Description of Work: We moved into our new house in early 2010 and the back yard was a large mud and weed pit. In late 2010 we hired Chris Woods and Matrix Gardens. Chris came to our house and measured and charted everything and talked to us about what we liked and wanted. Quickly she came back with three great designs and after some thought we combined parts of all three in our final landscape design. In early 2011 she helped fill out all of the paperwork for the HOA approval as well. We had heard the HOA board was impossible and to expect delays from them. Thanks to Chris' diligence, they approved it on the first submission with nary a question or comment. The estimate was very reasonable but because of the size of the work, we have split it into three phases so far. The first phase of setting boulders and creating different tiers was done in July 2011 which was very soon after the HOA approval. Chris spent more of her own time to save us money and her and her crew did a beautiful job. Our granite boulder terraces are beautiful and we were already getting compliments. For phase two we had some of our own issues and Chris was so patient with us and our delays. Finally we had a custom textured and colored concrete walk and patio poured in October 2012. The contractor she used was wonderful and the patio is absolutely beautiful. She was so meticulous about the borders and explaining everything and overseeing the whole thing. Now in June of 2013 we will start phase three and are very excited to see how awesome it will look.

From the initial phone call, Matrix Gardens was professional, informative, and answered all questions. When they arrived, they took time to hear my needs/wishes, offered suggestions, and fully explained their services.

+ -1 moreThe work was done on time. All plants and the tree were very healthy and the mulch was spread thick. Drip irrigation was tested and worked fine. The crew was pleasant and made sure everything was planted in the proper place. The newly planted and mulched areas look great.
Description of Work: Replace mulch in plant areas, remove buckthorn, plant 3 5-gallon shrubs & 1 crabapple tree, install new drip irrigation lines.
