Fred is a class act. He shows up on time, does a great job, is happy about his work, and it shows. Yeah, he and his guys left a couple bags of trash on the front porch, but at least it was in bags and not strewn all over the yard (as with other contractors). My only hesitation in recommending Fred is that by doing so it's fait accompli that he'll be too booked up the next time I need him.

When purchasing our new home we had a 1-day window to get contractors in for quotes on several things. We wanted to refinish our hardwood as well as match and extend it into 3 new areas. Of the 4 contractors we contacted, Fred was the only one on time (2 didn't even show up). He took measurements and asked pertinent questions and really listened to what we wanted. He answered all of our questions and I got the impression he really cared about the quality of his work and our satisfaction. After all bids came in, we called him several times to ask additional questions because of everyone we contacted he seemed the most knowledgeable and was easy to work with. His was the bid we were going to select (his prices were very competitive) but we decided we were going to wait and install entirely new wood (existing is oak, and we really didn't want oak) sometime in the next year. We will definitely recommend him, and will contact him when we are ready to replace the wood flooring in our home.
