Painting Plus

The timeliness, responsiveness and quality of Painting Plus of Boulder was exceptional. The cost was very reasonable. I recommend them without hesitation. Working with them was a joy. We will absolutely use them in the future when we have more painting needs.

Derrick's crew showed up promptly each morning when they said they would. They took great care to protect and cover surfaces where they painted and cleaned up when they were done. They finished on schedule and will be hiring them to paint the exterior of my home soon.

Incredibly disappointing. We used Painting Plus of Boulder based upon a family recommendation and have not had a good experience with the level of professionalism or work provided. I've had to reevaluate and remove my recommendation of this company to another potential customer based upon my experience.

They did a couple of things I like, but again they haven't done the job yet. I talked to someone I presumed was the owner name Dirk Hackard is his name and then someone named Scott in the office. They were very helpful. He gave me some very specific comments there was something about something and color and such they had told me that Sherwood Williamson or Sherwood Williams paint excuse me some Sherwin Williams color cord that I could use and what she went out everything changed because she changed colors that he was famous peeping things somewhat similar to what I had on there which was I did not want to keep it that way, but she was very helpful and then he took the information from her he gave me the figures based on that the price to go up a little bit, but that was alright, it was still a reasonable figure. He communicated well, he went to the house and looked at it. They communicated very well. They seemed to get back to me in reasonable time and answering questions.

This was our second time using Painting Plus. They are excellent. Their work is terrific and the crew is professional, courteous and they meticulously clean up the job site.

They did all of the above and more. Several pieces of rotted wood were removed, replaced, and painted. A hinge on my gate needed fixing and they fixed that as well. After starting the project, we realized that the small upper deck had not been included in the bid but they did the deck as well. Also, in order to get the black stain off of the deck, they sanded the deck as well as power washing it. I was in my house most of the time they worked on my house and I have never seen a harder working crew. I would never hire anyone else to paint my house (inside or out) other than these guys unless, of course, I had to move out-of-state. The are an extraordinary group that went above and beyond just painting my house and taking care of my deck.

Great! Painters were very meticulous, courteous, and clean during the 10 days they were in the house. The owner did not charge for re-painting a color that did not match the original, and a color that we did not like after it was on the wall. High quality work.

We had never gone through painting the exterior of a house, shed, and front and back decks before so it was all new. Whenever we had questions and we emailed them, they were answered in the same day. The work was also done in a timely manner even though the work was weather dependent because of the time of year (cold temps and snow), they worked when possible, including on Saturdays. We will be using this company again for an inside project.

Very well. PP came in on budget. We had many 'add on's' and Derrick and his team were very flexible with our additions. The crew worked very hard...and were respectful that we were in the middle of a remodel. PP is very competitive as well. We hired them a year ago to paint our exterior and were so pleased we hired them again for a whole house interior painting. Great job guys!

The team was very friendly and easy to work with. Their attention to detail was excellent. The guys patched up any holes in the siding and recaulked any seams, really doing a better job than I was expecting. They did great work, were professional and tidy, I would not hesitate to recommend them anyone needing paint/stain work done.

Painting Plus of Boulder is hands down the best painting company I have ever worked with. The crew was professional, hardworking and respectful. The price was very competitive and the work they did was beyond my expectation. I will use Painting Plus of Boulder for every painting project going forward and recommend them to all my friends and family.

They were really good and did a really good job! The person who scheduled the service was really good, too. They actually came in and help me move things around before they painted.

Milo (the owner of painting plus) came and gave an estimate of our property and was very polite and seemed knowledgeable. I should have know that things were a bit off when he gave an estimate to me without measuring any of the room before the quote. I had a 1700 sq. ft. high priced rental painting completed with Milo and it was over priced and finish in a non-professional manner. I'll list the issues for you to see below. Be warned that if you're looking of a top notch paint job, as the price/quote would indicate, this is not the company for you.Pros:All of the workers were very friendly and Milo was accommodatingCons:VERY expensive for the finish you receive.After they were finished there was...1. paint on a large percentage of the carpet next to the trim.2. All of the windows were painted shut3. There was overspray in multiple locations4. The drywall repairs that were supposed to be fixed, via the contract, was just painted over.5. Many of the paint line were not straight and looked like an amature did it.6. Many of the coax cover were painted over, poorly. 7. The workers didn't protect the carpet in many places as per the contract.8. I was the one that needed to point this out for repair instead of Milo-the contractor.I would be very cautious using this company unless. The price and service were not what I was looking for nor expecting.

After getting 5 estimates, we decided to go with with Painting Plus of Boulder and were happy we did so. In short, great quality and professionalism. Derrick was also flexible in accommodating some changes to the original scope of work. Will use his services in the future and recommend him highly.

