+ -1 moreTHE ORIGINAL WALK-THROUGH AND PLAN WAS FOUND TO BE LACKING IN SEVERAL AREAS AS WE WENT ALONG, SO MORE WINDOWS HAD TO BE ORDERED. MATERIALS WERE NEVER READY WHEN PROMISED FOR THE INSTALLER TO INSTALL AND THE PROJECT WOULD BE DELAYED FURTHER. INCORRECT PARTS WOULD BE DELIVERED. I WOULDN'T HEAR FROM THE COMPANY FOR ABOUT 2 WEEKS, SO I WOULD CALL AND LEAVE A MESSAGE AND WAIT ANOTHER 2 WEEKS. THIS WENT ON FOR MONTHS. SEVERAL DETAILS, LIKE WINDOW GRIDS AND NIGHT LOCKS, WERE FORGOTTEN UNTIL REMINDED BY US. THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE WINDOWS IS GENERALLY PRETTY GOOD AND WE LIKE THEM, BUT THE PROCESS OF GETTING THE WINDOWS AND GETTING THEM INSTALLED TOOK OVER 9 MONTHS. IT WAS VERY PAINFUL. THEN WHEN THE PROJECT WAS NEARING COMPLETION, THE CEO WAS ANXIOUS TO GET OUR MONEY AND WANTED TO HURRY FINALLY. SOME OF THAT ATTENTION TO PACE WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER EARLIER IN THE PROJECT.
Description of Work: SOME OF OUR EXTERIOR WINDOWS WERE DAMAGED IN A HAIL STORM AND MANY OF THE OTHERS WERE FAILING DUE TO AGE, SO WE CONTRACTED ALPEN TO REPLACE THEM. THEY WERE MOSTLY DONE WITH THEIR OWN CONSTRUCTED VINYL WINDOWS, VINYL SLIDING DOORS AND A FEW ALUMINUM-CLAD WOOD WINDOWS FROM ANOTHER COMPANY.

+ -1 moreEXCELLENT WORK ALWAYS ON TIME. DID EXTRA WORK. VERY GOOD FINISH WORK. ALL WINDOWS FIT PERFECTLY THE FIRST TIME. ALL ORIGINAL TRIM WORK WAS RECYCLED AND REFINISHED.
Description of Work: WINDOW REPLACEMENT FOR HOUSE, 18 WINDOWS ON EAST,SOUTH, AND NORTH SIDES OF HOUSE. ALL WINDOWS WERE DAMAGED IN HAIL STORM ON AUGUST 10TH 2004. WINDOWS WERE INSTALLED, STAINED, AND FINISHED IN 8 WORKING DAYS.
