Called Thursday morning and he was able to make an appointment for 8:00 the next morning which was convenient for me.Showed up precisely at 8:00 Friday.He is an expert in the brand of our old furnace (Rheem) and a dealer.He explained the benefits of purchasing a new furnace compared to repairing the old one:Cost of repair was significant compared to cost of new.New furnace would be more efficient and save us money every year compared to old furnace.New furnace is safer (forced venting, etc.) than a 35 year old furnace! He got the new furnace in an hour and completed the installation in another 2 hours.He explained how the new auto fan re-circulation system would even out dead spots and save additional money. Very professional! Would highly recommend.

Don't go anywhere else! Les came in and took care of everything. He arrived exactly when he said he would, gave a very reasonable quote, installed a new high efficiency AC unit, and followed up. I thought it would take all day, but they were in and out within 5 hours and did a lot more work than they quoted me. Les helped fill out all the Excell rebate paperwork and gave advice on how to maintain our AC unit. We couldn't be happier and would recommend them to everyone.

We had Les over to help us with our water heater in the fall, so we called him right away when our furnace stopped heating only days before an entourage of guests were scheduled to arrive for the Christmas holiday. Les did some troubleshooting and narrowed down the potential source of the problem. Starting with the least expensive repair/replacement first (which we appreciated) and moving up from there, we gradually ended up with a new gas valve & switch plate relay system, as well as a digital thermostat. It took a few trips to get the necessary parts and two return service calls before it was operating correctly, but we were grateful for Les's responsiveness and patience with our unit, which Les admitted was giving him more trouble than most of his service calls! After the last call, he stayed for several cycles to ensure the system was firing correctly and even programmed our new thermostat and provided us with a brief tutorial on it's use and recommendations on how best to utilize it to conserve energy. He's definitely our go-to guy for all of our HVAC needs!

Len did the service the same day and I was really happy with the work.

We had a house full of guests coming in that afternoon and were in a panic to have our hot water heater repaired before their arrival! We called ten or so local plumbing companies from Angie's List and Les was the most responsive. He even offered to try walking us through a quick fix over the phone based on the indicator lights to "save us a service call fee." When that didn't fix the problem, Les said he could take a look and was there within 2 hours. He immediately recognized the problem...a wire had been jostled loose on the control panel. He checked a few other things just to make sure, then got it running again. I expected that to be the end of it, but Les insisted on waiting a few minutes at least to make sure it was running okay. While he was waiting (and to at least justify the service call fee, in his words), he offered to take a look at our furnace. We have a Rheem, for which he happens to be a dealer. He opened the air trap and immediately identified a horribly filthy air filter that was not only way over due to be changed, but also installed totaly wrong! After explaining the correct way to maximize the life of our Rheem unit, he politely suggested I give my husband a "slap on the wrist" for neglecting our furnace. He replaced the filter on our basement and 2nd floor furnace (equally as neglected, I might add) for a modest charge per filter. As luck would have it, my husband came home before Les was done, so he was able to give him that slap on the wrist himself. In the end, we all had a good laugh and my husband accepted his scolding and promised to stay on top of the maintenance of our furnace. Needless to say, Les identified us as "potential future customers" and placed his sticker on both units :) I would definitely recommend his services and will use him in the future, but hopefully not for a new furnace anytime soon...

We had been without central cooling in a large split level home for 2 miserably hot summers before we finally had the means to replace the 30+ year old broken A/C unit that was installed when the house was first built. We had several HVAC companies come look at the broken unit and found that the install was going to require moving the physical location of where the new unit needed to be installed, resulting in having to run new lines through the ceiling of a finished basement, and out of the side of the house. After obtaining several quotes from companies and individuals that were unpleasant to deal with, we read the rave reviews for DMC services. I received a call back from Les within 20 minutes of leaving a message, and had an appointment scheduled for him to come out the next day. He was extremely professional and easy to work with and did a fantastic job, and actually left the basement cleaner than it was before the install! The overall job and work done exceeded my already high expectations. I was very satisfied with the quality and affordability of the equipment, and have been pleasantly surprised at my low my energy bills. And he even made sure that the rebate forms were properly filled out to ensure I would get my rebate from the energy company. Outstanding work, and equally outstanding customer service!

