We had a flood and the dryer was ruined. I would use them again if needed, I think this one should last the rest of my life.
Description of Work: We bought a new dryer from Home Depot.

They are generally good. Sometimes it takes a bit to find assistance but I always do. I would use them again if needed.

It went wonderfully. The whole process of the design, the ordering, the measuring; everything just went very smoothly. It was on schedule. People showed when they said they were going to show up. The craftsmen that actually put the cabinets in and did the re-facing of them was truly a craftsmen and very meticulous. The cabinets are beautiful. The price was very reasonable.
Description of Work: I used Home Depot for installing cabinets in my kitchen. They also refaced the cabinets.

I don't know what a typical time frame is; this job lasted from 7/11 - 11/19. But it didn't really matter because we're in New York and the kitchen is in Boulder. The kitchen planner was prompt and helped us decide how we wanted to create our new kitchen, including moving the refrigerator and installing cabinets where there had been bare wall. Our Home Depot kitchen designer was also good in the store, and helped us pick out the materials we wanted to use. The problems started when we left Boulder and came home. We were in daily phone contact with the designer and then the contractor to coordinate access to the condo for deliveries and installation. But in several instances, communications back to us were very poor. For instance, our daughter had to be at the condo when the cabinets were delivered. She was told that two boxes of installation hardware weren't included with the shipment. So we called and emailed the contractor 6 times between 8/6 and 9/12 to make certain the hardware had been ordered and would be on hand for the installation. Finally, the contractor told us that the missing hardware was only the pulls that we'd not ordered. Someone should have figured that out the first week, not the day before the old cabinets were being torn out. Countertop installers couldn't put in the new counters because the framing wasn't level; contractor had to drive out that day to take care of the problem. Molding was ordered for the gap between the tops of the cabinets and the ceiling, but wasn't installed because the contractor didn't understand what the extra pieces were. Electrician didn't finish his work until end of October because the contractor didn't know the wall plates were ready to install. Kick plate was missing from one section, and the contractor "didn't notice." Lack of oversight by the contractor and lack of communication or response from the Home Depot contact were the major problems. Two bathrooms need to be remodeled next year, but we'll not use Home Depot for that work.
Description of Work: Home Depot offers a concierge service that allows you to do one-stop shopping to remodel kitchens and bathrooms. They sell the materials and sub-contract the work. We had new counters installed, new cabinets installed, an island built between the kitchen and living room, the refrigerator water and electrical connections moved, and the washer and dryer connections moved.

We had an Anderson storm door installed by Home Depot last year, because the front door was not square on the bottom. Unfortunately, the installer took off the old storm door, ruining it in the process, before noticing that the new door he had brought was damaged. It took two weeks to get back and put a new door in, despite snow, no storm door, a bad air leakage under the door. The Home Depot sales person was kind and helpful in the process, but the subcontractor was kind of frustrating - we thought he should be back with a proper door that day. This year, despite the bad experience with the storm door, we had the (drafty) front door replaced and were pleased with the service provided.
Description of Work: Installed front and storm door, over the course of two winters.

It was one of the worst experiences I ever had. The project was started in August 2006 and finished in February 2007. It was only supposed to take six to eight weeks. We had a lot of problems with them and they also damaged the floor and cabinets. I definitely was not very happy.
Description of Work: Home Depot installed eight kitchen cabinets, one sink, and a water filter.
