provided multiple estimates for various options and were quick to respond with changes we requested. Mr. Kunau made a site visit to verify accessibility for the drilling rig when we initially contracted and then made a 2nd visit on the day of the scheduled drill to ensure things would go smoothly. Setup took about a half day, drilling about a day, and the post-drilling gravel pack & capping another part of a day. The pump will be installed at a later date. Their estimate of the well depth was right on and the gpm flow is at our decreed limit. They worked with us to leave as many trees in place as possible while still providing the accessibility they needed.

We just bought our house a few months ago, and we had a problem with our well starting around April 22nd where we had no water coming into the house at all for a few days. I sent messages to a few plumbing companies here on Angie's List, and a gentleman from Cornerstone Plumbing recommended calling Kunau Drilling to help us with our trouble. I contacted Kunau with the details of our problem, and Jason was very helpful. He was very professional and kept in touch with me about when he would be able to make it out to help us. He had a small hiccup where he had to have some repair work on his truck, but he let me know about it as well as an estimate on when he would be on his way out to our house. When Jason got a good look at our system, he noted a lot of DIY work that the previous owners had done, and that our well pump was fried... that was an expensive part, but then this is the first time my husband and I have had well water in our home, so it's a learning experience for us. Jason replaced our well pump with one that is supposed to be better quality than what we had, as well as some other minor repair work. He also showed us a couple things we could do ourselves for minor maintenance, such as cleaning the sand separator and changing the cistern pump filter, without voiding our warranty on the well pump. Jason then informed us that we would get our bill in the mail, instead of having to pay up front. All in all, we were very satisfied with the service we received through Kunau Drilling, and I would definitely recommend them to anybody having any well issues!

I called because of a problem with no water to the house at 3 pm on a Sunday afternoon, and the repairman (Brian) was at my house by 6 pm that evening to diagnose the problem. It was discovered that the pump would need to be replaced. The service people I was in contact with were very informative, willing to answer questions, and knowledgeable regarding the cost and time needed to do the work. I was scheduled as the 2nd appointment the next day. The well pump tech arrived (Jason), worked in cold, rain and into the darkness, but got the job completed yet that day. All the people I had contact with were courteous and professional.

Great - drilling a new well next to an existing house creates a mess from the displaced materials, but that's just how it goes. I recommend getting a water filter installed for the first few months, we almost killed a new washer from the silt - which eventually goes away.

Good. Permitting was an issue since we live in Texas. It was two months of picking location, percolation testing, engineering reports and permitting issues before the failied system could be replaced. Kunau helped with this process but the county health deparment was very process and procedure oriented.

No problems with work. However, we did not receive a bill and when we called to inquire, we were told that we were past due. This was our second project with them. They do good work but their office appears to be disorganized as there was also confusion about the start date.
