When I phoned and described the manufacturer, price range, and age of my garage door opener (Genie, budget grade, 14 years old), the increased noise it was now making, and the way it was starting to reverse itself as if under stress, the man said, "I don't think my servicing will help it. It sounds worn out, and should be replaced." I have replaced it w/o further help from him. His honesty saved me money.

Description of Work: I have a 16 ft door that 2 brackets broke on. Mike came out promptly and he had a part that worked better than that which was originally designed. Mike put on the parts, and did some maintenance to the door. He did not charge us for the parts or labor, and just for trip charge. He was a great guy and should anything else break then we'll definitely use him again!

Description of Work: A Better Garage Door responded immediately to my call and were able to come out the next day to replace a broken spring...and as I learned that it is better to replace both at the same time as the added pressure on the old or remaining spring would lead to its near term breakage. So, they were on time, came in, did the work, no chit-chatting - very professional, and were in and out speedily. They were particularly courteous and professional. I'd highly recommend them..

Description of Work: Analyzed issue with 12 year old LifrMaster. Discussed options, we replaced the entire opener with a new upgraded model, and it works fglawlessly. He also adjusted spring tension, lubed the wheels / tracks etc. Excellent job. Excellent man to deal with...prompt, professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. I would not hesitate to use him again, or recommend him to good friends.

Description of Work: Replaced an 8x16 and 8x8 overhead garage doors. Bid was on the mark, showed up when they said they would, work was completed when they said it would be. Great company.

Description of Work: Inspected garage door and replaced existing rollers with quieter, nylon ones. Adjusted spring and made recommendation on replacement. All moving parts were lubricated and adjusted as needed.

Description of Work: I contacted this company for garage door repair based upon the stellar reviews at Angie's List. Mike, the owner, answered the phone and indicated that he had a full schedule today but could come out tomorrow or at the end of the day today. He asked me what the problem was, and I told him the garage door would not close. He asked if it started to go down and if the overhead light blinked. Affirmative. He said that the sensors near the bottom of the door likely were dirty or out of alignment. He told me how to correct this. I followed his advice and the door worked fine. I really appreciate that Mike took the time to help me without coming out here to charge me as many other companies would. I certainly wouldn't hesitate to call him again if I have a more serious problem with the garage door.

Ended up that I didn't need their help after all as the guidance provided fixed the issue. Description of Work: We purchased an "Angie's deal coupon." (so I don't remember the price). Repairman called to say he would be a few minutes late and he was just a little bit late. Very pleasant and professional. Work performed promptly and professionally(new rollers and general maintenance) and we would call him again.

Description of Work: The owner came out and did the job, and was very helpful to arrange around other contractors working on the job site. And quick! Got the part in and came back the next day to install. Definitely would recommend them!!!
