The service went very well. I just purchased my home about 2 months ago and some of the gutters were not very efficient. I had them replace a gutter with a seamless one to eliminate the leakage. They also repaired a leaking gutter that was not flush with the house because of an addition that was done.

Overall, the contractor did good work. The front office lady, Tracy, was very pleasant and helpful and always tried to get me good (and accurate) answers. They must be a smaller company because often I would ask a question and it would take her a day or two to get back to me because the person with the answers was on the job. As a result, it took several weeks for us to come to agreement on everything that needed to be done. I debated before downgrading them to a B because my issue is something that is probably common with these "buy X amount of service for X dollars". I had already purchased the roof inspection with maintenance and 5 year certication when I asked them about the two other things I needed (shingle replacement and gutter section repair/replacement). There was a gap between the gutter and adjoining side of the house that was letting water run by it. MHEC told me would be $200 for a new gutter and downspout. I decided to see if there were any gutter Big Deals available and discovered one for $99 for $200 worth of work -- and it turned out to be from MHEC. Great! I called them and asked if I could use it -- they said I could but that they would just replace the gutter and not the downspout. To me, this seems a bit squirrly, to give me a 50% reduction on the price ... but also reducing the scope of the work. I ended up doing it because it was worth $99 for me to get that section of gutter replaced but I'm disappointed I wasn't offered gutter only replacement initially and feel like I'm not sure I got my coupon worth. Unfortunantly, I was told about the $200 for gutter and downspout over the phone, so I can't prove they changed the scope of work on me. Like I said, I think this is probably common with this type of coupon, so I didn't judge them too harshly for it and was overall okay with paying $99 for this new section of gutter. However, I would recommend getting a written quote from them for work before buying (or mentioning) the coupon to be sure you are actually getting a discount. My only other complaint is that I had no advance notice of when they would be out to do the work, with an email the day of saying they were on the way. It would be nice to know a day or two in advance when they plan to be there. Though my review seems to focus on the negative, overall my experience was positive and I would consider using them again despite the few issues I noted. As near as I can tell, the work they did was good (I don't go on the roof, so can't say with certainty for that part). I've only had one problem with water going back down the side of the house after the gutter was replaced, and that was during the recent torentail rains that came with all the flooding, so I'm hoping it was just that the gutter couldn't handle the sheer capacity. I'll keep an eye on it.

The staff quickly scheduled me for an inspection. They arrived on time and were friendly and professional. Unfortunately, the roof was in too poor condition to certify.

Mile High Exterior Construction LLC, was great , You actually talk with a real person other places you get a answering machine . I told them what the problem was. We had a downspout that had come out the night before during a really bad rain storm. They came out the next day to repair it during a second rain storm and fixed the downspout. Keep in mind this downspout was 2 stories high so we couldn?t do it our self. We bought a coupon they had for sale and didn?t even have to pay anything extra They even checked my other downspouts at the same time so no more problems. I didn?t even have to be home . We had quite a lot of work to be done on the exterior of our two story, 33 year old house with some of the fascia warping and pulling away from the soffits, some wood window trim getting soft and the gutters starting to rust. We started getting estimates in late May. Mile High Exterior Construction promptly returned our phone call and set up a time for an estimate. Harold, the owner, and his assistant came on time and was one of only two estimators to actually climb on the roof to inspect the fascia and trim to get an accurate accessment of all the wood replacement that needed to be done. We decided to replace all of the gutters on the house so the gutter system wouldn't be piecemeal. We received an estimate 4 days later, just as promised. We decided on MHEC because of their price, and because they were very responsive to all of our questions. To complicate matters, we were also getting the exterior of our house painted and MHEC agreed to do the wood work and take the old gutters down before the painters came and to put up the new gutters when the painters were done. Because of our house was scheduled to be painted on July 24th, LaPrell scheduled the wood work for July 19th and the new gutter installation on 27th. Harold and his crew came out and started the work as scheduled. As the work progressed, it became apparent that more work needed to be done. After the arch trim was taken off from the front porch (wood p***** and settling damage), a gap between the support beam and the overhang of the roof was exposed. Harold assured us that they could fix the problem but it would add more to the cost. We agreed and also requested that a few more fascia boards and wood trim be replaced. They fixed the gap and replaced the extra boards the day before the painters came, just in time. The old wood and gutters were cleaned up from the yard and taken away. After the painting was done, they installed the new gutters in 1 day. If you are looking for exterior work done on your house, we highly recommend MHEC. They are a small, local, family run business that provides honest, old fashioned service. LaPrell (Tracy) responded to all of our phone calls promptly and kept us informed of any rain delays. Harold was at our house everyday that work was done in order to inspect and assist his crew. The wood replacement looks good and the gutters are functioning great. We will not hestitate to call them again if we need more work done.

