The process couldn't have been any smoother! First of all we went through Costco to get a quote. Costco hires Lennox dealers. The rep was very professional and confident about their products. He wasn't pushy but full of information and answered all our questions. Then we got a second quote on our own from a reputable dealer with good quality products. Their rep was also very professional and knowledgeable about their products. The quote amounts were VERY similar. So that's when we decided to go with Costco/Lennox because here were the perks we got: (1) 10 year parts and labor warranty, lifetime heat exchanger plus 10 year compressor warranty vs a 5 yr warranty with the other quote from a competitor (2) 2% kickback of the purchase for being a Costco Executive member and (3) 10% Costco cash card. The Costco kickback and cash card gave us approx $1700 to use for future Costco purchases which we otherwise would not have had. PLUS because of the level of furnace we bought we got a $400 check from Xcel. We will be getting $800 from Xcel this summer when we start using the A/C. It was a good time to buy as far as Xcel benefits goes. The Lennox installers were on time, VERY professional and explained every detail as they went along. They were quiet while they worked. They respected my floors and walls by covering the floors and stairs with drop clothes and being careful transporting anything and everything up and down the stairs being mindful of the walls. We had recently had our interior walls painted and I did not find one mark on them. So far we've only used the furnace and the quality of the furnace is unbelievable compared to what we had before. Even heat throughout the house and the furnace fan is very quiet. This is one large purchase that we've been very happy with in a long, long time. We would recommend them to our family and friends.

When they come out on Saturday, it will be the 3rd time out to fix things, not counting the install day.1st: when they installed the water heater, they didn't have the proper parts to install a fire ring around the flue. So, had to shuffle a Saturday around to make their window. It's done, but I would have done a better/cleaner job.2nd: Andrew was great and when he came out to trouble shoot why my furnace and A/C wouldn't come on, he informed me that the wet switch on the evap cooler had tripped. The reason it tripped was that water was backing up into the system and shut it down. He did what he could with what he/I had to fix the issue. The reason it tripped was that the drain pipe was pitched up and not down, so that water would have a hard time getting out. He cut the drain pipe to drain the water out, placed the pump as low as he could to help, and then I gave him 2 pavers to set on the pipe to help hold it down to drain. He also informed me that he would pass this along to install to get another tech out to fix the problem and that they would give me a call to set up a time. So, after I called them 10 days later to follow up on my issue, then they want to be proactive. Turns out they knew they needed to contact me and fix it, just never bothered with it. The first window they give me was on a weekday morning. I've already been inconvenienced by having to track them down and the other two times they came out. I then get sometime in the evening as a window. I'm sorry, but when is and quot;eveningand quot;? That was followed up by a and quot;when they get the other install completedand quot;. It took my two installers 9hrs to complete mine. So, where does that put me? A customer that has already paid for an install, and can't seem to get it actually completed. So now, I need to rearrange a Saturday. My window if fine as far as time goes. But how long will it take to fix the issue that shouldn't of been there from the start, and the City Inspector missed? The only time I will use Cooper is the first year that all is under warranty.
Description of Work: Seemed to have failed at providing install team with proper parts and knowledge. The fact that a drain line is pitched uphill, (reason for 2nd review), and techs will be out for a 3rd time.

I had a great experience with Cooper. The Comfort Care specialist, Blake was very thorough and helpful. The technicians came on time (called ahead like they said). The technicians, Deyon and Adam were very nice and courteous. They explained everything very carefully and made sure that we got exactly what we wanted - like placement and pipe runs. They made sure we were satisfied. They were clean and left without a trace! I would highly recommend this company.(note: the work was not performed at address listed for me)

