It went perfectly. Brett Miller, the owner, answered our call after hours. He was polite, patient, listened well, professional, asked all the right questions, and offered a possible explanation for the problem based on the description I offered. He showed up on time the next day, made a very quick final evaluation of the problem, provided the solution, and gave a very reasonable price quote. He made the repair in less than 15 minutes. While making the repair, he uncovered a potential root cause of the problem which would entail additional labor to fix (already covered in his hourly labor rate). He made that correction and the door works perfectly. A somewhat complicated job, made simple by a thoughtful, professional locksmith. Hire this person. He is exceptional.

Brett was here on time and performed the work quickly and carefully. He even took special care to make the door look good after it was reconfigured. The door works perfectly and is clearly now made more robust by the upgrade.

Our front door deadbolt locked and wouldn't unlock - totally stuck. I called Brett and he was out the next morning and fixed it on-site. He was able to tell the problem with the deadbolt is actually secondary to the door and hinges, but he was able to fix our immediate problem by adjusting the locking mechanism until we can get the door fixed. I will certainly call upon Brett and Lockstar with any other lock issues we have.

Brett is competent, professional and personable. Price is very reasonable and there was added value in discovering that one lock had once been construction keyed, which was news to me. Responsiveness was very timely both in terms of answering phone and showing up for the job. I would gladly hire Brett again for any job I had that required a locksmith.

Brett was excellent. Incredibly responsive and very professional. Originally hired him to rekey our new home and add some locksets on a few doors. A month later I called him when I replaced a lock with a keyless system and needed help getting the new lock re-keyed. It was just ok. My locks are not completely aligned and they often stick. I expected better.

I called to set an appointment, they scheduled me in within an hour. He quickly made changes and provided me with extra keys. I would definitely use this company again.

He first came to assess the situation. He told us that the door was binding because of a low-quality door set, recommended acquiring a better quality set. He tried to fix the storm door, but was unable to adjust it to make it work. I contacted the manufacturer and they are sending a new part (under warranty). In the meantime, when the new door set came, I notified him and he came back almost immediately to install it. He also rekeyed the new set and the storm door so that one key opens all of them. He was thorough, quick, and professional. He charged $60 for the initial assessment and $90 for the follow-up (about an hour of work). Good price for high-quality work.

A lock cylinder and rekey was completed. Brett was very professional and responsive. He called to let me know when he was on his way. His email response communication was prompt and courteous.
