We had an estimate performed by Taylor about a month before our move. The estimator gave us a 7-9 hour job, 1 truck and a 3-man crew. The crew arrived at 9 AM and got straight to work. They provided wardrobe boxes for our closets and even used some extras to stack smaller boxes and other loose items into. The crew was done packing in about 3 hours, made it across Longmont, was unpacked and done in another 3 hours. No damage and the time spent was less than the estimate. They even offered to put together a bed they themselves did not take apart and to hook up our washer and dryer even though that was not "officially" part of their service! Fast, efficient, and to-the-point! A job well done!

Arrived on schedule with two trucks and five movers. Finished job on schedule even with very bad weather (cold with slippery sidewalks and driveways). Second time using Taylor and would use them again.

I found them online and saw that they had won a lot of local awards. They were one of three movers I called. They were not the cheapest but the lady I spoke to on the phone was very helpful and asked me more questions then the other companies I called. The movers showed up on time and were friendly and fun to work with. I did expect them to have on uniforms but other than that they were professional. The quote I was given was a little less then the move ended up costing but I probably wasn't as ready to go as I should have been. Overall the move went smoothly with a few minor scratches that they had repaired. I would recommend them and use them again.

The day of our move was chaotic (closing our new house was problematic) and times got changed. Taylor was accomodating and worked with us to get into our new house that same day. We appreciated their willingness to go the extra mile, with the whole process taking longer than planned. I know the guys were very tired, but everyone kept a good attitude and acted professionally.
Description of Work: A sales rep came to the house and did the estimate which seemed reasonable. The day before our move, they came and packed the trucks. The next day, they delivered it to our new house.

We were disappointed and disgusted with Taylor Moving. Both times we had them out they were going to pack our stuff and they didn't. We had packed some and when they did pack they didn't pack as well. They showed up with 4 guys and they didn't pack. They don't do what they say they are going to do. They are expensive. The person who owns the business will tell you one thing and those who come out will tell you something else. The inmates are running the asylum. They had an A rating, but we just didn't hit it off.

It was our 4th move in 4 years (1 international and 1 from Illinois to Colorado) and it has been by far the best experience and the least stressful move.Taylor was the only company to respond to our request for a quote and they came the next day for a detailed evaluation, made us feel comfortable then and we decided to work with them without waiting for the others to respond (which they never did). They were recommended by our Realtor and we had seen enough positive reviews in order to risk it.The day of the move went very well, after a confirmation the day before the crew did show up in time. They were extremely professional, well mannered and careful, they were very pleasant and made the whole day go like a breeze despite very high temperatures. They were communicating the whole time, making sure they were putting our things in the right space and very helpful (my wife is 5 months pregnant) and patient with my 2 years daughter that was of course always in the way despite us trying to have her out of the way.I hope not to have to move anymore in a long time but if I do I will sure use them again!

They arrived on time. The lead guy was professional and had everything planned out an organized how they would do things. A couple of the movers were grumpy, probably due to the weather. They were fast, efficient, and respectful of the items in the house. There was a mover who kept asking about if he could have a "shot" to get him going for the day, which I felt was unprofessional. At first, he kept joking about it but then he kept bringing it up. The movers seemed to work together well, efficiently and effectively. A couple times, there were two of them that did not get a long very well and would argue back and forth but they still got the job done. There was a situation that occurred in our master bedroom where one of the men made mention that there were "pills" on the carpet and that he was going to take them. They were actually prescription pills that had fallen below our bed, loose on the floor. I am not sure if he really took them since I overheard them from the other room but I did go in the room and they were gone. We went to the storage unit and they were very efficient in moving all of the items, including wrapping things properly and working efficiently. Once we g