NOTE: The above ratings are not for the HVAC team. They get all A's. The ratings are strictly for the water heater / plumbing issues. While the salesman was filling out paperwork, he made it a point to write down a plumber + 1 and an electrician + 1 because of the existing furnace issues and for swapping out the water heater. The HVAC installers showed up on time and were very polite. I helped them unload the truck and get things inside the house. While the furnace is being worked on, the electrician shows up and spends an hour to complete his work. During this time, the plumber shows up. I show him around and leave him to do his work. Apparently he was just there to drop parts off (?). I ask the HVAC installers what was up. They give me the run down that he was not scheduled and that would need to be scheduled. They heard my concerns and relayed it back to the service manager. I was told that he would be on his way back out here to do the install. When he shows back up it was like I kicked his dog. Proceeds to inform me that it can't happen today because it is not scheduled. So I talk to the service manager and politely inform her that I am oh so unhappy, she says that she can try to get another plumber that is off today out there, they could send a plumber out on Monday or they could ask the HVAC guys that were there to install the AC / fix the furnace issues to take care of it. I told them that if their HVAC folks were qualified to do it, then fine as we cannot waste yet another day on this. I don't know about everybody else, but it's tough enough to get last minute time off. What's worse, this has been set up for a month now, so it's not like it was a last minute emergency where there would be more potential for this type of issues. I then proceeded to inform her that if everything does not pass inspection, that the feedback paperwork will not be pleasant. Also let her that COSTCO would hear about this as well. That is one of the primary reasons we went with Cooper, because COSTCO is known for the tough and stringent product evaluation. So, shortly there after, my salesman calls me. Says he is getting phone calls from the office about the plumber being thrown off the job. Funny, as we were trying to GET the plumber to show back up - so first they don't schedule this correctly then when we bring it up, we're responsible and are throwing people off the job? He apologized up and down saying that he does not know where the ball was dropped at, but acknowledged that it was. So, 8+ hours later (HVAC is still not done) I'm starting to get cranky. I truly believe that if the plumber was scheduled or could squeeze me in for 3hrs or so, I would have heat in my house right now because the HVAC crew could have focused on doing the job they were there to do vs. having to scramble to do someone else's job. Oh and the job is not finished. There needs to be a fire stop ring around the HWH flue to pass inspection. So, because they did not schedule a plumber to do the job like they originally said they would, we have to make sure we are available again to have someone come out and finish the job. At this point I just hope that everything lasts me for years to come because no matter how much homework I do, it seems like I can't win with contractors.

Mr. Cooper spent a large part of his day tracking down the facts about what happened with his installer. He even called the Mid America Heating and Cooling to get their take on things. In the end he tried to do the right thing. So I have upped my review of their company.
Description of Work: Mr. Cooper followed up on my complaints from before. He seemed sincere in wanting to make things right and offered to pay the labor for the second company I had come in. Plus he is refunding the labor on his technician's work. I really appreciated that.

I explained to the tech that since I have allergy/sinus/migraine issues, I would like to go ahead and have the canister replaced, since I did not want to be without humidification in the house. I paid for the service call, as well as the cartridge and scheduled a spring a/c tune-up for May 5. The service has been cancelled three times previously, and today they called and said they did not even have the canister in, and once again cancelled service on me. They have scheduled service now for 7AM Sunday, and the scheduler has said that she will call me by end of day to confirm if the part came in today.I requested to speak with a supervisor, but not surprisingly no one is available.I feel that the techs they have working for the company are helpful and professional, and I have been satisfied with their performance. Dealing with the company, and getting one of the techs to come out and perform service that has been paid for, has been the problem. Apparently, unless you pay them a monthly fee upfront, they don't really care about providing any sort of service to you. After I receive the service that I have ALREADY PAID FOR. I will not be using this company again.
Description of Work: I had a filter warning come on for my humidifier system that Cooper installed the previous spring. Service tech came out and looked at it, and said it would need to be replaced, although not necessarily immediately. He explained that once the canister went out, though, that the humidifier would stop working.

After calling for what was advertised as same day emergency service, last Friday, I was told to call back Saturday and they would come then. So I called back Saturday and they told me the soonest they could get to my house was Wednesday. The technician showed up Wednesday at the appointed time, diagnosed the burned up blower motor, then proceeded to tell me that the circuit cards in the furnace were bad as well and needed replacing. He quoted me $4300 for a new furnace and said it would be Sunday before they could install that. I called Mid America to give me a second opinion. It turns out that the circuit board wasn't bad at all. The Cooper technician had hooked up two wires backwards. I didn't need a new furnace. Meanwhile the Cooper service technician had taken my credit card information and since he left I can't find my credit card. I still don't know how much they are going to charge me. I feel like I've been scammed.