We contacted Mile High Exterior Const initially about a skylight that had been leaking and causing interior damage to the drywall. They were out the next morning and repaired the leak. We also had them quote us on gutter replacement - very reasonable prices. We were also having our exterior painting done - and MHEC came and tore off the old - waited until the painting was finished - and installed the new ones right away. Very pleased with their services.

Contractor did not complete entire contract scope until I got on the roof and showed him myself the gutters were not clean. Did not clean downspout per contract until I pointed it out. They also should have recommended a 6 inch gutter but installed a 5 inch one instead.

The estimator showed up on time and was very professional. Provided a verbal estimate and said will email both written estimates shortly. I purchased the deal on AngiesList for the contractor the same afternoon. I had to contact the contractor after 3 days to ask for the written estimates again. The following day I was sent a single estimate at a slightly higher cost than the verbal estimate. Once I receive this estimate I immediately called the contractor to schedule the service, I was told by the scheduler that they were working with an insurance company on another line and would call me back shortly. Its been two and a half business days since I called to schedule without a call back.I put a request into AngiesList for a refund and the Deal and called other contractors for estimates. Since I did not have work done by this company I will not rate them on the work and will not give them an F overall, as I do not believe that is fair. However, the lack of responsiveness in trying to schedule work to give them business was ridiculous. I will not be calling these folks back again for any type of service as the lack of response to schedule service is a sire indicator of the type of response you will receive when there is an issue. I can't trust they would hurry to resolve a warranty issue covered by their 5 year workmanship guarantee.

The price was supposed to be $300 and something, but he knocked off $100. I was very happy with him.

They were so great to work with. They returned all my phone calls promptly, were always on time and were generally just very nice people. They came back after the work was done to clarify some questions I had and ended up doing more work at that time. They were superb!

MHEC helped me get a rush job on gutters that I needed replaced as I was selling my home and it was very important that the gutters be done by closing. They were excellent in handling my replacement and did a wonderful job, the gutters look beautiful. I was very impressed with the work they did as well as the price charged for said work.

Harold arrived on time and performed the work quickly and as requested. He and his helper cleaned up after the work and carried away all of the old gutter and flashing. Good work!

Business should not tell you they are coming out and never show up and then contact you 2 weeks later.

I had received an estimate from another company to repair the gutters for over $900. When I asked if that was their lowest price, they offered to replace all the gutters for that price. (They didn't need replacing, though, they just needed to be reattached and sloped.) I called Mile High Exteriors and spoke with a very nice woman. The next day, the gentleman came out to give me my free estimate and confirmed that the gutters were in good shape so I didn't need to spend the $900+. He said he and his wife could do all the work I needed in a couple of hours and we shook hands on his verbal estimate. Several days later, I came home from work and the work had been done! He came by the next day to pick up my check and the final price was exactly what he had told me, no surprises. I am old enough to remember when businesses could be trusted to do what they say, yet experienced enough to know that is not very common anymore. (That's why I joined Angie's list.) It was a pleasure to do business with this company and I would recommend them to anyone.

They were actually the lowest estimate but they just didn't get back to me or follow up with me. They did the estimate right away when they said they would.

The roofing workers were tireless in their efforts despite temperatures in the 90s. They arrived early and left late, putting in long days. They cleaned up the work site at the end of each day. Harold, the owner, overseer, and estimator, was a delight to work with. He's basically a good, honest person! My husband chose his bid, though it was somewhat higher than other bids we received, because he trusted Harold's low key, straightforward style. I highly recommend MHEC! If we had need of any of their other services I'd use them without question!!

This was an excellent experience. Everyone I spoke to and met was a pleasure. Charmina (I hope I remembered and spelled her name right) was extremely helpful and had very good suggestions about the downspout. I highly recommend them.

The service was excellent, quick and professional. Also, we did not feel "gouged" by the price--it was fair and not inflated. We would hire these folks again.

The folks from MHEC were a breeze to work with. They came out to the house promptly and provided a free estimate that was very reasonable (and even called me back to remind me about the extra $100 off coupon on Angie's List). Getting on the schedule was a bit tricky because of all the rain, but once we were booked the crew arrived when they said they would be here, replaced the gutters very quickly and cleaned up and were gone in almost no time at all. It was a very painless process. I would definitely hire them again to do gutter work in the future.

Called MHEC 5/7 to get an estimate on a new roof required by buyer. Talked with Tracy and set an appt. for the next day.Harold came out on 5/8, inspected the roof and gave me an estimate. He came back a couple of days later and inspected some areas I had questions about. Harold met me at the house on 5/13 and we signed the contract. He made a special effort to meet with the buyers to choose the roof color and ordered material the same day. Demolition of old roof began on 5/16 with completion of new installation on 5/19. I talked with Tracy many times over the course of two weeks with questions. She was ALWAYS polite, professional, friendly, and, most of all, helpful. A real pleasure to work with. Harold was also very friendly and professional.

Set up appointment. Owner was on time and professional. His worker later came over to confirm color and go over details. Work will be done in 1 day for a 2500 sq ft home.