DO NOT use Taylor Moving! The overall experience was horrible! First off, the estimate for our move was $3,195.00. Our final price, $4448.00. Taylor moving was $1,253.00 OVER the estimate! A 30%+ mistake when people are working with a budget is quite a hit. Keeping on the financial side, Taylor moving cost us around another $500.00-$750.00 in theft/loss. This includes some broken things like lamps, picture frames, etc. Also, lost hardware that renders some of our furniture useless. I am also missing an entire part of my sports memorabilia collection which can't be replaced. I am very suspicious of the disappearance of this collection since I packed it myself. The box I packed it in was unpacked by Taylor moving, which doesn't sit well with me. I know they unpacked the box because some of the items in the box showed up elsewhere. I can't figure out why Taylor Moving would unpack boxes their clients packed, and marked, specially!? The 2 days they were in our house packing were not comfortable at all. SOME of the crew were very vocal in their displeasure of the task at hand. They would make comments about the size of the job and "how much stuff" we had. We could hear them laughing at our personal belongings, saying things like, "look at this (laughing)" or even, "hey, look at me" kind of things. We would also hear them talking about specific items and what they thought about them. At least one of the crew came into the house the first day totally wreaking of marijuana smoke. The smell was so intense it was too much for my wife, 7 months pregnant, to bear. We've never felt so intruded upon. The actual move wasn't too awful, mostly because we didn't have to be around the movers that much. They left our old house in very bad condition i.e. empty water bottles, tape rolls, carpet stains, scratches, dents, etc. Interestingly enough, with the actual move into the new house, they kept it really clean and didn't do too much damage. They did leave us a toilet full of human waste, and some items were kind of snuck into the garage to cut corners. When we began unpacking we found that the movers ate most of our left over Halloween candy and decided to leave the empty wrappers in our moving boxes. So, unpacking boxes and having trash fall onto the floor was very frustrating and it made our job harder. Also, many of the boxes were mislabeled and a bunch of them were put in the wrong places. So, for a couple of weeks afterwards I had to move the boxes all around the house to different locations. This was terribly frustrating after we payed $4K for a move. After this terrible experience, we contacted Taylor Moving to discuss the discrepancy between the estimate and the overall cost. Taylor chalked it up to an "honest mistake" and refunded us about four hundred dollars. That amount they said was the cost of an extra man they had to put on to the moving day. Since we hadn't planned for an extra mover in the estimate, they thought that we deserved to be reimbursed for that. It still left us almost $1K over the estimate. There are a couple of good things that came out of this, and I'm hoping this review becomes another positive from our experience. First of all, my mother was going to use Taylor Moving to move her house as well. The job was much larger than ours and had the potential to take about a week. We were able to get her a new moving company and take that revenue out of Taylor Moving's hands. I won't discuss this other company in this review but they were head and shoulders above Taylor, and we will be using them again. The other good thing that came out of this was taking Taylor off my referral list. I am a residential real estate broker, Realtor, and I use/recommend movers frequently. The only reason we used Taylor Moving was because they were referred to us for a move to the Broomfield area. I wanted to try somebody who was a little more "local" to our new part of town. In my line of work, it is very valuable to weed out the bad vendors and keep my clients happy. Now, all I can hope is that this review will save some of you from Taylor Moving. Learn from our mistake!

All went well from the estimate over the phone through moving my furniture back in. The movers were punctual and professional and nice. The final price was right in line with the estimate. I will definitely use them for any future moving needs.
Description of Work: Taylor provided moving and storage and moving again when I had my floors refinished. They did an excellent job and the two movers were professional and even did a couple extras (e.g. hooking up the TV and Cable). I was amazed that storing 3 rooms of furniture only cost me $10 a day! Absolutely no damage to the furniture, not even any dirt.