Our estimate was done by Derrick. The estimate was turned around in a very timely manner and was very reasonable. Sherwin Williams in Boulder knows of this vendor, and while I was picking up samples told me, "They do good work." Our crew of painters was terrific. They arrived before 8am and stayed until 5pm, eating lunch and taking breaks at the house (no two hours lunch breaks here!). They were very friendly and very professional. One of our painters sang a bit while he worked, which was very entertaining! His voice was awesome! The lines are PERFECT and they were extremely diligent in their clean up. Some of our colors required multiple coats, which they applied without complaint. Derrick was available by email very promptly for changes in our color scheme. I would not hesitate to use this company again. Their prices are more than fair and they were extremely reliable. They painted a 1,900 square foot home in three days (no trim or ceiling work). A+!

The workers arrived on time and got right to it. They put down drop cloths, set up ladders, and immediately began putting the first bits of primer on, covering nail heads as they went. When I left for work, they introduced themselves with handshakes and smiles. Over the next three days, they quickly and efficiently prepped and painted the entire exterior, and cleaned everything up when they left. The house looks great, and the price was very fair! We will highly recommend these painters to anyone we meet who needs their services!

Fantastic! We live in the foothills west of Boulder and the team was there on time and worked all day, regardless of the weather. They repaired 1000's of square feet of drywall and did a materful job of repainting all of it and the trim that was poorly finished by another contractor in just a couple weeks. The final finish is wonderful and the price was reasonable, so we couldn't ask for any more. We'll certainly use them again!

Milo was very friendly and I was impressed with his information on the bid and he was very responsive during the whole bid process. I also got a good reference from a neighbor. Once the scheduling and work began on our house, I did not always get a response right away and may have had to wait a few days. Milo was the main contact, but was directly not supervising the crew working on our house. The crew did not speak very good english. One of their crew said that some of their customers could be, "very picky." The job looks good and they guarantee their work for 4 years. Areas for improvement are: Better communication. This could be as simple as checking in with us daily before they start for the day or at the end of the day to review the work done and ask us questions. Have one point of contact of someone who is actually working on the house, speaks good English, and is working on the job the whole time. Review with the homeowner how they want the trim painted. The crew assumed that the paint scheme would be the same way as it was before, which we did slightly differently. They did not check with us before painting the trim and complained when asked to fix it. Protection: They trampled our landscaping and painted some of it as well, even though they said they could move the bushes out of our way. Clean-up: They could be better at using tarps to cover around the house. I had to ask while they were scraping the house to use more tarps. Trash clean up could be better. We found several areas where paint had been sprayed on our lawn or spilled in the yard, which they did not clean up. I also found some paint that was tracked over our driveway which I did not notice until the driveway was wet, since the paint is not easily noticeable when the driveway is dry. I down graded the company to a B for these reasons above. If they made these improvements, they could get an A rating.

Scott arrived right on time to appraise the job, was friendly and the bid for service was very reasonable. It took a few weeks to get scheduled but communication during that time was open and forthcoming. Miguel and his helper showed up on time the day of the appointment and got started right away. They did a good with prep and kept over-spray to a minimum. Both Scott and Miguel were flexible when I requested a few changes to the original plan and accommodated me in this area. Overall the job was done well, clean up was thorough, touch up was done immediately, no deposit was required, communication was open/forthcoming from start to finish and the experience was positive. I would recommend Painting Plus of Boulder to my family and friends.

Crew was able to arrive a couple days early and get started. Ceiling looks much better without the popcorn. I expected the removal to be messy, but was left with a lot to clean up after the painting was done. Interior doors, the microwave, a window screen, window sills, the basement floor, a couple light fixtures, and almost all light switches had paint on them. One of my folding chairs was covered in texture and my vacuum was used for cleanup but not reassembled correctly. Painting Plus did send someone out to clean that up and to paint portions of a room that had been missed. Since then, I have found more places I didn't catch during my initial walk thru. Two smoke detector brackets were not only painted but also textured over so I had to clean that out to get the smoke detector to fit correctly. A ceiling light was put up incorrectly and screws are missing from outlet/light switch plates.

I am VERY happy with the work they did. My house and fences look wonderful. I would highly recommend Painting Plus of Boulder to anyone looking to have this type of work done. I will definitely use them again for any future needs. Derrick explained how they would do the repairs, offered different qualities of paint, and was on time and schedule to get the work completed before winter set in. He was very easy to work with, always patient, responsive and considerate. A great experience all the way around. Very professional and knowledgeable.
