He quickly identified it as toggled circut-breaker. He could have easily found a reason to do something else and pad the bill. Instead, all he billed us for was the trip out.

Les and I started emailing in March when I requested that he look at my (2) furnaces for possible AC installation. When it was determined that my front furnace possibly needed replacing, I opted for the less expensive evaporative cooling option. Les looked around until he was able to locate the perfect unit for me , along with my request for a digital thermostat. Les told me he could put me on the schedule for the installation the first Sat in June. We spoke the day before to confirm the time. Les arrived on time (EXTREMELY important to me) and completed the job in a VERY professional and timely manner. He did a thorough job and checked all of his work, including the thermostat before he left. He also took me outside to show me how the faucet was adapted and how it's use had changed somewhat. He had also put down a drop cloth under the new opening in the den area, and swept and cleaned up that area before he left. Les was exceptionally polite and professional! I plan to call him in the fall to drain and close up the unit

He came right away and shut it off for me. He went above and beyond to come and get that turned off.

Commerical rooftop - Heat wouldnt work. DMC responded to call and found blown fuse in unit. Checked unit out and didnt find any other issues. replaced fuse and unit has been working fine.

It was a very positive experience working with Les. He was friendly, on time, and professional. The disposal was easily fixed and he provided advice on how to address the other issues we're planning to address at some point. Les also educated me on how to tend to some of the simple plumbing issues on my own.

Les initially came out to service our old (27 yrs) furnace which was not lighting properly. He adjusted it and said it was typical of an older furnace starting to fail, and suggested we think about replacing it in the future. He gave us bids on several different models, including a high efficiency furnace that would allow us to get a federal tax credit. We decided within a week to replace the old unit. I called him on a Monday and he came within 48 hours to help us determine whether our house could accommodate the flue requirements for a high efficiency furnace (it wouldn't without a great deal of modification). By Friday of the same week he was there to install the furnace. He spent about 5 hours on the job, and installed a new 80% efficiency furnace for $2640, and a humidifier. The cost of the humidifier was for labor only at $199; he gives a free humidifier with installation of a new furnace or AC unit. He did a thorough job, cleaned up a very dirty mess from our old furnace, and even went the extra mile to make sure we were happy with the way it all looked aesthetically.

Les showed up on time and was great to work with. Walked me through the issues with my furnace, gave me some tips on maintenance, and had it all back to working like it should in 30 minutes.

He adjusted the flame slightly to make it more efficient, checked that it was drafting well, and made sure that there was no chance of carbon monoxide. The guy was very nice, prompt, and professional and the price was very good. He did everything right and cleaned up any mess that he made.

I was pleased with their service. The service was very straight forward and to the point. I give them all A's for their service. I will continue to use them in the future.

It went great except that I was not informed on the phone call about the nitrogen possibly being used($20 more) even though I told Les that the unit was very dirty. But it was still much less than other companies had estimated.

Our furnace was not coming on. My husband had looked into the problem as far as he could. I called Les and told him the details. He offered to come in a half an hour, and I scheduled for him to come in the afternoon. He showed up on time and gave me his business card. He looked at the furnace, which involved going into our crawl space under the house. He said that my husband had been close to solving the problem. He fixed it and tested it to make sure it was working. He also gave us suggestions on the types of furnace filter to use. The price he quoted on the phone was the same that he charged on the invoice. I would use him again.

Excellent! We purchased a home that needed substantial HVAC maintenance work. The existing furnace and venting was installed incorrectly and was in need of major repair. Les quoted the job with equipment and materials that matched our budget and expectations. He installed the equipment per the schedule he promised and did a great job cleaning up afterwards. His bill matched his quote and he was very professional. He kept me informed throughout the job and asked questions as needed. I would use him again for HVAC work.

We were very satisfied with Les's professionalism and work. He listened carefully to what we wanted to do, offered options, offered advice on the bigger project of which his work was a part and measured everything for a detailed estimate. He was ontime, and communicated by phone or email when it was warranted. We wish we had known him for projects we had done 2 years ago.

Les coordinated a crane to lift the unit onto the roof and remove the old unit. (Actually 4 "deserted" old units left by other owners that hired less honest contractors; that had been housing swarms of pigeons) He also completed the full install exactly as he said he would, and did so in the time frame that he said he would. Les is a what you see is what you get kind of guy and he looks hard working, clean and honest. He is a small business owner and thus you don't get the neat receptionist answering the phone at a desk that has no idea what you are actually talking about; instead you get the actual guy in the field that will be performing the work... I like that. Businesses like this should be endorsed and supported. Through the years I have dealt with a variety of contractors because of the rentals that we have and I can say that unlike most, Les does NOT leave you feeling like you were taken advantage of, NOR that the quality of the job is questionable. For those of you closer to Boulder, Les was very concerned with the efficiency of his install and it seemed to bug him (more than me) that this particular install had some restrictions based on the age of the building that prevented some of the newest features from working the best they can. This, again, is just a demonstration of the quality of the install that he is striving for. I would absolutely recommend Les to anyone that is looking for someone that is going to tell you like it is, charge you what he should, and install it the way it should be installed.

