Aspen Window

This is a return visit of this firm who provided the same service cited above in 2009. Doing businesswith Aspen/Jared is a pleasure. They have provided the same quality work that they did in 2009. Jared and his colleague worked quickly and carefully removing and replacing the furniture as they moved through the house. They compledted the work within an hour and 1/2. This company is the real McCoy. We will unhesitantly call them back for future work and will recommend them to our relatives and friends within the Denver area. We are very satisfied with Aspen's/Jared's work.

I obtained 3 quotes for this work, and they were all in the same ballpark. I selected Aspen because I felt most comfortable with Jared. He explained how they would do the work and spoke about his insurance and the fact that his workers were employees and covered by workers' comp. He also quoted interior window washing, and although the price was reasonable, we decided to do that work ourselves. He also provided a quote for gutter cleaning at our request. Jared and Dusty came on schedule and performed the work well. Jared pointed out some window condition issues that we should keep an eye on (broken seals, etc.). He also gave me some helpful advice on the interior cleaning that we intend to do on our own, and recommendations regarding power washing our exterior siding.

Jared came to the house right on time, fixed the stopped-up drain quickly, and told me what the problem was, and how to get a long-term solution so that I wouldn't keep having issues with it. I recommend him highly. Plus the price was very reasonable,

I had just joined Angie's List and immediately received an email for a Big Deal for gutter cleaning, which was on my to-do list. I responded to the offer of $100 worth of gutter cleaning for $50 and right away received the coupon. I called the number on the coupon 720-256-4292 for Boulder/Denver North, and he referred me to the Denver Metro group 303-818-5258. I connected right away with Jared; he estimated the job at $150 for the house and $30 for the garage, based on his familiarity of the size of my house, less the $50 discount and the $50 I paid for the Big Deal. Within 5 hours from joining Angie's List I had gutter cleaning set up for the following Monday. I arranged to leave the gates open so they could come any time, and he said the bill would be in the door, just send coupon and pay the balance.of $80. The work was done in the afternoon, a bigger job than they expected because I guess it had been a while since the gutters had been cleaned and they were all pretty well clogged up. Who knew, when we don't get much rain! Josh did the work, no mess, no fuss, hauled away the debris. He even fixed a bent corner of the gutter at the garage and advised me where I had gutter and tree branch issues that could cause problems in the future. Great experience all the way around. I vowed to have Aspen clean the gutters on a reguar basis because they were so reasonable, so he was equally happy! Both Jared on the phone and Josh in person were most congenial and did what they promised. Tuesday it rained, and the water flowed right out the downspouts the way it is supposed to.

The company did a good job again. this is my second time using them and I will call them to come back again. My windows were clear, and I hardly knew that they were there. Fast and efficient. I like their pricing, they were on time, and scheduling was super easy.

Service was professionally handled he even added washers to my hose! Great Experience with Aspen.

Jared was very responsive to my request for a quote and they were able to come and clean the following day. They showed up exactly on time, confirmed the estimate in writing, and proceeded to get right to work. My home had just been painted so there was some overspray on the windows which was also removed. All in all, a beautiful job, done very professionally.

Jared came over twice before tinting the windows. We have a southern facing home and he gave us samples to live with before committing to the tinting. He is professional and courteous. He tinted our tv room windows and it made a HUGE difference in the glare and heat level. The film is not like the old purple stuff. It's new, not noticeable and 100% guaranteed. We're ready to tint the remaining southern windows because we LOVE the results.

I have to grade my experience with Aspen Windows as 'Incomplete". During the phone call, Jared said he would contact me within 48 hours and would be the one to personally come out and bid for the job. Naturally, I expected a phone call from him to confirm a time within a day or two. Instead, Jared made an unannounced arrival, which frankly startled me. I must say, Jared is a very clean cut and professional looking young man. When he got out of the car and approached me at the driveway to shake my hand, I told Jared that I didn't know we had an appointment for today, and that in fact he gave me the impression over the phone that he'd call to arrange the meeting. Jared immediately became very defensive and hostile. He did apologize for arriving unannounced, but said he can visit properties to make bids without the homeowner present. I repeated with him it was my understanding that he'd make an appointment time with me within 48 hours as he said on the call, and not just show up unannounced (what I didn't have time to tell him was that another contractor for a paint job was scheduled to arrive within the hour, and of course I don't want two appointments overlapping). Despite this, I said to Jared that since he's here, I'd like him to go ahead and look over the property to make a bid. His reaction? COMPLETELY unprofessional. Jared started to walk toward his car, saying that if he wasn't supposed to be here, then he will not bid on the job. He seemed perhaps a bit embarrassed and angry at my assertiveness, but he further embarrassed himself, in my view, when he refused to stay to make the bid, despite my pleading repeatedly for him to stay and give us a proposal, but he made a snap decision not to take my business, and left. I told Jared that I would write up this experience on Angies's List, and he said that he wouldn't take threats from me. What he didn't know was that this was not a threat, it was a promise. Hence, this review. Jared blew it. He could have done a great job, I'm sure, in cleaning my gutters, and I could have become a repeat customer of his for the next many years, not only for gutters but also for our windows when they get dirty. But, instead, he had to respond in an obstinate manner and not show deference to the customer who wanted the bid even though expressing displeasure that the estimator showed up without an appointment. Beware. Make sure you realize that you will not have an appointment with Aspen Windows even if Jared or someone else gives you the impression that they will be in touch to arrange the meeting. They will just show up, probably at your most inconvenient time. If you want the bid anyway, don't bring this up with Jared when he shows up. He might just storm off your property, like he did with me, and leave you looking for another good firm on Angie's List.
