A Bolder Moving Company, Ltd.

Using A Bolder Moving company definitely had some pros and cons. The price was very reasonable and setting up the appointment was for the most part, easy. We (the owner and I) had decided that it was a bit much for one truck so we agreed to two trucks and four movers. The morning of the move, three movers arrived on time but short one mover and a truck. During the move, it became somewhat apparent that they thought they'd be able to fit it all in one truck. No way that was going to work. While they used blankets, nothing was plastic-wrapped and we later found out that we were supposed to ask for that. What?, who are the pros here? As a result we had numerous scuffs and scratches most of which we were able to rub out or repair. Unfortunately, there was more extensive damage to some of our furniture. On several pieces, we bit the bullet and repaired it on our own. On a couple of pieces the damage to the furniture and to our home woodwork had to be professionally repaired. For a finale, while moving a king mattress up the stairs, they knock a wall sconce glass cover off the light and it shattered on our tile entryway after leaving a nice scrape on the stair railing. We called the owner and he was very apologetic saying that these were some of his best movers (hmmm??) and he sent us a claim form. We had taken pictures and sent the form and the pictures in. Nothing... I called about three weeks later and he asked me to get written estimates for the damage. I had already replaced the sconce (and had a receipt) and talked to several furniture repair shops describing the damage. Their timeframe for formal estimates coupled with having to bring the furniture in made it a ridiculous amount of my time. I emailed this information back to the owner stating that we should just settle on a mutually agreeable price. Didn't hear anything for a couple of weeks so I contacted him again. Finally, 8 weeks after the move we received a check that clearly won't cover the repairs but I was just tired of dealing with it by then.

We reserved 4 movers for our move date, with no walk through. They were the only ones who suggested that I four movers, with the piano and all, out of all of the places that I called for quotes and I definitely think they were right. Two weeks before our move date arrived, I found out that I had to be totally moved out and the house cleaned the day before my closing date on our new place. I called Boulder Moving company and they scheduled our move out date for the day before and our move in date for July 18th. And, for a one hour fee, they kept all of our stuff in the truck over night, which was great. The day we moved out, the guys arrived on time and immediately got to work. They were very efficient and respectful and just a great group of guys. There was some confusion around the location of the piano. They were not aware that it was in the basement and would need to be brought up some stairs. I assured them that I had told the person who I made the reservation with that it would need to go up stairs at both locations. But they handled it no problem. The next day the move into the new house was just as efficient and handled very well. They were a pleasure to work with and I would recommend them to anyone. The only advice I would have is to make sure to confirm multiple times if you have a certain difficult to move item.

They were great! I would highly recommend them to anyone in the future. They were professional, on time, and very courteous. They even offered to help us move the furniture that was going to goodwill.

They are outstanding! I have moved so many times and used so many moving companies but they stand out. They are fair, friendly, honest, efficient, organised, helpful, accommodating and flexible.

These folks arrived promptly and made quick work of unloading lots of heavy furniture and boxes from a large POD. They were friendly, careful, and pointed out any potential issues we would need to take care of. They also tried to anticipate any needs we might have with furniture placement. What a great team--we will definitely be return customers!

They did it quickly and efficiently, and we were pleasantly surprised how little time it took them to finish the work for us. They had a great fun attitude and yet were very professional. I highly recommend them.

Bolder Moving company arrived on time. They were very professional and personable. They took special care of my antiques and finished up quickly. They did everything we asked them to do, and they did it well. One special note: These guys organized our new storage unit SO well that we have space we did not expect. Will definitely call them when we move into our new home.

TERRIBLE! The 2 brothers showed up late, had us confused with someone else, and immediately decided the job was too much work. They decided not to get sweaty and did not stay. Yep, that's right....they literally left us high and dry without anyway to move our furniture back into our home. I'm a 49 year old female working my tuchas off, and I can't lift a safe or a mattress up 3 flights of stairs alone. Thanks for NOTHING. Shame on 2 young men. Also, be advised, no matter how slow they drive, they charge you from the time they leave the shop in Boulder. That is also something that they do not mention to you before hand.

A+ My husband and I were delighted with this business. I didn't particularly want to spend more money on the delivery aspect of the piece of furniture after purchasing it, but it was well worth it! My husband didn't have to risk straining his back, and we didn't have to hassle with borrowing someone else's truck and find the time (and energy) to do it ourselves. Astral and Oracle were extremely polite and professional, timely, and reasonable. They were able to squeeze me in on the same day of my call, and called to update me on arrival time. It was easy and worry-free. I highly recommend this business and will definitely use them again. Good customer service is huge in our book.

We asked for 3 men to help us move--two to move furniture and one to work on the loading. They arrived right on time, took a good look around, and started work immediately. They loaded all of our heavy furniture and appliances with no knicks, dings, or scrapes. They worked quickly and efficiently and unloaded at the new house just as well. They were very pleasant, but did comment that they noticed that we really like heavy wood furniture. :-) We had one large piece of furniture that we were concerned could not be moved into our master bedroom because it had to go through a narrow hall and door. They moved it in with no problem whatsoever.

Kevin and Jeff got a 30-minute late start, but they called first to let me know, and everything went perfectly after that. They were cheerful, professional, respectful of my mother, and efficient. They maneuvered a heavy sleeper sofa around some tricky corners, and adjusted the position of the bed in the new place several times. We couldn't have asked for more. Thanks guys!