Very well. Les told me he would be here between 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM. He called at 10:55 AM to tell me he was just leaving a job and would be here in 20-25 minutes. He was here within 20 minutes. I thought he was just going to look at the condenser unit as I had told him that was the problem. Instead, Les inspected the thermostat, the AC unit in the basement, and then went outside to look at the condenser unit. He told me what the problem was and the things I should look for should I have problems in the future. He also recommended that the condenser unit should be inspected and cleaned, if necessary, at regular intervals to avoid ruining the condenser. He also recommended using a different kind of filter that was more efficient for the AC unit I have. He noticed that there used to be a humidifier on the unit in the basement. I told him that there was one but my late husband took it out due to numerous problems. He offered a suggestion for a new and different kind of humidifier that was available. He told me a humidifier would be good because of the hardwood floors. He gave me a pamphlet and put a price on it for the unit and installation. He told me if I was interested in a humidifier to call him. I did not feel pressured at all to buy, i.e., there was no "hard sell" tactic used. As a widow who lives with my cousin who is also a widow, we try to fix things on our own but when we know we're in over our heads, we call for service. I never felt Les tried to take advantage of this. I felt he was trying to help by offering suggestions that we could try before having to call for service.

It went fine although he managed to chew me out a bit for not changing the furnace filter. A bit unprofessional in his approach with this.

We called for a second opinion on replacing our furnace because with the opinion from another company, we were left with an uneasy feeling. Did my homework for the 2nd opinion and decided to call DMC. So glad we did. He came out in a very timely manner and was no "slick Willie" like the first guy, just lying to us to get us to buy a new furnace. He showed us exactly how the first guy lied to us, charging us for services he didn't do and stating that our furnace was leaking lethal gas when he never checked it. DMC checked it and it was fine. He took a long time to look everything over while we were there and even showed us how to do the job that the other repairman said he did and didn't (clean the ignition). He taught us a lot about furnaces and we felt completely pleased with the service and the integrity of the owner. We even found out that he charges half of what the other guy charges. His replacement cost for a furnace, same exact model, was hundreds less. When we go to replace the furnace, we know who we'll call!!

He was very professional and gave me a tip about a different furnace filter to use that was less expensive than what I using but of the same quality. I definitely will use this business again.

Les was punctual for the appointment, he was the third company I had called to do the service during the weekend and the only one that had no problem coming over on Saturday morning without charging me an outrageous extra fee. I was having problems with my furnace working intermittently and tripping a circuit breaker. Les was quick to diagnose the problem and explained that the part needed cleaning periodically, since this is the first time I have problems with this furnace, he showed me where and how to clean it. When the breaker tripped while servicing, he immediately figured out that it might be a problem with the switch, fixed it and the furnace is working properly now. I will definitely recommend his services and now I a have someone to call for any future services if needed. There is a $20 fixed charge for truck operating expense in his bill.

Les was easy to work with, I called him in the morning and he was there by 10 and finished with the repair by 10:45. He was helpful and good at explaining what he was doing and things for us to think about in maintaining our heating, humidifier and air cleaner. The one thing I was not pleased with is that he charged a 'Truck/Operating Expense charge of $20 in addition to the service charge of $85. This was not disclosed when I asked what the service fee was. I noticed it after I he had left when I was checking my math (I thought there was an addition problem when I came up with $140 and the invoice was for $160). Being upfront goes a long way with the professionalism score.

Wonderful. Les showed up within five minutes of the appointment time. He cleaned up after himself and offered me lots of good advice as to how I could make my furnaces last longer. He was really terrific. Very professional.

I was able to schedule an appointment for the next day. I expected that it would be necessary to replace the garbage disposal. However, in 15 minutes I heard the disposal running. He had been able to remove the object very quickly with no damage to the disposal. He had completed the entire job in 20 minutes.

Set appointment. Showed up prompt. Was the lowest bid we received (we got 6 bids). After he quoted the price, I mentioned the Angie's List coupon. DMC stated that if they had knew I was going to use the coupon, he would have quoted me a different price. Hmmmm. While here DMC said that they did not need to pull a permit in order to save me money, but they would if I really wanted to. Hmmm. Since a permit only costs $100 or so, not much money saved on a $3000 plus project. After DMC left, I contacted them telling them I thought they should honor the coupon and that I wanted a permit pulled. I rec'd a very nice email back suggesting I use someone else, which I did. DMC can spin it anyway they want, but a coupon is a coupon. In fact, the back of their business card has a coupon printed on it also. Can you imagine going to a store, picking out an item and when you get to the checkout, you are told that since you are using a coupon, the price will be more??? On the positive side, they showed up on time, and responded to emails quickly, professionally, and were friendly enough, as was I.

Called DMC Services because our furnace wasn't working properly. He was at our house about an hour later. An hour after that everything was fixed.

Very well - the repair and visit took about 5 minutes and the furnace works very well!
