Barry's Drywall Inc

A call was placed to Barry Drywall, Inc., on 11/14/13 regarding hiring his company to repair a drywall damage in the ceiling due to roof leakage. No response was received until 11/19. At this time, an employee called to say that "someone would be at our address on 11/20 or 11/21". This is the last that we have seen or heard from the company. We would not use or recommend this company based on the unprofessionalism displayed.

Barry came out to see the work that needed to be done and was very professional and had a bid to me that same night. They called on Tuesday to see if they could do the work on Friday, which was great! Juan came around 8:45a and was shown the work that needed to be done, he put down plastic in the entryway, up the stairs and under all the affected areas as well as a plastic curtain around the areas. All of the work took about 4.5 hours including the cleanup. He took great care not to get the texture all over the place which I really appreciate. I know I could've found another drywall company to come and do the same job for a lot cheaper but I wanted the job done right the first time. You can't even tell where the work was done, it looks great.

Great job and kept us up to date throughout the process. The quality of the work was far better than I expected. Plus the delivery of product, scrap clean up and final clean up was great. They were very, very busy when we launched the project so getting it on the calendar was rough, but once they committed the service and communication was great.

Very responsive, great price and a great job! Would recommended them to anyone!

I called the main number on 9/23 requesting an estimate and got a voice mail message. I haven't received a return call as of 9/29.

After contacting, Barry for an estimate, he came within a few days. As with all our dealings with this company he was punctual, knowledgable, and competitive in price with other estimates. The work was done in a timely manner . . . delivering one day, and finishing the work within 2 days. Workers were polite, industrious, and cleaned up after themselves. It was pleasure working with them!.

The job took a little more than a week. Both Barry Sr and Barry Jr were very responsive to any problem that came up. They were easy to work with. Barry Sr did the estimate for my job and gave me finish options I could consider. Barry Jr ran the crews. There bid was $1000 lower than the other bids. One of their drywall finishers did show one day, but they adjusted schedules and got another crew to finish the job.

Now that roof was fixed, we called Barry's to repar the spots. Found them on Angie's list, had good ratings. Recieved call next day after sedning emial from Angie's list. Juan and a family memeber of Barry's came at time scheduled, got right to work and were done within 2 hours. Very happy with overall work. Juan was very good at making the repairs fit in with the rest of the wall.

Barry arrived and inspected the damage to our ceiling - and gave suggestions and options for other repairs/refinishing to consider. An estimate arrived within a few hours via email. After choosing the repairs and options we wanted, I emailed back the signed contract. Barry phoned the following Monday and scheduled the work. The gentleman that showed up to do the work was professional and efficient. He was also very careful to cover the floor and mask his work area. Within a few hours, the job was complete and looked great! I should also mention that our ceiling is textured, and I was concerned about how the repairs would blend - no worries at all. We absolutely will call Barry's Drywall in the near future to have more work done. The price was reasonable and the work was excellent.

It did not, he didn't return my call.

Barry Jr and his team were very responsive to any questions we had and all the various teams showed up on time and ready to work. Materials were dropped off the first day. The next day Barry Jr stopped by to see work get started and 3 workers hung all of the sheetrock. The next day another worker did the mudding and taping, which took 2 days (he also did the patch work upstairs). The same worker came back a third day to sand and then later that day 2 workers came and did the texture. On the last day a final team of 2 workers came and cleaned up the texture (de-burred) and then Barry Jr stopped by to do a final walk through and remove any leftover materials. All and all everything went smoothly and the quality of work is great.

Barry's team did an excellent job. On time and at the quoted price. I would use him again, this was a great experience !

Barry's was willing to come out within a day or two of my calling and give me an estimate for this small job. I'm not sure how many other companies would have been willing to bother. They were able to schedule and complete the job within several days of the initial visit and charged me their minimum fee, ($125). The workman was punctual and very polite. He even removed his shoes before entering my home. He completed the work quickly and did a good job. I was very pleased all around.

I would recommend them. They did have to come back and fix some things.

Barry and his son are true professionals. They don’t actually do the work. They are supervising the work. They have dedicated crews for the different tasks. All the crews were professional, polite, and left the job site clean after completion of the work. I have nothing but good things to say about them. They were on time, completed the work quickly, and the quality was great. I will use them again for my drywall projects in the future and will not hesitate to recommend them to my friends.

He was great. He was very quick and work was great. I am going to use him in the future.

Barry Sr. came out and gave me an estimate and agreed to work in my tight time constraints. After the electrician I only had 1 1/2 weeks until the project needed to be finished... including drywall, inspections, painting, and trim work. They fininshed in 2 days! I was able to stay on schedule for the rest of the jobs.. Which was important bc my baby was due one week after scheduled finish date. The only issue was in trying to contact the company after the initial consultation for some follow up questions. Barry Jr. was in charge of the actual project and it sometimes took over 24 hours to get a response from him. Whenever I called Barry Sr. I received prompt replies. After the project was finished and I put on the outlet covers, there was a gouge in two areas where the drywall had been cut that the plate didn't cover. Two days after I left a message I was called and told a worker was on the way over. I was out of the house and had to run home to let him in. But it was fixed within 10 minutes and was very nice. Overall the project looks incredible, and would definately use them again.

Barry's guys appeared on time, made sure to cover everything and did a great job, including spraying texture. Then they completely cleaned up after themselves. Very professional.

He was underbid by another company that also seemed to know well how to do the work. We would have chosen them except for their bid price - it might just be because the other contractor was hungrier, I don't really know.

Barry sent a well trained and very professional staff member to complete this job. This was a small patch job and it look like there was never a hole there. They were beyond tidy and were prompt. He was responsive and did not chance the price from the bid to the completion. I would use and recommend his services again.

They were organized, brought 2-3 man crews each day that knew their job showed up on time, got the job done right and got out. Whole job was done in 5 days. Amazing. I highly recommend these guys. Had no issues whatsoever.

He was a good guy, and I liked him. He was here when he said he was going to be here, and what he quoted me was exactly what he charged me; another provider wanted $6000 for the same work. His price of $3100 was good, and everything was upfront and legit. He provided good service and did a good job in a timely manner. I would rate him highly and would use him again in the future if necessary.

They did an okay job. They were a little pricey. It was $150 for 2 hours. The job was fine. The quality was good. It didn't take them long to get out here. I would use them again.

They responded very timely but the estimate was high and that's why we didn't use them. They were really good about talking me through what needed to be done. We got pretty good advice from them. Their service was really good but the prices were little bit on the higher side. They were punctual.