The technicians Drew Holm and Gregg Wells, were thorough, informed, courteous and helpful. My furnace had stopped heating and I had a technician out within two hours of calling. I hadn't serviced my furnace in the 7 years I had been living in the house and don't know the history of the 16 year old furnace so the recommendations they made made great sense. Unfortunately I can't afford many of the items at this time but they fixed the immediate problems and I will keep them in mind when I can afford to fix all the problems. The furnace is running fine at this time.

The estimate and diagnostic cost $95 which was refundable if I purchased and installed a boiler from them The estimator was professional and thorough and I agreed to purchase the new Lennox/Dunkirk boiler with installation the following Wednesday. On Tuesday I called to ask what time they were coming (after I called the other bid and told them we were going with Cooper). That is when I got the shock -- Cooper was unable to produce the boiler in less than 2 weeks because Denver had none in stock and they had to ship from Penn. Since I was fuming and without hot water or hot water baseboard heat, I kept calling to see if they could use a different boiler but the answer was the same -- they were unable to produce the product. I cancelled them immediately, asked for my $95 to be return to my credit card and called the other company an got on my knees to get back on their schedule. Blue Sky put us back on schedule, was more expensive but they had the boiler they bid and they did a very nice job. I am still trying to get back my $95 from Cooper. Lesson learned, before I let anyone into my house to bid a job make them show me where thy are getting the parts.

Cooper met or exceeded my expectations. Our salesperson, Tim, came out to do the initial assessment and estimate. He was on time, friendly, and took his time to explain everything and answer all of my questions. He provided a quote on the spot but was fairly low-pressure. The initial price we were quoted was high, but they were open to negotiating and we eventually arrived at a reasonable price. Even after negotiation, their price was not the cheapest we were quoted, but we felt that their professionalism and warranty made up the difference. On installation day, I received a call to let me know the installers were on their way and would arrive in about an hour. An hour later, Dan and Manny arrived. Through the whole process they were incredibly professional and respectful of our home. Dan carefully explained everything they were going to do and checked in regularly to provide status updates or to involve me in decisions that needed to be made. In virtually every aspect of the installation, they went above and beyond my expectations. They ran into several unexpected problems along the way and in each case, they took their time to address the problem properly rather than quickly, even though it resulted in a late night for them. When they finished, they cleaned all of the areas where they worked, leaving everything cleaner than it was when they arrived. Overall, I'm very happy with the service we received. The price was reasonable, the company was highly communicative, every person from the company I interacted with was courteous and professional, they were on time to every appointment, and the system works great. I also can't say enough great things about Dan and Manny. They are hard workers, highly skilled, and clearly care about the work that they do.

I worked with Tim McKeown from Cooper Heating & Cooling. One of the best customer service experiences I've had, he saved me about $15,000 on a new AC unit by identifying that it was a ducting issue causing me my cooling problems. Which can be fixed much much much cheaper than a new AC. The other company I had been dealing with before insisted I needed an additional AC unit to cool my home. He will be my first call if I ever have HVAC problems in the future. Real down to earth guy and honest!!

Went thru Costco preferred provider - Cooper Heating Cooling out of Broomfield, CO. Excellent attention to detail. Our sales person, Tim McKeown, was great. Super knowledgeable and went above and beyond insuring the system configuration and installation was "Spot On". Thank You. Have not run the A/C. Heat / furnace system has been running for about 6 weeks. The Lennox high efficiency furnace system is quiet, efficient and has met and exceeded our expectations. During the "shopping stages" went out to four highly rated local HVAC companies for pricing / bids. Cooper Heating Cooling came in with the lowest cost, highest performance system of all four bids and they were also the most responsive. The Costco incentives made a big difference. As did Tim's efforts and attention to detail. All that and the confidence of purchasing thru a Costco certified / supported vendor. A lot of peace of mind due to all these items. Very satisfied, exceeded expectations. Also looking forward to summer and finally having A/C after 20 years.

Last fall Cooper replaced my old furnace and AC with new, high efficiency equipment. On the whole, the experience has been very positive, from the very informative and professional initial sales call through installation to a recent accounting follow-up. On the plus side, there were no hidden costs, the installation crew really knew their business, and they worked late to get the job done in a single day as promised. My furnace is in a utility room in a finished basement, and a tight fit in a little alcove with the water heater. They removed the old one, hauled it away and installed the new one without leaving any kind of mess. I'm very happy with the new equipment and the installation job they did. The one counterpoint was that their price was on the high side of the range of quotes that I got, but that was well offset by the rebate that Costco offered for booking the work as a member. I would definitely advise anyone getting HVAC work done to get a quote from Cooper.

