Description of Work: Wow. What a great experience. Saturday morning my 87 year old father calls to tell me his garage door isn't working. I went over to discover a broken spring. I called A Better Garage Door, Mike answered and said he could be there in about two hours. He arrived early, and the job was done in about 30 minutes. This was probably the easiest home repair I've ever dealt with. I would definitely hire them again.

Description of Work: Garage door was not operating correctly. Joe, technician informed me that do to the age of my opener, (15 yr old Liftmaster) that I would be better off to install a new Linear belt-driven opener. He explained in detail why A Better Garage Door Company installs the Linear brand of opener. He stated how quiet the new opener would be and he was right. Joe also gave me some tips of how to maintain my garage door to keep it operating efficiently. We love our new Linear garage door opener! Would highly recommend this Company.

 + -1 moreProfessional, friendly, efficient, experienced. I like using smaller local businesses and when I saw these folks on Angie's list, I gave them a try and was very, very pleased. Mike showed up himself, banged the job out in short time and didn't try to over sell me on anything. He had all the equipment and the parts he needed to do the job on hand and even helped me chase my little dog back into the house. I will definitely recommend A Better Garage Door to my neighbors and friends.

Description of Work: I bought the Angie's List garage maintenance special for $85 (replacing those awful, loud metal rollers with nylon ones)! When Mike, the owner, got here - precisely on time - I asked him about a couple other garage door things I wanted done. So spent another $125, by choice, no up sell from Mike. He's a great guy, shows up on time, does what he says he's going to do, and I couldn't be more thrilled. Will call him again, for sure, when I can save up enough to buy an insulated garage door!!!! Don't hesitate to call him - I'm picky about service - and he is A+++++++++++++++++++++!

He gave me plenty of options to choose from, with no pressure and upselling. In addition to doing great work, Mike is a pleasant guy. Now my door operates properly and seals nicely with the new floor. If you need your garage repaired or a new garage door installed, A BETTER GARAGE DOOR Company can do the work to your satisfaction. Highly recommended!
Description of Work: We just replaced our driveway and garage floor, the door did not close properly with the new floor, one cable was fraying, hinges were about broken. We replaced all of hinges, rollers, and lifting cables and realighned my door.

 + -1 moreSee above. This day and age it's rare to get a free service call no matter how minor the problem. The next time I have a garage door problem he has earned my business and he will now be my 'go to' guy for anything garage door related. I had him quote me a price for a replacement LiftMaster garage door opener should I need one & his price including installation was very competitive.
Description of Work: Garage door would not properly or dependably close. Mike came out & assessed the garage door & determined that the only problem was that the chain tension needed to be adjusted tighter. He made the adjustment, tested the door several times, sprayed all the hinges w/ a special solvent, & would not take any money for his time or trouble.

 + -1 moreI was very impressed by the punctuality of this contractor, as he came right out to help me. He is very well kept and professional and knew just what to do to fix my door. I highly recommend him for door replacements and repairs as he really knows his stuff. Lastly, I thought his price was really good considering the work he did.
Description of Work: I had a problem with my single car garage door as it wouldn't open for some reason. He came out and greased the sled and adjusted the wheels. It took him about an hour or so to finish the job.