They packed my belongings and moved them initially in January. This 2nd move was to move the belongs from city to city. It worked out great. They did a great job.

Overall, I would say that A Boulder Moving Company was probably as good as anybody but not outstanding. We had to schedule around snow as I lived in the foothills and they were very good about that. The office (co-owner) was excellent to deal with. The moving crew was courteous and efficient and, as I have said, probably as good as anybody in the area. The list of negatives are as follows but, again, overall they were acceptable: Arrived about an hour later than I expected but this was a Sunday so a little late was understandable. I had an on-site appraisal (extra $30) to make sure they knew what had to be moved. They still mis-estimated and ended up having to make two trips over two days even when I was continually assured that one trip would get the job done. Of course, my cost went up with the additional, next day trip. I had a problem in that a sofa had to be moved out a second story window. At first their story was, "no problem, we do it often". To make a long story short, I ended up getting the sofa out myself (with help) ahead of the move as I was sure (and still am) that they could not do it the way thay had planned. It would have been a difficulty to find out that they could not move the sofa on moving day. There was very little damage: the front door in the new house was damaged to the point that it wouldn't close and they damaged a large plant that I really wanted treated carefully. So, in summary, some complaints but nothing serious. Yes the estimate was quite a bit low and the cost would have been even higher if we didn't negotiate a little but they were efficeint, accomodating and probably as cheap as anybody.

The movers arrived on time, even a little early. The guys were friendly and worked quickly and efficiently. When we arrived at my new appartment, they moved every thing and put it where I asked very efficiently. It was a snowy day and they covered the carpet to keep from getting mud all over. There was no damage to anything. I would watch break times carefully. Their 45 minutes seemed like 1 1/2 hours to me, but I didn't check my watch carefully. I would use them again.

We hired this company to move two beds and a couch from the basement to the top floor in our house. They came later than planned but called ahead to let us know they would be late. They were able to get a large leather sofa into the basement that my husband and I had been unable to fit though the door. Not sure how they did it, especially without damaging anything. I was impressed. They had a minimum charge of two hours so the work was a little expensive for the 1 1/2 hours they were there including driving time to our house but it was worth it. I would use them again.

These guys were great. I used 4 guys which I recommend. It knocks out the job quicker and it makes more economic sense. The guys worked very hard.

Estimate was given over the phone based on # of rooms, family of 5, etc. Crew showed up exactly on time and let us know that the job was bigger than they had time for. Unfortunately we were on the next to last day of our lease and could not reschedule. The crew chief called in one more mover and an entire other truck to make the job go quicker. All the guys were very friendly and professional. They worked hard until almost 8:00PM. The final bill was in-line with the original quote. I am very happy with A Bolder Moving Co's service and would definitely hire them again.

Fantastic experience. They were great-- punctual, careful, courteous, and efficient. I really appreciated that they were flexible. We initially had planned to only have them move the heavy pieces my husband and I could not do ourselves, but we decided to have them go ahead and move everything we had boxed up. It was a great decision! Moving always takes longer than you think it will, but thankfully they did all the hard work for us.

Well due to short notice because of outside issues it was hard JUST TO FIND a moving service available because of the holiday weekend. The owner Astral Carr was extremely helpful on the phone and went above and beyond to make sure he had people available as close to possible to our needs. I can not say enough how pleasant it was to work with him on the phone and his movers were very polite, worked hard and got the job done in a wonderful fashion. His movers were careful with antiques and easy to work with. Excellent business and would gladly use again!!!!

I was very happy with the service. They were on time and very professional. I had to supply my own boxes, but I knew that up front. They had packing materials-shrink wrap to keep dresser drawers closed, and padding for TVs and other fragile items. They brought a large box to consolidate things like gym bags and other smaller, loose items. There was a 2 hour minimum, which included driving time from their facility, at $85 per hour. I only wanted the 2 hrs so we packed almost everything ourselves and used them for taking apart the bed, wrapping the mattresses and other items and loading everything. I also used them for storage and then delivery to the new location. They unwrapped everything and put the bed back together. I called ahead and asked if they could drop off some unwanted chairs and a table at Goodwill or some other location. The charge would have been for the additional driving time, but the person they moved after us wanted the table and chairs, so there was no extra cost. I would use them again and would give them the top rating.

Very efficient and on time, pleasant, and they were great at what they did.

The move was complicated because I live in the mountains, but the guys were prepared and were able to carry out the job without any problems.

Movers provided a 30 minute arrival window and arrived exactly at the end of the window. The two movers completed the work in just under the two hour minimum that they required. They were both polite, accommodating, and careful. The one "B" grade for professionalism was due to the price on the work order not matching what I was quoted on the phone. The lead mover immediately changed it when I asked. The discrepancy was due to a different price for a move requiring a moving truck (which I did not) and a 10% coupon that I found online. All in all I was very satisfied with the move and would use them again. I cannot speak to their abilities for a distance move but have no reason to expect anything other than high quality work.

Both ends of the move went perfectly. I have referred them to a friend who was just as pleased, and I am about to use them for a second time. Their website clearly outlines what is to be expected. Highly recommended!
