DMC Services

Mr. Carter was a no show at 9:00 AM on Monday and we didn't receive a phone call. We telephoned him at 9:20 AM. He said that he went to Nebraska over the weekend for a family funeral and while he was gone his property was burglarized and approximately nine thousand dollars worth of tools were stolen. I asked whether he had filed a police report and he said that he had been in touch with law enforcement and his insurance company. I then inquired where that left us as customers. He said that we would have to wait a week or ten days as he was scrambling to obtain new tools and that he had an install tomorrow and the next day. I asked why he was putting us at the end of the line since we were next for service. He said that he could not just move everyone back a day. I told him that's what he was doing to us and this was bad business. He said we could call someone else. I told him that this was not fair and that he was unwilling to delay his installs by a day because he stood to make considerably more money than he would with our line repair. I told him I felt like we were being thrown off the bus. I said that if I was next in line at the supermarket and a new register opened I would be checked out next. I stated that we had already engaged his services and that he was obligated to follow through on all his prior commitments. He became argumentative. I told him that he was basically telling us to: "Go to ****". He said that if that was the way we wanted to look at it that was fine. He told us to go find someone else and hung up the telephone. How this company receives an "A" rating is absolutely beyond my imagination - and tomorrow is going to be almost 90 degrees - oh boy!

It went great and was on time. Gave me some tips on how to help with the upstairs heating issue. Furnace is getting old and needs to be replaced probably in 5 years. Told the builder put in a cheap model but they do last which is good to hear. I will use them again.

Recently moved in with my significant other who had been living in this house for about 5 years. The AC has never worked and they have had trouble getting repair services to give them an attempt to repair without just saying the system needs replaced. Leslie with DMC was able to provide same day service and get our air conditioning running in under an hour. He informed me the system that we had was a pain to work on and when requiring replacement was far more expensive than replacing traditional units. My goal in the service call was to really figure out if the only way to repair the unit was to replace it, or if all other options had been exhausted. Despite the system being outdated and not the best design, Leslie was able to get us up and running without having to replace the overall system.

This was the first time I used Angieand acirc;??s list. I emailed DMC Services, asking a question and was surprised by the quick response, because I was still waiting for other HVAC contractors to call me back two days later. I needed my AC serviced in order to close on a condo, and needed a furnace serviced at my new house. Les showed up on time, performed the service and set up a time for my furnace. I have an old furnace that I am considering replacing, but he said it would probably be fine. I really appreciate the honesty! Itand acirc;??s hard to find good old fashioned honest guys, and there was no pressure to purchase a new one. I will, however, probably be replacing it shortly, because I donand acirc;??t want to take the chance of having to call in the dead of winter, and you can bet I will be calling Les! I have had a lot of work done on my new (old) home, and this is by far one of the easiest repair/service yet. Thanks Les!

Les was awesome! He showed up about 10 minutes early and installed our new water heater in just under an hour. Unfortunately, it was snowing when he arrived, but he took every precaution to insure that he didn't trek snow or water into the house. When he was done installing the new hot water heater, he cleaned up the floors with a towel. He was very considerate, punctual and polite. I will definitely be using his services again in the future.

Les was very punctual and professional both times at my home. He arrived for the initial consultation at the scheduled time. Originally we had planned on only installing AC, but I had Les give me a quote on our 28 year old furnace as well. Les pointed out a few things with our current arrangement as our house humidifier had been improperly installed 3 years prior (it was hooked up to the wrong part of the furnace and to the cold water--both of these errors were confirmed by other HVAC companies that I had out to bid this same job, but only after I pointed them out and asked about it). I never felt pressured in the least bit to replace the furnace (a much bigger and more costly job), nor did I feel pressure to use Les. He had an estimate to me within 24-48hours that was itemized and easy to understand. Les and his son, Dylan, came out to do the installation of the complete Rheem AC/furnace today. Not a single problem. They arrived on time, let me know what to expect, cleaned up after the install, and were very professional. Les walked me through the maintenance of the outdoor unit, when to change furnace filters, threw in a $20 humidifier filter that we had neglected to change for who knows how long, set up our new digital thermostat and gave me my completed Xcel rebate papers in an addressed envelope, ready to be mailed. I would highly recommend using DMC Services for any of your HVAC needs. I intend to continue using Les to upkeep our system and will most definitely recommend him to all of our friends, family and neighbors.

On December 23, my furnace stopped working. I contacted Les at DMC Services in the afternoon and he was at my house at 8:45 the next morning with a new furnace (mine was 37 years old and beyond fixing). By noon I had the old furnace completely removed and the new one installed and working. The quality of the work was very good with only a little pile of soot left on the floor. I was also very impressed that Les came out on Christmas eve and was able to finish the job so quickly as the house was getting cold.

After finding water on my basement floor yesterday afternoon, I emailed DMC Services (Les) last night. I received an email with an hour from him. He was able to come to my home earlier this morning and look at the issue. He determined the leak was in the water heater. We discussed all my options and since my water heater was under warranty. I decided to contact the original installer. While he was there, he also looked at my furance. Overall, He was amazing. He was able to answer all my questions (and I ask lots of questions) . He was very professional and knowledgable. He was quick to respond last night and to arrive this morning. I will admitt I was freaking out when I found the water on the floor. Les was able to ease my mind. I have priced services at other locations and DMC Services is VERY reasonable. Any problems in the future with my water, furance and/or AC, I will be calling DMC Services. I recommend them HIGHLY.

