Very accommodating.

It went very well. I had called ahead to schedule appointments and they honored the times and got the work done quickly while I waited. Owner and receptionist up front were very nice and professional but probably more important, the shop mechanics were very good, fast, and knew what they were doing.

They were very professional and demonstrated to me what the problem was and gave me an estimate for the job needed. I agreed to their assessment and asked them to complete the replacement. It was done promptly and has worked great ever since.

Went well - everyting was done as it had been described in the time I was told.

Replaced front brake pads, did not need to replace rear. I knew the rotors were in excellent shape and the mechanic said the same. They probably could have convinced me the rotors needed to be turned but were honest. I like their professionalism and left with a very positive feeling about FAST.

I called FAST to see if they would estimate a single side axel replacement on my front drive nissan sedan, and they indicated an approximate cost of $200-$300. This was in line with other estimates, and I wanted to support a local, non-chain enterprise, so I made arrangements to get my vehicle repaired while I was on vacation for a week (giving plenty of time to complete repairs during a period of time I did not need the vehicle). FAST was professional and the vehicle drop off process was easy. They indicated they would take a look and call me with confirmation of the problem and if they found anything else. They did call a few days later and indicated that in addition to the right front axel, the other front axel needed to be replaced and that the right front wheel bearing needed to be replaced or worked on as well - the service manager said that there was significant play in the wheel. They also indicated that all brake pads needed to be replaced, but that brake pads and service was not critical. I opted for the axels and the wheel bearing work only. Picking up the vehicle was easy and fast - settling with payment over the phone so that I could pick up the vehicle at/after closing was possible. They indicated that the final paper work would be in the vehicle, but it was not. I called a few days later to ask if I could get a copy of the paper work (final bill and documentation of what had been done) and ask a follow-up question if I needed to get the wheels aligned as I seemed to notice a pull to the left. The receptionist said she would check with the service manager and get back to me and make arrangements to get the paper work to me. I did not receive any follow-up. I called again, and was told someone would call me back, and I'm still waiting to get an answer to the alignment question and to get the final paper work. Since they indicated I probably had only about 1000 miles on the brakes left, I checked them a few weeks later to find that the rear brake pads were in great shape (still significant pad left), and the front pads were in ok shape (probably several thousands of miles of wear left my my estimation - not even close to the wear indicators). I won't be doing the brakes for a while, and I'm disappointed they tried to up-sell me to unnecessary work, and quite frankly, I'm questioning if all the axel work was required since I couldn't inspect and confirm their assessment since I was out of town on vacation. When I looked at the brakes (I took all four wheels off, etc.) I noticed that a brake hose/piping clip was missing on the right front side - I suspect that the clip was misplaced or damaged during the process of replacing the axel and wheel bearing work (I know I would take the clip off if I was doing such work) - I will opt to replace the clip myself. Bottom line is that the work performed seems good, the symptoms of a bad ujoint on the right front are gone, and the car runs smoothly, but the overall experience is suspect enough that I will probably not use FAST again and would not recommend them.

July 9th they thought it was sway bar links so replaced. Friendly and helpful - gave me ride home when I left vehicle July 9th. When I returned next day for vehicle, paid and left, it was quickly evident that the noise from the rear was even more prominent so I went right back. They thought noise was from my bike rack at that time. I idisagreed but it was all friendly, I quickly removed the bike rack; they happily went for ride with me and quickly agreed it hadn't been the bike rack. They decided rear struts needed to be replaced and did that the same day - I picked up vehicle the next morning. I think all is good now.

FAST rescheduled my original appointment, then when I showed up on the new day/time (1:00), the receptionist didn't see my appointment and wasn't aware that I had purchased the Big Deal. She said it would take a few hours intead of the 1.5 that was originally scheduled, which I said was fine because I was flexible that day. She said they would call me when finished. At 6pm I still had not been called so I called them and the answering machine was full so I couldn't leave a message. I had to call back 4 times before someone answered. The person I spoke with said that they thought there was an electrical issue with the A/C which was causing it to blow warm air and that they would need to keep it overnight to investigate further. I did not feel like he knew that I had purchased the Recharge Big Deal, so we told him that we didn't want anything other than the A/C recharge performed because we knew we were simply out of freon. The next morning we were told that there was not an electrical issue but a valve leak and that a repair would cost $111. When I asked whether the A/C recharge was performed the receptionist said that it couldn't be done until the leak was repaired, so I asked whether they would apply the $59 already paid to the repair. She said no. We gave the go ahead to do the repair. I am not confident that the recharge service was ever performed, but the A/C was working so some freon was obviously put in. I had read good reviews on FAST before purchasing this Big Deal but I must say I feel like we caught them on a bad day - we will not use them again.

I had no problem. They accepted the coupon without any issues. They did the work. It is kind of difficult to face any problem with oil change unless someone leaves the oil plug off. The price was good and will not get such price. They found a problem with the car and consulted with me & then corrected it, so that was a good thing. The service time was reasonable. I waited for 35 minutes while they did the work.

I went in to get my work done. The desk attendant was being quite rude and never confirmed that I was checked in for an appointment. I ended up waiting and never got the work done.

Really well. Everything was well done, the people were very courteous. We will be back for further service.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was fine. I didn't have any problems. It was very easy to make an appointment. I called a day or two ahead and they were able to fit me right in.

job went great, they even washed the car when done. I had to reschedule due to one of the mechanics not available to work that day. thought they should have offered something for my time.

We paid what we were quoted despite the fact that they realized they way underquoted it. They would NOT LET me pay the extra and insisted it was their mistake . They even washed my car! They also got the car in and out in the amount of time they said it would take. I'm a new customer with 7 cars total between us and our 2 children. We will be using Foreign Automotive for all our cars from here on.

I brought in a vehicle with a check engine light and confirmed they wouldn't charge me unless they found issues or what the cost was. I was skeptical when I brought the car in and there was a sign saying diagnostic testing was ninety some dollars. But true to their word they looked and looked and found nothing wrong and didn't charge me a thing. He figured I repaired it when I reconnected a hose but the light stays on for multiple cycles of turning your car on. Overall very pleased to find an honest mechanic!

They estimated $1400.00 for the job. I was very pleased with their customer service and timeliness.We ended up going with another shop because they bid $1000.00 for same job. It was just the difference in price for a car I'm planning to sell; otherwise I would use this shop again.

My 1994 Mazda Miata refused to start up. I gave Japanese Automotive Specialist a call and they showed up at my house in only a few hours and towed my car to their garage to give me a quote. I have some experience with cars and the quote they gave me was quite good. The car was done in one and a halve day what I thought was very fast. Overall I can very much recommend this place.

Japanese Automotive Specialist is top notch. My wife was so impressed with the service she received she made me go in and meet the owner Mike. Mike walked us thru the repairs performed which answered all my questions. We have lived in many places,and have experienced good and bad. After meeting Mike, driving my car, and FEELING the difference, I know we will only use Japanese Automotive Specialists in the future.