I don't recommend this company unless you have very minimal belongings. It was a very long day for all involved and I felt the crew was just too hot and tired to finish the job in a professional manner. Boxes were tossed in the garage which were clearly marked 2nd floor. Trunks containing Christmas decorations, some fragile, are still standing on there sides in my garage..... I am afraid to look. Large boxes for my upstairs are still in the garage because I can't carry them up.......This was the move from H***.
Description of Work: An estimate was given of 4-5 hours over the phone after emphazing that we had 2 bedrooms with oversized furniture and an office. Also, there were lots of clothes. We were told there would be plenty of wardrobe boxes. When the crew arrived, after inspecting our place, they said it would take a little longer than quoted because of the storage units. Six wardrobe boxes were brought with only 3 hangers. After an all day packing period, they said the truck was full. To my dismay, all of my clothes were still hanging in the big walk-in closet. Also, the storage had not been loaded. I had asked when they arrived if the truck was big enough for the move and was assured that it was. I was told" Don't worry about a thing, we'll take care of it. Just sit and relax". Sounded good to me! I was billed for 11.5 hours for a job that was not completed. We had to get some family members the next day to finish up. The crew said after the wardrobe boxes were empty, call the company and someone would come out and pick them up and give us a check for $30. After calling the owner we found that is not their policy, so we brought the boxes back. I had spoken with Leah, the owner and she said she would refund $260 and repair any damage that was done. Our freshly painted staircase was damaged and there were also some gouges out of the walls. I did find that only $220 was refunded to my account. We called and left 2 messages as well as emails. After finally getting hold of Leah, she said that she had responded to my email, which I never received. She stated that the $220 included the cost of the wardrobe boxes which she and I never discussed. So, instead, of refunding the $260 she promised and the $30 for the boxes, I only got a credit for $220.

I got a lot of quotes from a lot of moving companies before deciding to go with Taylor. Their quoted price wasn't the lowest but they seemed to have the best ratings and reviews that I could find. I was quoted a price for 2 trucks with 4 men. 5 calendar days before the move, I got a confirmation call from the office to finalize a time. I was closing on the house at 9 AM that morning and so didn't want to do it when they had us scheduled at 9 AM. I asked if we could move it back to 11 but was told that it was already a full day but could we move it up to 7:30 AM. I said that was fine, it would give me time to walk the movers through the house giving them instructions and then I could leave and do the closing. On the day of the move, at 7:20 AM, I got a call from the lead mover saying that he just got the work order and no one had previously informed him of the the apt time change and he was going to try to scramble a team and get to our house ASAP. He called back at around 8:10 and said it took him longer than expected to get his team together and they couldn't be there until 9 AM. I informed him of my closing at that time and told him the sooner they got there the better so I could get out to the closing. They got there at about 5 AFTER 9 with 5 guys instead of 4, I thought nothing of the change but keep that in mind for later, and I gave them a quick walk through to get them started and then I left for my closing. When I got back, at 10:45, they had completely filled one truck and had the 2nd one about a third of the way full. We had pre-packed about 80% of the house into boxes. I'd never heard of a "wardrobe box" until they showed up with about 12 of them and used them for our clothes and some of the other stuff that was not yet packed. The 5 man team was VERY courteous and professional through out the process and they had everything loaded up by 12:15. They were gonna take 45 minutes to grab a bite and then meet us at the new house. They got there instead in 30 minutes and got right to work. They were very quick and efficient at getting the trucks unloaded and into the new house. Though most of the boxes we packed were labeled, we discovered later that there were a few boxes that were put in the wrong rooms. They got everything unloaded and in by about 3:45. When I went to pay the bill, the 5 man rate was $25 per hour more than the 4 man rate I was quoted. I'm not sure where the breakdown in communication was there, but the paperwork said 4 men and they scratched it out and put 5. It was an 8 hour job, the same as we estimated on the very first phone call, but with the 5 man rate, it cost me $200 more than what I had originally thought it would be. Again, I have a small problem with the apparent lack of communication between the office personnel who make the apts and schedule the day with the moving crews who go out into the field, but other than that, the movers were very professional and very courteous. As of right now, nothing seems to have gotten broken, but we're still living out of boxes until we can get situated this weekend.

TAYLOR MOVING LLC was very nice, but I was not too pleased with the young man that actually did the moving. The team was not as gentle as I wanted them to be. They did not wrap the couch properly. The move went pretty well. The biggest problem was the difference between the estimate by one of the owners and what actually happened. The owner said they would provide 4 wardrobe boxes - they only had three. The owner said they would shrink wrap dressers, file cabinet and shelves, and they didn't. A couple of pieces were damaged, which they will pay to repair, but the damage could have been avoided.

Unfortunately for the movers, the day of our move, it was pouring rain all day. They kept our belongings dry, never complained, they had fun as they worked, and they were pleasant and friendly. They moved everything for us very well. After the move, we did discover a scratch on our amoire. Taylor sent over a wood repairman who fixed it right up at no charge. This is a professional company that does good work at a good price.