Les was readily available when I called Tuesday morning and showed up mid-afternoon to help with our furnace which had not properly started despite the cool evening. He changed the ignitor, showing me how the prior one was done DIY with a cheap substitute, and installed a manufacturer's approved part. He also noted to me the age of the boiler, our incorrect filter placement and cleaned another part which he said would be the next failure. Les also offered information on Excel energy rebates for replacement furnace and our a/c unit, which we knew is nearly ready to be replaced. Les was pleasant to deal with, clear in his explanations, fair in pricing and happily our furnace has worked as expected since his visit.

Our furnace was suddenly not working and it was getting cold in the house. I tried everything I knew how to do (which is darn little). Found DMC through Angie's List. Leslie came right out, immediately identified the problem and the probable cause, and gave me a few other pointers as well. Great service and a great guy. Thanks! I am no longer shivering.

DMC Services was great to deal with. I can honestly say that I have never dealt with an HVAC company where I thought the service was good or the price was fair. Not so anymore! Les Carter came out on short notice. He was on time, pleasant and professional. He quickly diagnosed the problem and had the replacement part ready to go. One trip. 30 minutes. Done. Extremely fair price. I have dealt with other larger companies in the past that treated me like I was lucky to have them at my house. They didn’t have the right parts on their truck (even though it was a common issue) and they charged outrageous prices. I would highly recommend Les Carter and DMC Services whenever you have HVAC needs!

Our furnace was making a terrible racket, we thought the motor was going out. We called DMC Services first thing Monday morning. Les and his son were here promptly before 1pm to diagnose the problem. Les is very knowledgeable, we only needed to replace the blower wheel. Since our patio home was a comp model, we didn't choose our furnace, therefore, the standard model, Goodman, was installed. Les explained that it didn't have the universal replacement parts, so they had to drive to Denver to pick up the specific part. They skipped lunch and returned quickly to install the new part. They also checked out our AC and were finished by 2:30pm. Both he and his son were courteous, pleasant and efficient, we even got a senior discount! We feel totally confident recommending DMC Services to our neighbors and will certainly call them if we have heating or air conditioning issues in the future.

Leslie Carter was incredible. The last company that repaired it made a mess of it. I don't know the exact (mess) but it looked a mess. He took all the wrong parts out, put the correct one in, turned the breaker on that it had tripped and was done in less than an hour. I watched as he made the repairs. He talked to me about everything he was doing as he did it, and showed me the damaged parts. Leslie was such an incredible and nice person. It was easy to tell he was an honest person. I work in HR and am pretty good at reading people. Then he handed me the bill. The last company that charged me for the (mess) charged me over $1000.00. My bill was less than $200.00. Of course I tipped him! I would use his company again and again. I will never have to search for a repair service again! DMC Services is the only place I will ever use again!

Mr. Carter was availalbe immediately to troubleshoot why my A/C wasn't working. It turns out all it needed in the short term was to replace a burned out compressor wire, but he gave me information as to why it could've burned through and information on replacement should that be necessary. This was the second time I've used DMC Services, the first time was to service our A/C at the beginning of the summer, and both times he was friendly and professional, and definitely knows what he's talking about. Without question I'll use him again.

We called DMC on a Thursday morning (during a very hot week) when we noticed a strong burning smell coming through the air ducts when the a/c was on. He said he'd try to fit us in that day, but if not, he could come first thing on Friday morning. He wasn't able to come on Thursday, but called mid-afternoon to let me know. He showed up promptly at 8am on Friday and quickly replaced the motor. He was very professional and I highly recommend DMC for HVAC needs.

We were not home but he answered all our questions by telephone. He showed up when he was supposed to & finished in a timely manner. He discovered a faulty valve & replaced that at the same time. We were thrilled. A certified plumber that was at the house later said that whoever installed the new water heater did an EXCELLENT job. That was very good to hear.

I called several companies, and DMC was the only one willing to come out the day of the call. With temps predicted in the mid-90s for the weekend, I was thrilled. They even showed up earlier than they stated, calling about 15 minutes prior. They fixed the problem quickly and let me know of an alternative solution (which was much more expensive - didn't try to oversell, just let me know that the "fix" would not be long-lasting). I appreciated the info. I have had this service done in the past by another company and was charged around the same amount, so I don't think I was charged extra for same-day service.

They did great! They were prompt and efficient and did everything I asked for!

After comparing the local Longmont/Niwot competition for a new A/C, Les (owner of DMC Services) beat all of the competition. Les and his son arrived on the exact day and time agreed too. I assumed an entire day of work to haul away an old A/C with a brand new Rheem system. I also had him replace the old hundifier and thermostat. In addition he also installed a "whole" house attic fan. Les and his son were courteous and professional, getting the entire job done in about five hours. He was a perfectionist, never "cutting" corners, and always willing to explain his actions when prompted by myself or my wife. Between his overall price and the final product, the results exceeded my expectations. He is now my A/C and furnace person. I would highly recommend his services to others.

I asked for a basic quote for an approximate size furnace without any special adders such as venting and whatnot. I received a rude response saying he didnt run his business that way. What's wrong with simply stating he couldn't quote it and leave it at that? Very, very odd. I'm glad I screened this guy out.

Les was very prompt and explained to me that the previous owner of the home was using the wrong filters for the furnace. He said that the filters would actually make my furnace run worse because they didn't catch any of the particles and they cost more than filters I could pick up at a hardware store. Les was very fast and thorough and I appreciate his feedback on my furnace as a new home owner.

I purchased a Deal via Angie's List. Leslie called me promptly to set up the appointment. He arrived right on time and was very efficient doing the inspection. I appreciated very much that he reminded me about using the Recirculate feature on my thermostat as an energy saver. And, I believe he is an honest man. He originally told me about the cost of adding freon so I expected that additional fee. But when he arrived and checked the freon level, he said it took very little and there was no extra charge. !!! I definitely will call Leslie for any future heating or A/C needs and I highly recommend him.
