+ -1 moreI would have referred to Angie's List prior to selecting a contractor to provide an estimate.
Description of Work: The owner came to the house to provide a free estimate. At which time, he said he would take a look at the sprinkler system. He was nice enough to show me how to change a sprinkler head, fix a link in the line and then go with me to Lowes, where I purchased a new timer for the system. When we arrived back to my house, he then worked with me to install the new timer. He told me that this was a freebie and wouldn't charge me for showing how to make the modifications.I subsequently checked his references and looked on Angie's List for any previous work. Based on Angie's List I decided to go with other contractor. I then called him and told that I had selected another contractor.Approximately, a week later he told me that I owed him $365.00 for sprinkler repairs. He has been harassing me ever since. I am now seeking legal action against him.

+ -1 more1. Hired Buck - Paid 1/2 down (good thing I didn't pay more) 2. Very little work performed in 12 days. Didn't show up. 3. Fired Buck 4. Hired reputable Contractor to finish. 5. Out of pock additional $300 6. NOT HAPPY 7. Beware
