Before Mike started the job, I told him about the water line. He finished the job, and I checked it and paid him. The next spring, we turned on the water and found he had broken it. I called to let him know, and he said he would go check it out. That was the last time I heard from him. He wouldn’t take my calls. Trust is huge in my book, so I wouldn’t trust him for any job.

--not a good job--lots of excuses, finally got them to come back and fix most of it--still had to fix some of it myself.

Do NOT hire this guy and if you do, do NOT pay him until he is 100% done and you are 100% satisfied. I made the mistake and now I have to live with it. I have three major problems. Stains: The crew left several stains on the stamped concrete, especially around the stepped areas. Mike promised to come back and fix it. That was almost a year and a half ago. Cracks: Cracks appeared very quickly. Although Mike told me his work was guaranteed, he hasn't even come back to look at the cracks that I have told him about to see if it's even possible to fix them. One 10x10 area looks so bad that I'm truly embarrassed to have guests see it. He Lies: He has responded to most of my emails with promises to come fix the problems. He has even told me the days that he would come and I ensured that my wife would be there to meet him. Not only does he not show, he doesn't email us to say he's not coming. Meaning my wife wastes time waiting for him when she could be doing something constructive. Mike was recommended by a friend in the neighborhood. It is shocking to me that a business owner would jeopardize his reputation like this, especially with a customer who is good friends with someone who ACTUALLY REFERS him!!! I gave Mike plenty of chances to make this right. He either lies to me or ignores me, and hasn't responded to my last 5 emails. I now know that he is never coming back and I am stuck with the bill for fixing it. I hope this review prevents others from making the same mistake. Sincerely, Tom

The weather conditions on the day he poured the concrete was not optimal for a winter pour. It was a 70 degree day with extremely high winds. The cement factory had mixed the concrete with warm water as is the norm for winter. The concrete set up way too quickly and he had a mess. To our great surprise, he made it right. It is not 100 percent perfect, but he did everything in his power, short of tearing the entire driveway out, to satisfy my husband. Tearing the driveway out would have been a mess for him and us with the base and rebar and us needing the access our garage. We did not want that to happen.
Description of Work: Poured a very long driveway for a custom home.
