DELINTZ DRYER VENT CLEANING SERVICE

Avoid Delintz! The technician determined that our dryer vent line was not serviceable, as he didn't have a ladder long enough to reach the vent cap on our three story roof. And I was charged a $67 "trip charge!" I had to hire another company that used a shop vac to vacuum the lint from the vent line at where it is connected to the dryer. That technician then ran a video scope up the line to confirm that the line was cleared of lint, and did an air flow test. Why couldn't the Delintz tech have done the same? Stay away from Delintz!

This service provided has worked with us for a couple of years to keep our dryer in good shape and our house cleaner. They are always on time, professional, and do such a good job! I'm amazed at how much lint they are able to get out of the vents. This year, our dryer was taking longer and longer to get our clothes dry. As a result of their work, the problem was solved and we avoided having to hire a repair man to check it out. It now works as good as new.

BE FOREWARNED!!! DO NOT HIRE THESE PEOPLE, ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE PETS! The service guy, Anthony, came to clean the dryer vents on the afternoon of 9/19/12. Shortly after he arrived, he entererd our backyard from the side gate to locate the outside vent. Knowing we had 4 little doggies, because we discussed it, Anthony still proceeded to leave the gate open when he was finished. Early yesterday morning, one of our dogs discovered the open gate and disappeared. We found out he was missing about half an hour later. After doing a quick search nearby, my fiance and I walked, rode bikes, and drove around our neighborhood and the surrounding ones looking for our dog for 3 hours. Our dog is 15 years old and deaf so we knew he would not hear us calling him. When we returned home, both irate and worried, I called Delintz to tell them that due to their negligence, our dog was now missing! Without any concern or apology, Anita, who answered the phone, said that I needed to speak with Anthony, the service guy. I also asked to have the owners of Delintz, Mark & Ann Welhouse, call me right away. At the very least I would appreciate a phone call with a sincere apology for this huge disaster they created. We then spent 4 hours on the phone notifying animal control, animal shelters, and vet clinics about our lost dog. My fiance drove out to the county animal shelter to see if our dog had been turned in while I made dozens of lost dog flyers. My mother drove down all of the way from Fort Collins to help with our search. For the next 3 hours we hung signs on street poles, went door to door passing out flyers, and talked to anyone we saw outside. A family in the neighborhood came across our flyer and called to tell us that they had found our dog and that he was at their house. Relieved, ecstatic, and crying with joy, we picked him up immediately! I gave the family $100 cash in appreciation for returning our dog. So after 10 hours of searching, we finally found him! The outcome could have been so much worse! We are extremely lucky that our other 3 dogs didn't get out through the opened gate also. Did I mention that my fiance and I also had to take a personal day off? To top it all off, I had to call a washer/dryer service repairman to come out because my washer wasn't working right after Anthony was here. That cost another $60. Mark Welhouse finally called 4 or 5 days after I called on the 20th. He was apologetic and refunded the $89 but we were also out another $160 plus the time, stress, worry, and hassle we went through. It is appalling that it took him so long to return my call. It is clear Mark & Ann Welhouse and the service guy from Delintz lacked much concern, remorse, or responsibility for this heedless act that led to a tremendous amount of grief, fear, inconvenience, and expense! Obviously they do not care enough about their customers and they won't care about you either!

It went great. They were within the 45 minute window of time given and performed the service they were hired to do.

When I called Delintz I had to schedule an appointment a couple of weeks out since they only do work in my town on certain days. When the guy came to the house he did a good job cleaning out my vent. My wife was the one who let him in and showed him where the laundry room was. After he finished cleaning out the vent he mentioned to my wife that the washer sat farther back than the dryer and asked her if she wanted him to pull the washer up to be even with the dryer. My wife said yes, and then she gave me a call to see if that was OK. As I was talking to her I could hear him moving the washer, so it was too late for me to say that he couldn't move it. When I got home I confirmed what I had feared. My washer sits in a plastic tub that has a hole in the middle of it right over a drain. When he pulled the washer out a few inches he had to move the plastic tub as well, which meant that the drain hole in the tub and the drain no longer lined up. I called Delintz and complained. A few hours later the guy who had done the work called me back. He apologized several times and offered to come out and fix the problem. When I declined his offer he offered to have the owner of the company come out and fix the problem. I deiced that I didn't want anything else to do with this company and declined this offer as well. I had to move the dryer out of the laundry room, then move the washer off the tub, put the tub back and caulk it, and then I put the washer back. It was a pain, and I still don't understand why a company that I hire to clean my dryer vent feels a need to move my washer.

On time and did a good job. Put in new vent that works well.

The company was friendly and punctual. I was disappointed that they only sent one worker and I was asked to help do the work. I was asked to hold the ladder.

Delintz quickly scheduled a time with me, and gave me a 30 minute window. They showed up right on time, and were done and gone within 20 minutes, which impressed me greatly. After the service, the dryer dries a load in no time.

The company gave us a 30 minute window, and showed up just a little bit early. They quickly cleaned out the dryer vent, and also installed a new flex hose to my dryer. Before installing the hose, they told me how much extra that would be and got my permission to do it.
