Hammond Appraisals

Awful. The appraisal by Glenn documented influence from the homeowner and was inaccurate in its details as based on documentation in the MLS, SPD, inspection, and was readily apparent in condition. When I tried contacting the company to better understand the appraisal and how it was put together and respectfully communicate that there were errors and my concern for homeowner influence, Kristin began yelling at me and interrupted so many times that I was unable to finish asking my general questions. I think they overinflated the price, and they don't care. To me, I paid for a service for an accurate appraisal that I understand and is not influenced by the homeowner. Not only did I not receive any of that, but the customer service was abhorrent.

We live in Cincinnati but are buying a house in Denver. Not only did Kristin appraise the property we're considering, she did an in depth analysis of the area and other comparable houses. Her comps were different and more relative than the real estate agents comps. She determined that they were asking too high of a price when considering the square footage of comparable houses in the area. She was a big help to us in getting a lower price on the house.

The appraisal took a few days longer than they said it would, but it was not a problem for us. The appraiser had a hard time finding comps for our type of house.

Contacted Kristin via email to set up an appointment for the appraisal and was contacted within an hour. She had several accommodating days/times available. Kristin was persistent in following-up with realtors for comparable properties in order to gather additional details about the properties to provide the most comprehensive assessment of property value possible. In reading the report it was evident that she performed a lot of research and due diligence. Whenever I contacted Kristin for an update, she responded same day and usually within an hour. I would definitely recommend Hammond Appraisals for your real estate needs. Great job!

Kristen did a thorough and professional appraisal. She had some challenges getting comps. The only negatives were responsiveness and promptness. However, knowing what to expect, I would still call her again in the future. She discounted the estimated cost since there were some delays.

It went very well and resulted in a thorough report. There was some delay in delivery due to difficulty in contacting the relevant parties during the vacation period.

The lady that came and appraised my home was very nice and professional. She knew what she was doing and spent at least an hour and a half looking at my home. She looked at every little detail that would make my home worth more.