We just moved into a new home and wanted to confirm that the A/C was properly serviced and operating correctly. We scheduled an appointment directly with Les the owner. On the day of appointment, about 3 hours before the scheduled time, Les called us before our appointment to reschedule due to a major emergency job. He then arrived on time per re-scheduled appointment and introduced himself. Started with an inspection of the house vents and air returns. Inspected inside blower unit and replaced the air filer as it was dirty. Confirmed operation of blower unit and thermostat. Inspected outside condenser unit and refrigerant level. Confirmed that no further maintenance was necessary at this time. Very courteous, professional and thorough.

Punctual, responsive, replace low quality unit with much higher ranked airconditioner, checked worked, changed filters and had to build a special sheet metal fixture to hold filter properly.

Needed to replace an old, inefficient air conditioning unit and replaced an equally old and inefficient furnace at the same time. Solicited multiple bids. DMC was the lowest, but not by a dramatic amount. What won me over is the fact that I was dealing directly with the owner, Les, all the way through. He is able to keep his prices down because his overhead is lower, but the real benefit to me was his very rational and down to earth approach. While the others pushed top of the line solutions (with top of the line cost) Les was more pragmatic. His cost-benefit analysis convinced me that a lower cost solution would still be dramatically more efficient than the ancient equipment we had and that the gap between this solution and the very high end was not that great in terms of efficiency. Dealing with the owner is a plus, both on the scoping side and the installation side. Les is very organized and punctual. He started the project first thing in the morning and was done by mid-afternoon. The air conditioner worked great right off the bat, a good thing since it was 95 degrees that day! He came back the next day and ran the furnace in a start up test and filled out the paperwork for rebates from Xcel and others. I strongly recommend DMC Services.

I chose DMC services because of the many positive reviews on Angie's list and was glad I did. Les came to my home to perform a tune-up on my 5 ton central air conditioning system. Due to the recent cool weather, he had to postpone this visit several days waiting for warmer weather, so that he could get accurate readings on my system performance and line pressures. He actually called and was available a half hour before the scheduled 3:30 appointment time on the day of his visit. His diagnosis was that my R-22 Heil system had a faulty condensor unit that would need to be replaced (along with the interior evaporator unit since R-22 systems are no longer available and the new units operate at higher pressures). He gave me two options. He could add coolant (which was a temporary fix) or he could minimize the charges ($105 for service call) and just give me an estimate. I opted for the temporary fix (adding R-22 coolant) which gives me time to get multiple estimates and schedule the future installation at my convenience without suffering if the weather gets significantly warmer. In the course of adding the coolant, he let me know that he would recommend a 4 ton unit instead of a 5 ton unit due to the limited return air flow in my home and the impact on efficiency. He gave me lots of advice as well as a very reasonable estimate for the replacement unit before he left. I will not be surprised if I choose him for the future installation of the new unit.

After joining Angie's List to find the right person to install central air in our home, we met Les. We tried on our own at first and we were very unimpressed. Les was very professional, punctual and thorough. What I appreciated to most was his honestly up front during the estimate visit. He was full of advice even if we did not go with him. You don't find that all that often anymore so even if the price was at the high end of our quotes, we were going with him. Oddly enough, his price was hands down the best. We took advantage of the humidifier deal offered and we were in business. Once the work started, it was discovered that my home is an electrician's nightmare. No problem for these guys, they even fixed some things in order to make my home safer. I am sure they didn't dream that they would be here for nearly 7 hours but they stayed until the job was done RIGHT. I would, will and DO recommend Les to all my friends and family for their heating and cooling needs. I will never use another company again!

I liked his availability and professionalism. He talked me through everything that he was going to do. When he wanted to show something he would call and ask somebody else if he was on the right track. He did not assume to know everything.

We had our furnace quit working on Wednesday evening during a very cold spell and I called Les on Thursday morning and he was out to our home in about an hour. It appeared that our board and motor would both need to be replaced. We were given the option of replacing the bad pieces or buying a new furnace and we opted to spend the money to replace our 15 year old furnace. Les was out first thing on Friday morning to replace our new furnace. His responsivness and overall work ethic are highly commendable. Very nice to do business with Les.