No work was performed. I only received the quote in an email for something I did not want. I wasted my time being home to meet Cooper and ended up without any results.
Description of Work: Cooper arrived on time for an estimate to replace my water heater. I had provided information prior to the visit on what I wanted replaced (same brand model, and also a different brand to compare prices). I was immediately handed a tankless heater brochure which I said I didn't want due to the return on investment. I received a quote in an email for only the tankless water heater - stating they can not install the requested unit. They either did not want the job, or they were trying to sell me something I did not want. Either way I would not recommend this provider.

Job took about 5 full days, with a few follow up visits. Overall they exceeded our expectations. They provided us with a 2 yr guarantee that the house will cool to our satisfaction or they will be back to remedy. So far it works wonderfully, and hope we will not need the guarantee! Also sent out a handyman to fix any damaged paint or drywall, which we had a few dings, but not much. Overall a very professional and responsive crew. I would recommend them.

It has been a month since I contacted Cooper with my filter size and I still have not received a filter. I called this morning to inform them that I'm still waiting on my filter and they told me yet again that they did not have my filter size in the system. I gave it to them the last time I called about this and even had a technician take note of it while at my house for a follow-up for the Excel Rebate. I asked for a rebate for the fee of the filters I haven't received. I don't know what I would do if they gave me all 4 filters all at once since I only need 1 at a time. The person taking my message said things have been a mess (obviously) and she'd have to refer that to a manager. After spending $12,000 with a company plus a monthly fee I would think a $30 refund as a token of apology for filters I never received would be pretty inconsequential.
Description of Work: As stated in my prior review in August I joined their filter of the month club with the additional fee that allows me to get an inspection once year.

I had a furnace that was 35 years old and 60 percent efficient and an air conditioner that was 20 years old. I got three bids and Cooper was the most impressive. They were the only company who bothered to take the time to calculate the right size furnace and air conditioner for my house by measuring inside square footage, all the house windows, number of ducts etc. The salesperson was very helpful in giving me the information I needed to make a decision. I got a furnace that is about 93 percent efficient. The installation was very professionally done. They spent nine hours at my house, changing some of the main duct work to be more efficient and running the required PVC pipe through the crawl space. They also included removing a large amount of extraneous hot tub water heaters and filters, pipes and electrical boxes that hadn't been used in over 20 years and were crowding the furnace room. Their electrician capped off the old hot tub supply and brought other things up to code. They are also doing all the work to file for my rebate from Excel Energy for me. A really great team. I will definitely use them in the future!

The service before selling me my new furnace and air conditioning unit was incredible. The sales person came out to the house several times and was thorough in reviewing the work that would be done.Once they had my money everything changed. The work wasn't done as originally described and when I removed a vent that didn't seem to have airflow I found there was no ducting going to it. It was just a hole in the wall. They came out again, routed flow to the original hole but also put another hole I presume for another return. Again, this was a hole in the wall completely surrounded by joists and a header. It was a completely sealed box. I forced them to have this patched at their expense. At the time of original sale I joined their Gold Club to get a filter each month and service once a year to maintain the warranty. After 2 months of not receiving my filter I inquired and was told they needed to know the size of my filter. I was floored that they put in the unit and had to ask me, the customer, what size filter they needed to send. I'm still waiting in the third month of my membership for the filter.I had not received my Xcel rebate and called to inquire. Apparently an inspection needed to be performed that I was not told about. This was scheduled to occur yesterday but called me the day of to see if it could be rescheduled to today due to technician issues. This morning I received a call saying they didn't know if my appointment is for today or tomorrow. Again, they're calling the customer to find out information they should have. I informed them it was today and that we were already approaching my scheduled 2 hour service window. I was then called later, one hour into my service window, saying the technician was running late and the window would need to be pushed back. I have adjusted plans and my personal schedule to meet their requirements which have changed repeatedly. In addition to the filter each month the Gold membership also grants priority scheduling which doesn't seem to be the case.Outside of my required maintenance I will not be using this company or recommending them in the future. Despite the discount I get on service I will be going with another company where service is at a higher standard.
Description of Work: Install new furnace and air conditioning unit as well as service and certify for rebates.