Les was professional and courteous from the first call. He was able provide an over-the-phone quote for the services needed and come within a few days of calling. Les was actually early to the appointment and called to make sure that this was OK, and it was. He was very knowledgeable about our furnace and took the time to explain how it all worked since I was new to gas furnaces. He even explained how our Aprilair air filter and Honeywell humidifier worked with our system and demonstrated how to replace both filters. He was thorough and swift and cleaned up after his work in a professional manner. Overall, we are very satisfied with Les and would not hesitate to call on him again.

First off an appointment was made giving an amazing half hour time period for arrival instead of the usual "sometime between noon and five routine". Second, he arrived exactly at the time promised. His work was thorough, he explained the problem clearly, and he had the needed replacement thermostat in his truck saving a second visit. Mr Carter was very professional, provided options, cleaned up his work, and was quick. I had heat and was able to go back to work in an hour.

Les returned my call right away and offered to come out the same day but due to my schedule we made an appt. for the following day. Les did call before he came and asked if he could come a little early and I really liked that. The worked was performed in a timely manner and Les took the time to show and explain to me why my heater was not working. I will defiantly be using this company again.

We called him based purely on his excellent Angie's List reviews and close proximity to our rental. We will definitely consider hiring him to service our own home as well. Les was very friendly and knowledgeable, and arrived on time. Fortunately the mess was not so big as to cost extra, so his standard fee covered it and the servicing did not take long at all. He was very upfront about cost over the phone when I made the appointment.

I had no prior experience with Les and DMC Services. I contacted DMC purely based on the Angie List recommendations. I was not disappointed. The recommendations were right on target. I called Les at 1pm on Thursday, 9/2 and he was able to be at my house Friday, 9/3 at 8am. Within 15 minutes he described to me the problem in detail and replaced the bad parts and had the unit up and running. He took time to describe to me how to troubleshoot / diagnose future problems.! Absolutely outstanding service that, by the way, also charged me far, far below what I was quoted from a local Boulder competitor. I recommend DMC very highly.

I originally called Les to come out for an estimate and at the last minute I had to cancel due to an emergency. It was not a problem at all and we rescheduled for a later date. Les was prompt and did not waste a moment's time determining the estimate. He appeared extremely knowledgeable and experienced - this was demonstrated in his description of the unique things he would need to do in order to install, vent and drain the new furnace in my crawlspace. I had received several estimates from other contractors prior to Les' and had learned quite a bit about the installation and the types of furnaces available. During the estimate I had to ask a few questions that I would not have known to ask had it not been for the other estimates I received - I would suggest Les offer as much information during his estimates as he can - such as the type of furnace offered and how it functions (for example, a 2-stage vs a single stage and how they work, why you would need a condensate pump and how it works). I called Les on numerous occasions with additional questions after his estimate and he never seemed disturbed by my calls or questions and answered them so that I understood. During installation he took care to ensure my carpet and floors were kept clean and undamaged and I think he took only one break for lunch! He works extremely hard. When an unforeseen additional cost arose - he did not charge me and ate the cost himself. He prepared all the tax refund paperwork I needed and explained the submission instructions to me. Although the cold weather has not arrived yet and I cannot yet comment on the short or long term function of the furnace it appeared to run quietly and smoothly upon testing. He showed me the new humidifier, how it works, and demonstrated its operation. He also explained where all filters were and when to clean/change them and gave me an extra humidifier filter. My overall feeling about Les is that he is hard-working, no-nonsense and very honest, and knows his trade. I need to have a gas line installed soon in the crawlspace and I will certainly call on Les for the installation!

My initial call to DMC was for a tune up and check up of my air conditioner on 06/22. The tune up was completed on time and I was charged $75.00. All seemed to be in order. On 7/1 the a/c stopped blowing cool air. I called Les to advise. He quickly came back and discovered that the capacitator was not working. It appeared to have perhaps been blown by a power surge. It may or may not have been related to the turnoff switch that was installed by Xcel. Les replaced the capacitator at a charge of $159. Everything works fine now.

Les arrived on time, appointment was quick, efficient, and I'm happy with the service. He gave me some hints to avoid needing service calls in the future.
